Logans POV

"What do you mean you can't find her?!" I yelled into the phone. Tyler called me several minutes ago letting me know a drunk Daytona was loose in the club. Then when he went to go get her she was gone. So was the guy she was with.

"Care to explain to me how you fucking lost a drunk Daytona in San Francisco?!" Tyler kept apologizing but it wasn't going to make Day randomly appear out of nowhere.

"Well if she comes back to the club keep her with you. I don't care if she fights you don't let her out of your sight. I'll drive around looking for her."

I grabbed my jacket off the chair and my keys.

I walked out of the door and slammed it behind me. I started my car and gunned it out of my garage.

She could be anywhere in the city by now. Hell she could've gotten picked up by a stranger and could be out of the city.

The thought only made me hit the gas harder. I drove to the Undergrounder where she was earlier. I would start from there after I laid into Tyler for loosing her.

I pulled up to the place cursing to myself.

The area was a bad spot in town. Drug deals were going on and I got more and more worried about Daytona.

Tyler stood outside of the doors, pacing, and running his hands through his hair. I had to resist the urge to punch his sorry face the moment I set eyes on him.

"What the hell!" I ran up to Tyler.

"Look I'm sorry man. I stepped out of the place to call you because she wasn't listening to me, but when I went back inside she was gone." He leaned against the wall and I walked inside hoping to get some answers.

The first place I checked was the bar, some lady named Lisa helped me, "Do you know a girl named Daytona Lyn?"

"D? Yea sure I know her. I'm still waiting for her to come pick up her bag. Wait why? Is she in trouble?" The bartenders face all of a sudden became serious.

"She's not in trouble. She's just drunk and my friend may or may not have lost her." Her eyes widened and she ran to the back.

When she came back she was holding a black bag, "Here this is D's. It has her clothes in it and her cellphone. I'm sorry I can't be of more help, but I can tell you the last I saw of her was with some guy named Sean."

I took the bag and walked outside to Tyler.

I shoved the bag at him and he opened it, "Uh what's this?"

"It's Daytona's bag. She left it with the bartender. It has her phone in it and clothes." I reached for the bag but Tyler held it away from me.

"Give me the bag Tyler." He shook his head no and I pinned him by the shirt against the wall, "Give me her bag. You don't get to have this since you lost her." He hung his head and gave me the bag.

"Go find her Logan. Please." I headed back to my car to continue the search for Daytona.

I drove down a random street shouting Daytonas name. When I turned onto another random road and stopped to look at her bag. Why would she have a bag with clothes in it and her phone?

I opened the bag and on top laid a huge stack of cash. I counted all the bills. She had $2000 dollars, a sweatshirt and shorts in here.

I wasn't as confused about the clothes as I was about the money, "What are you hiding Day?"

I got back to yelling Daytonas name when I heard a group of guys laughing. I stopped the car and got out.

I followed the sound of the laughter and it lead to an alley way.

"Awe ain't she a cute one boys?"

"Yea she's a keeper alright. Well we don't keep them for very long." I leaned against the wall behind them.

There were four boys all together. They stood in a semi-circle in front of Daytona who just woke up.

She rubbed the sleep from her eyes and when she assessed the situation her eyes widened in fear.

"Look at that! She's awake! Guess we don't have to take her anywhere, we can have fun with her here." I clenched my fists when I heard them talk about Daytona like this.

"What do you say to that Doll face?" The boys laughed and narrowed in on her.

"L-leave me alone please." She backed up onto the wall.

"I say no." The group of guys turned to face me and Daytona looked at me in relief.

"Oh yeah? And who are you? Her boyfriend?" They laughed again and I couldn't tell what was so funny.

"Yea I'm her boyfriend and I'm royally pissed off looking to beat someone's ass. And would you look at that? Four guys right here." Stepped off the wall.

"My cars parked in the street Day. Get inside." She didn't wait for me to say anything else.

Daytona climbed off the ground and ran to the car. Her dress had rode up and rested right under her butt.

In any other circumstances that would be hot. The four dudes saw the same thing I did and I clenched my fists.

I rolled my eyes, "Come on guys. Who wants the first swing?" Three of them advanced on me.

I guess their strategy was to hit me all at once, but they didn't think about the fact that they would get in each other's way.

So as the all took a swing towards me I ducked and covered my head.

They collapsed in a jumble trying to get up. I looked around for the fourth guy but I didn't see him anywhere so I headed back for my car.

Daytona was sitting in the passenger seat passed out again. I climbed into the front seat and started to drive.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We pulled up to my house. On our way here I called Tyler letting him know I had Daytona and that she was fine.
"Hey, Day. Wake up." I shook her as I turned off my car.
She groaned and hit off my hand. Sighing I got out of the car and went around to her side.
I opened the passenger door and unbuckled her. I picked her up and carried her bridal style through the door.
My brother was sitting on the couch but I don't think he really noticed us.
I carried Daytona upstairs and laid her in my bed. I pulled the covers back and tucked her in.
"Logan?" Her eyes fluttered open.
"Yea I'm here." I stood by her side.
"Why are you so pretty? Tyler's pretty too. And so was that dude Sean." She rolled over to her side and a smile crept up on my lips.
She clearly was still drunk, "Hey Day. What were you and Sean doing?"
She rolled back and faced me, her eyes were closed but she answered my question anyways, "Sean was going to take me to his place. But I got tired and turned down into the alley. I looked for him but he poofed."
She did an exploding motion with her hands and snuggled back up into the covers. I figured that was all I was going to get out of her so I bent down and placed a kiss on her forehead.
I walked out of the room and right before I closed the door I heard her say, "Thanks for saving me Logan." Then the room filled with her snores.
I closed the door softly and walked downstairs. Her bag sat on the table and I was drawn back to wondering how a seventeen year old girl has $2000 dollars in cash.
I pulled out my phone and dialed Jake. After the third ring he picked up, "Jake's sperm bank, you squeeze it we freeze it. How may I help you?"
I rolled my eyes at Jake before I answered, "It's me dipwad. What do you know about Daytona outside of school?" I asked him and he was silent on the other end for awhile.
"Not much. All I know is she liked to fight at an Underground pl– Pizza joint." He mumbled something before he got back to talking, "That's Daytona for you. She likes to fight for that good old pizza."
I wasn't buying what he said but figured I had more pressing matters to deal with, "Okay whatever. I need you to look up in the databases for a guy named Sean. I don't know his last name but I know he lives near the Undergrounder."
Jake sighed, "I don't have much to go on, but I should have it in an hour. I'll give you a call when I find him." We hung up and I went to the kitchen.
I took a pizza slice out of the box and heated it up in the microwave, "Who was that girl?" My brother, Tanner, entered the kitchen and leaned against the counter.
"Her names Daytona. Not that it's any of your concern though." The microwave beeped and I grabbed the pizza out of it.
"'Not that it's any of my concern'? I'm sorry. Who's roof are you staying under? That's right mine. So yea it is kind of my concern."
I could tell my brother had been drinking form the number of beer cans that littered the living room.
"You know good and well that mom left this house to me in her will. The only reason it's 'yours' is because I'm not eighteen yet." Tanner lunged across the room and grabbed my shirt collar.
"Never ever mention mom again or so help me god I'll–"
"Logan?" A timid voice came from the stairs and I peeked my head around to see Daytona standing at the bottom in her party dress still, "I'm going to be sick."
She covered her mouth and I pushed Tanner off of me to show her where the bathroom was.
We sat inside the bathroom, her leaning over the toilet, and me holding her hair back.
I rubbed her back in soothing circles as she cried and said she was sorry for throwing up.
"It's okay Day. Your drunk. Drunk people throw up. It's not a big deal." She threw up a few more times before she flushed the toilet and washed her face.
When we came out of the bathroom my brother wasn't in the living room so I assumed he was in his room.
I lead Daytona back to my room and gave her a hoodie to put on. I turned around while she changed but when she said she was done I turned to face her.
My hoodie feel right above mid thigh on her, "Get some rest Day. You need it." She laid in my bed but grabbed onto my arm.
"Was that your brother?" Worry lines etched themselves into her eyebrows.
"Yeah. Yeah it was." I sat on the edge when I felt like she had more to say.
"Do you want to talk about it?" Her voice was soft. I knew she wanted to sleep but was staying up for me.
"There's nothing to talk about." I pulled my arm out of her grasp and walked out.
I sat downstairs on the couch scrolling through Instagram when I got a call from Jake, "Hey what's up?"
"So I found out that dude's name and where he goes to school." I could here Jake typing away on the other side.
"Okay what is it."
"His name is Sean Cooper and he goes to school at Riverbend." I sighed out loud.
Of course he goes to Riverbend. That's where all the guys hang out of they're not out getting drunk off their asses.
"Thanks Jake. I owe you one."
"It was for Daytona so you don't owe me anything." I hung up on Jake and rolled to my side. Sleep crept up on me and I quickly fell asleep.
