《Hotshot? ~{Tomboo}~》~{Chapter 10}~

After avoiding talking to Ranboo in homeroom, it was unfortunate that I couldn't in science.
I sighed and sat down at my assigned seat. Ranboo walked in and sat down beside me. He acted as if we hadn't just argued before school.
He smiled and grabbed my thigh, "Hey baby, what's up?"
I flinched and slapped his arm, "Don't touch me. And don't call me that."
He chuckled, "Sorry darling, I got carried away."
"Don't call me that either." I rolled my eyes.
He smiled at me, "Why so grumpy?"
"I'm not, I just hate you." I smiled back.
He raised his eyebrows happily, "At least your smiling at me."
I immediatly stopped smiling and looked away, "Just shut up and leave me alone."
"That might be tough, I am your partner~ after all." He teased.
"Project partner." I said.
"Oh right, that too." He laughed.
The teacher began speaking and he stopped laughing.
"You should stop making jokes. I already have a partner." I whispered.
He furrowed his eyebrows jealous and confused, "What? Who?"
"None of your buisness." I quietly laughed.
He crossed his arms upset.
How cute.
He's jealous of my fake girlfriend.
Though if you count Eri-...no shes not my girlfriend.
I walked out of class Ranboo following me.
"Why can't I know her name!?" He asked for the millionth time.
I just rolled my eyes ignoring him. Then Tubbo came up to us, "Who's name?"
I laughed, "No one Tubs."
"His girlfriend!" Ranboo complained, "He won't tell me her name-" Ranboo smiled and his eyes sparkled as he looked at Tubbo, "Can you tell me?"
I slapped his arm, "Leave him alone, he won't tell you."
Tubbo looked at me confused as I put my arm over his shoulder. We walked away from Ranboo and I whispered, "Roll with it?"
"Are you referring to Erica?" He whispered.
I shook my head, "We're not like that."
He nodded and then Ranboo caught up, "Oh c'mon!"

"Sorry Ranboo, but I can't tell you." Tubbo giggled.
I laughed and Ranboo rolled his eyes. He followed us all the way into the cafeteria and thankfully as soon as we entered he was swarmed with his fan base.
Tubbo chuckled, "What was that all about?"
"Oh nothing Tubs." I smiled, "No let's go outside, yeah?"
He nodded smiling, "Mkay."
We got food and then quickly went outside. We sat ontop of the bleachers and ate.
"Nice to see you've befriended him." Tubbo smiled.
I awkwardly laughed, "Oh! Uh- yeah....I guess so."
Tubbo seemed happy, "He's not that bad, right?!"
I shrugged, "I suppose not..."
"Mhmm, and now can't you see why I like him?" He asked cheery.
I nodded, "Yeah....he's-"
Incredibly good looking, funny, charming and somewhat ki-
"Cool I guess." I said.
He rolled his eyes, "He's more than that, Tommy. He's incredibly good looking, funny, charming and very kind."
It's like he stole my words.....
....or more like I stole his.
"I dunno about all that." I chuckled.
Tubbo shrugged, "You'll see. If you just talk to him more and more."
I nodded, "Perhaps."
"Finally I found you two!" I heard Ranboo yell.
At the bottom of the bleachers he stood waving. Tubbo waved back with a light pink blush. I blushed and looked away. He walked up to us, "I managed to get away from that crowd, though it took a bit."
I nodded. Tubbo giggled, "They're always following you, that must've been difficult."
Ranboo chuckled, "Yeah."
He sat down very closely beside me and touched my hand. I pulled my hand away quickly and he scooted closer, "So what were you two talking about?"
Tubbo blushed brightly, "Nothing too important!"
"Mhmm, was it that mystery girlfriend?" Ranboo asked staring at me.
I scooted away from him, "No."
"Why do you care so much about it anyway?" Tubbo asked him.
I finally looked at Ranboo as he spoke, "I don't."

Tubbo nodded confused and then changed the topic, "So.....do you have a girlfriend- or boyfriend?"
Ranboo smiled, "No, but I hope to have a boyfriend real soon."
Tubbo and I both blushed brighlty. Tubbo asked, "Why a boyfriend?"
Ranboo smiled back at Tubbo, "Cause there's this really cute boy I like. I'm pretty sure he likes me back, but he hasn't told me yet.....and I really want to be with him."
I flushed red, "I've gotta use the restroom."
Tubbo looked to me, "Okay."
Ranboo grabbed my hand, "Don't be long."
I pulled away so Tubbo wouldn't see and I walked off to the restroom.
Tommy went to the restroom. He was probably trying to give me the chance to talk to Ranboo alone.
We were silent for a few minutes, but then I decided to take my opportunity.
"Could you tell me more about this boy?" I asked scooting closer to him.
Ranboo thought for a moment, "Well....he's difficult to talk about."
"Why?" I asked.
He blushed lightly, "I've only recently began to speak with him....and in doing so.....I find him adorable. He's cute, smart, and sorta funny."
Could he be talking about me?!
I don't wanna get ahead of myself, but....it just seems like he's describing me!
"Can you give me the first letter of his name?" I asked blushing brightly.
He blushed brighter too, "T"
Oh my gosh! He likes me!
My heart beat fast, "Oh.....cool."
Ranboo beamed happily, "Mhmm."
I had gone to the restroom to control my blush. I calmed down and had returned to my normal shade, so I walked back over to the stands.
I saw Tubbo and Ranboo sitting together in silence. I walked up the stands to where they were and I sat in between them, as I had before.
"So...what were you two talking about?"
"Crushes." Tubbo replied looking down at his hands.
I nodded, "Cool...."
"Whose your crush Tommy?" Ranboo asked.
Tubbo looked at me too, seeming curious.
"Uh-"
"You don't have to answer if you don't want to." Tubbo interrupted me.
I stayed quiet. Ranboo grabbed my hand, "How bout this, do you even have a crush?"
Luckily Tubbo didn't notice the hand holding. I awkwardly replied, "Y- Yes...,but I have a girlfriend. "
"We all do, and sometimes it's better if we just keep them to ourselves." Tubbo said.
Ranboo nodded, "Fair enough."
I pulled my hand away from Ranboo and looked to Tubbo, "So did you two share out who you guys liked?"
"Not exactly.....we sorta kept it private." Tubbo smiled looking at Ranboo.
I nodded, "Mkay."
I wonder what happened....
Ranboo touched my finger lightly with his causing me to blush. Then he began to gently rub my hand.
"Did you need something?" I asked sounding annoyed.
Tubbo seemed confused as Ranboo cleared his throat, "Uhm no! I just uh-.....nothing."
I held my own hand in my lap as we sat in silence.
Tubbo beamed, he seemed very happy. He broke the silence, "So, are you two friends now?"
I looked to Ranboo who smiled at me, "Yeah we're friends."
I awkwardly chuckled, "Well....not exactly."
Tubbo frowned, "What do you mean?"
I shrugged, "It's confusing I guess...."
"Why?" Ranboo asked.
I sighed, "Cause I don't completely hate you, but I also don't like you."
Tubbo giggled softly, "At least you don't hate each other.
Ranboo smiled at me, "Yeah....it's a step to you liking me."
I rolled my eyes, "Whatever."
Tubbo laughed, "Well I think you two would be great friends if you'd just give each other a chance."
I shook my head, "I dunno..."
"How about you hang at my place after school today? I mean- you'd have to wait for me to finish practice, but afterwards I'd like to hang out with you." Ranboo smiled.
I looked over at Tubbo who nodded his head happily. I sighed, "Alright."

STEM: The Topical Dungeon
Inspired by CORE: The Volcanic Dungeon by Ace Arriande and a spiritual successor to my writing prompt series Evolution Barricade, STEM is a series following the reincarnation of Kaden into the fantasy world of Brogdar. Reborn as a "DM" and a plant, Kaden tackles the challenges of being the agent of the chaotic god: trying to be his very own dungeon master. However, unlike other stories, Kaden is often making fun of and dealing with disadvantages that the normal reincarnated hero would never have to worry about. A parody of the normal tropes of isekai, STEM is a periodic series that is intended to release a minimum of once per week. There may be times where there is more than one drop, but those would be special occasions. Additionally, the content tags are simply to try and ensure my readers know these stories can encompass a large variety of things. They may not immediately be in focus, but they will all end up appearing!
