"I'm not gonna sit here and wait for you to make up your mind on who you want to be with. I know who I want but it doesn't mean I'm gonna wait for you forever." I say.
"Wait who do you want to be with?" He says. This boy is clueless.
"You. But if you want Wendy then-" He cuts me off by kissing me. I pull away in shock. I look at him for a second before kissing him back. Eventually we both pulled away. He smiled at me. Seeing him smile immediately makes me smile too.
"I'm sorry y/n." He says still standing close in front of me.
"I'm sorry too." I say, still smiling.
"Please know that I have no feelings towards Wendy at all. Your the only girl I love. I promise." He says. That's one of my favourite things about Benny, it's obvious when he's being genuine or not. And in this moment I could tell he was. I knew that if I were to respond to him, it would be pretty much the same thing he said so instead I pull him in for another kiss. We make our way back to the sandlot. The boys can see our smiles and how close we are standing with eachother, they all start laughing with eachother saying 'I told you so!' 'Finally!'. I laugh.
We play baseball for a couple hours until we all have to go home. Eventually it's only me,smalls and Benny walking. Me and smalls get to our house. I kiss Benny goodbye and walk into my house.
"So are you two together then?" Smalls asks me.
"I think so" I smile.
"Took you long enough" he laughs.
"Come on kenny throw it!" I yell.

He throws it and we all watch it fly into the air. But we also see a group of bikes coming towards us. Philips.
"Can we all be nice please." I say to the sandlot boys. They complain but agree.
"Jordan, be nice." I also say to Philips.
"I just came here to ask if you wanted to play a game." He says
We look at eachother confused.
"Why?" Asks Benny.
"Well I was thinking we need another player on our team so we thought we would make you guys a deal." He says.
"Go on" I say
"We want y/n on our team." He continues
"Sorry Jordan but no."
"What if we play a game and whoever wins gets y/n."
I look at Benny. He's giving me a look signalling for me to say no. So are the other boys.
"Only if I get to play with Benny." I say.
"Deal." He agrees "Later today at noon, our field."
"See you there Jordan!" I yell as they bike off.
I turn around and all the boys look mad.
"What? We're gonna win, don't worry." I reassure them.
"How are so certain?" They ask
"Cause you got me and Benny." I answer. "Besides there only good player is Jordan."
"Alright, we only have two hours until we have to be there, so let's get practicing." Says Benny
