《Bennys girl. (Benny X reader)》Part 11- waste of time
Advertisement
I wait for a while. The sky slowly gets darker. Every time somebody walks past, my head shoots up to see if it's Benny. But it never is. Around an hour has past and he's still not there. I was thinking about what I actually was going to say but I figured I would just be honest and say what comes to mind. A while passes and I hear a soft voice. It's Benny. I stand up. I see him but I don't go over. He's with Wendy. I walk inside and slam the door. He looks over but doesn't do anything. He just carries on walking with Wendy.
I skip dinner and walk straight to my room. I can hear my mom yell from the kitchen asking if I want my dinner. I don't come out my room so she doesn't bother asking again. I feel so stupid, what a waste of time. I don't want to think about it anymore so I go straight to sleep.
I wake up and check the time. 9:04am. I'm late. I get out of bed and change into shorts, a t-shirt and my jersey. I walk over to my door, put on my black converse shoes and tie them up. I grab my LA hat on my way out. I run to the sandlot. They're already playing. Yeah-yeah runs over to me.
"So? What happened last night?!" He asks.
"He was with Wendy." I say, smiling sadly.
"Oh. I'm sorry" yeah-yeah says before running off.
He runs over to squints. By squints reaction I can tell that he's told him. At this point everyone has stopped playing. Benny is looking at everyone confused. Everyone but Benny run over to me. They were all shouting in a whisper
"He was with Wendy?!" They all say.

I nod. Benny walks over. Everyone stays quiet.
"What's happening? Y/n how come you're so late?" He asks
"It doesn't matter, let's just play." I take the bat from him and go over the the diamond. I get ready to bat. I give him a look signalling for him to do his heater. Kenny throws it to me and I bat it in Bennys direction. The ball goes very fast towards him. It heads in the direction of his face so he moves out the way knowing he won't be able to catch it.
"What the hell y/n!" He yells.
"What?!" I say acting like I have no idea why he's yelling.
"You almost hit me." He yells again.
"That's a shame!" I yell.
He walks over to me. I stand where I am, not moving. He grabs my hand and walks out of the sandlot. I follow him with not much of a choice. He stops where nobody can see us. He's standing close in front of me and lets go of my hand.
"What's the matter with you!?" He says to me.
I stay silent for a moment.
"How was your date with Wendy?" I ask.
He looks at me annoyed.
"So that's why your mad?!" He says frowning.
"I don't care if you like her but tell me if you do so I don't keep on wasting my time." I say.
"What do you mean wasting your time?" He asks.

Also if your feeling like this series is very much like Arifureta, then I'm sorry. Because the beginning of this story will sound very much like that series.
