CHAPTER 29
"Xavier, stop it," I groan and I end up pushing him off of my bed onto the hard floor. He winces and rubs his shoulder.
"You are so violent!" He groans which makes me giggle. Instead of climbing back onto my bed he sits at my desk chair, holding my guitar, and he looks at me as his fingers strum various chords.
"So, what are you wearing tonight?" He asks.
And I grin at him, "It's a secret." To be honest, I don't even know what I'm wearing. They must have run out of original dresses by now as I've worn so many on the show. Jo was supposed to be coming over in half an hour.
Xavier narrowed his eyes at me before my little sister ran into the room. Sophia was about to say something before she saw Xavier. And just like the first time they met she stood there in shocked silence, opening and closing her mouth before letting out a tiny squeal. She ran out of the room slamming the door in her wake. I often question her mental stability.
"Um, sorry about that. Again." I muttered, my face heated red.
Xavier looked at me for a moment before cracking up laughing. He wrapped his arms around me while he chuckled into my neck.
"I love your sister." he laughed.
I raised an eyebrow, "Hey now," I teased.
He shook his head and then kissed my forehead, "It's ok, you're still my favourite Kennedy girl."
I was about to reply when Jo and her army troopers burst into the room. That's probably why Sophia came into here in the first place.
"Ok, out lover boy, you have still have to pick up your date."
He reluctantly pulled his arms away from me and groaned.
"Hey, don't complain. I'll go on a date with Rose then." I chastised him with a grin. He, so smartly, stuck his tongue out at me.
"Out." Jo, said firmly, pointing to the door. Xavier saluted her with a cheeky grin, highlighting his pretty dimples. I sound like a fangirl.
"Aye aye, captain." He winked at me and left.
I didn't win the show, and surprisingly neither did Lindsay despite her dad, he probably gave up on bribing everyone when Elliot got arrested. Smart man.
Instead Rose won as America had fallen in love with the gorgeous, crazy, talented dancer; and I mean who wouldn't?
Xavier was taking Rose to the Grand Ball tonight as his date. And I was going with Charlie. A couple photos at the red carpet and on the dance floor and then the dates would be swapped.
And I'll be stuck with the idiotic boy.
My favourite idiotic boy.
Jo and her troopers pulled me down into the chair of death and pulled out their weapons.
Just kidding, but seriously; five bags of make up and hair utensils. Is that necessary?
I mean, way to lower a girls self esteem.
Soon brushes were attacking my face, fake eyelashes applied, heavy loads of lipstick and foundation and powder. Lot's of powder. But the result, as usual with Jo, turned out amazingly natural and fresh and pretty. My hair was curled and crimped and styled into natural looking beachy ways with the special touch of sea salt spray. My skin looked like I had spent many days at the beach with a sun kissed appeal. Two parts from the front of my hair was brought to the back and braided back giving me a bohemian half up, half down do.

I dressed myself into a two piece outfit, a white sleeved three quarter bodice with a flowy white lace skirt. It was elegant and fresh and very bohemian; topped with my sea blue nails, heels and jewellery.
Just as I finished the doorbell echoed throughout house alerting everyone that Charlie was here. Jo helped me walk down the stairs and I made my way down to see Charlie in a fancy tux with a red tie. He gave me a friendly smile, "You look pretty Annie."
I smiled back, "Just wait till you see Rose."
He looped his arm with mine and we made our way, laughing, to the old fashion vintage mustang, when the chauffeur drove off to the Hilton Hotel, where the Grand Ball would be held out. The car soon pulled up to the round about at the front where the valet was rushing around trying to find places for all these cars. Paparazzi lined the doors and lights were flashing. The top 20 girls were all invited to the ball along with their own dates. And I could slightly recognise someone walking down the carpet into the fancy hotel. A lot of musicians were invited as well, like the ball consisted of musicians and actors and actresses and models and everyone who had a name in the world. So you could understand why I was quite scared. This would be the best spot for a terrorist attack; I mean if this place was bombed, more than half of the creativity made known in the world would be wiped out.
'Positive thoughts, positive thoughts,' I chanted in my head. Charlie helped me out of the car once it was our queue and the cameras roared.
"Annabelle, what do you think of Rose winning the show?"
"Are you and Xavier secretly in a relationship?"
"Are you pregnant, Annabelle?!"
Reporters shoved their microphones into our faces while the security struggled to keep them back. I was asked to get a few photos on the carpet and afterwards we made our way inside. The hotel oozed rich people and fanciness, which probably would explain why Iggy Azaela was invited as well. Cause she's so fancy. Well, I'm pretty sure I saw Charlie XCX by the statue near the fountain just then. Camera man Charlie and I followed everyone down the hall to make it to the grand hall. When the door man opened the doors wide I was amazed to see the amazing decorations which filled the hall. The different bands and orchestras and performers on the stage giving pff lovely background music as people arrived. Charlie and I greeted many people from the show and I was surprised when some AMAZING people came and said hi to me like LO – freaking – RDE! That girl is a flipping genius. And I'm pretty sure I walked past Beyonce. BEYONCE. This was absolutely incredible! Like this could only happen in my wildest dreams. I mean I'm in the same freaking room as ONE DIRECTION. Even Selena Gomez said hi. But none of them were who I was really looking for. And it wasn't until half an hour later when the band (5 Seconds of freaking summer) quietened down and everyone made way at the door to welcome in Xavier and his date. They walked in, arm in arm, and smiled at everyone. The whole ball room applauded them as I they floated in. Rose looked stunning as she had a floor length ball gown in a dark red colour which hugged her dancer curves. What I thought was funny was Xavier was wearing a blue tie to match me while Charlie wore a red tie to match Rose. I giggled at this when Xavier walked past me, giving me a cheeky wink.

Soon, once Xavier said hi to everyone with Rose on his arms, Charlie left me to sweep his girl away when gentle arms wrapped around my waist from behind. Lips pressed to my cheek gently and I turned around his arms to smile up at Xavier.
"You look freaking beautiful," He said while he kissed my lips. I could feel the stare of the crowd and the gasps from a few girls – no doubt the ones who were on the show. I mean, I didn't even win. But Xavier didn't worry about them and so I decided not to.
"Eh, you look alright." I giggled. He pouted and tried pushing me away when I threw my arms around his neck pulling him closer towards me.
"I'm just kidding Xav," I giggled kissing his cheek, "You look beautiful to."
He rolled his eyes and huffed, "I look freaking hot ok."
I raised an eyebrow, "Woah, calm down Justin Bieber, got a big ego though."
Xavier chuckled before whispering in my ear, "Would you like to repeat that again louder, he's right behind you."
"Oh my god," I blushed and turned around to see Justin Bieber. Thankfully he wasn'tpaying attention to what I was saying but what some model was. (Obviously he's not with Selena.)
Xavier laughed out loud behind me until I punched his arm. He gave me a look before taking me back into his arms.
His arms held onto my waist while I wrapped mine around his neck as we swayed to the music. (Ed Sheeran is perfect live and it was my favourite song to – Thinking Out Loud.)
"This reminds me of our first date." I grin.
"Ah, the music festival. I should take you another date, don't you think."
I giggled, "Well, I'm already yours."
His lips touched mine, "good."
As the night went on, Xavier got many dance requests from girls and I got some, surprisingly, from some other guys. (LIKE HARRY FREAKING STYLES) I didn't even know I was such a fangirl of people till this night. But after every dance I always ended back into the arms of Xavier Matthews, where I belonged. This night was beyond perfect.
But it got better.
Xavier was on stage performing his big heart out. It was one of my favourite songs that he wrote. Love on, till morning comes. I remember he played this one morning after we had fallen asleep in the music room.
Darling, I will love you
till your heart is mine
I will love you,
till the stars don't shine
And darling,
I will love you till morning comes
Xavier played his acoustic guitar beautifully while his accompanist; a violin, a cello and a piano played in harmony with him. Tears formed in my eyes while his beautiful voice washed over the ball room and his dad, who was sitting next to me on one side (while Xavier sat at the other) turned to me.
"Thank you so much Belle, you brought my son back."
I smiled at him shyly while he continued, "And I've heard a lot of your stuff. I know it was you who evoked all this music and creativity back out of Xavier."
"It was there all along, he just needed to find it."
Mr. Matthews gently shook his head, "No, he needed to find you." I don't think my cheeks could take this any more.
"Annie, I've seen some of your work, on Youtube and some of your original work which Xavier has shown me. You have incredible talent. It would be an honour to represent you with Golden Records."
Was this what I think it is?! A freaking record deal?!
"Oh my gosh, that would be a dream come true!" Is this even real?!
Mr. Matthews just laughed at me, "The world really needs to hear some of your work. If you came by the office tomorrow we could sort everything out."
I nearly threw my arms around him, "Thank you , thank you, thank you, a million times thank you!" He chuckled and then said, "You deserve it Annie."
I sat frozen in shock as my dream came to life, I watched Xavier finish his song on stage before he cheekily grinned at the audience.
"That song was inspired by my beautiful girlfriend, Annabelle Kennedy."
An applause ripped through the ball room as Rose winked at me from across the table. Whistles were hooted and I was pushed up out of my chair by Mr. Matthews himself. I got the idea and ran to the stage throwing my arms around Xavier.
"I love you," I whispered. He pressed his lips around mine in answer. I could have died happy right then and there.
Officially the most greatest night.
