CHAPTER 25

Roses date was apparentley really fun. She kept telling me about how flawless the ballet had been. They had VIP front row tickets and Rose wouldn't shut up about how the main guy caught her eye many of times. Or she was just dreaming.

I was the last on the list and today was my day.

And I was freaking out.

A lot.

Soon the camera crew and Jo entered my room as it showed the big preperation for the date, Jo pulled out a a three quarter light denim shirt with sleeves and was slightly loose and a highwaisted floral maxi skirt with beautiful designs. A long with a pair of leather egyptian sandals with a brown leather sling bag.

At least I knew it was some what casual. Because I honestly vould not do a formal dinner date. I'm too sociably awkward for that. Especially with someone as hot as Xavier.

My hair was slightly curled into 'messy beach waves' with the sides pulled back and clipped with bobby pins. Jo topped my hair off with a thin flower crown made of tiny white flowers.

My make up was done next, everything simple and light except my lips which was done in a dark maroon red. I got dressed and was fitted with a ying and yang necklace made on wood.

As I was dressed and the camera people interviewed me on what I thought the dayte was going to be like and how I was feeling. Just for the sake of entertainment.

When I was done Jo handed me my bag which was now full.

"There's a limo out the front ready to take you to your next stop. I know you'll have lots of fun!'

And she pushed me out of the door. The chaueffer greeted me and opened the door as I cmlibed into the fancy limo alone, except with the one camera man. I was nervous, wondering where he could possibly be taking me.

The we got off at the LAX.

Um, what?

The chaueffer opened the dooe and as I stepped out he handed me a boarding pass.

"Have a good flight Miss Kennedy." And he drove off leaving me alone at the airport with the camera man; Jono was working on another project so he wasn't able to come.

Looking down I saw it was a domestic flight; La to New York. Gate 17.

The plane leaves at 12:00 which gave me exactly twenty minutes to check in and find gate 17. Groaning I hurried through the masses of people and managed to get checked in bedore lossing myself in a maze of people.

"Final call, New York. Twelve PM flight. Final Call."

I ran as the voice sounded overhead. I counted the gates as I ran past. 15, 16, 17...

The lady was about to shut the door when I ran up to her. She gave me a disapproving look as she let me on board. Then the flight attendant helped me find my seat in business class?!

This was fancy.

I ended up falling asleep and arrived in New York super energised. I made way through the airport to a sea of people. I noticed some people holdig signs standing near the arrivals area and sure enough a man stood there with an 'Annabelle Kennedy' sign.

"Hello Miss Kennedy," the driver said and then he led me to another limo, opening the door. I climbed in thanking the driver, but this time it wasnt empty.

Xavier sat in across from me.

"Xavier!" I greeeted in surprise and he laughed. He was wearing black skinny jeans with a nice button up white shirt with rolled sleeves up to his elbows. And of course his white Chuck Taylor's.

"Hey Belle, you look beautiful."

I blushed and looked away quietly thanking him before curiousity kicked in, "So where are we going?"

He smirked at me, "It's a surprise."

I groaned. How come Rose got to know here date before and I don't. He laguhed at me amused, "You''ll like it I promise."

"Please tell me." I begged.

"Nope."

I sighed and planned to give him the silent treatment but with Xavier it is impossible. We talked and talked about everything and about nothing and when there was nothing left to say the silence was welcomed. Comfortable.

Soon our car was being pulled to a stop. I couldn't see out of the curtained windows but I could feel the pulse and vibrations of music through the car. The door was opened and Xavier climbed out, holding the door for afterwards.

I took a look around and gasped.

Boogie on a Hill Music Festival.

I've always wanted to go, ever since I was little. My dad had promised he would take me when I turned sixteen but of course that never happened. It was as big as Coachella back in California, as big as Spendour in the Grass back in Australia.

"Oh my gosh Xavier! Thank you!"

This is incredible! This very farm was used for Woodstock back in 1969!

Xavier handed me my wrist band and we walked through the front gates with ease. I welled up with excitement as Xavier handed me the program for the bands playing in the night.

"The Neighbourhood?" He asked, checking the times. I nodded and he led the way down to the Barn stage. The camera man following behind. We weaved in and out through the crowds before we got to the big barn. Lanterns and fairy lights hung from the ceiling and buntings lined the walls with more fairy lights. The Soorleys, a band from Australia, finished their set and The Neighbourhood came on. Immediately they startedplaying, Sweater Weather and the crowd went wild. It was packed in the barn but Xavier held my hand and weaved us thorugh, the camera man following behind.

"It's our song." Xavier whispered so the camera didn't pick it up despite being in a ridiculously loud environment. I grinned up at him. When it got to the chorus a circle opened in the middle and couple were dancing to the beat of the song, at a steady pace. I clapped along laughing before Xavier pulled me into the middke and started swinging me around. I couldn't stop laughing. I felt so free and happy with hin. He spun me under his arm and soon the crowd came back together, belting out the lyrics to the song.

We walked around the whole venue, finding some of our favourite band and artists like Sam freaking Smith! (And we danced to him as well!) We watched The Artic Monkeys who are the definition of perfect, and Matt Corby played on a small intimate stage. We found this really cool band called Tigertown who were sick! And CHVRCHES, City and Colout, Bon Iver, Angus and Julia Stone, Mumford and Sons, Lilly Allen. It was the greatest line up!

We danced all night. Any excuse at all to hold my hand he took it. We bought fairy floss and had over priced pizza for diner. We sat on a picnic rug to eat it, on the hill which had a gret view of the main stage, where the 1975 was playing. The camera man, Phil, had gone on his break so we had a few minutes of reality to ourselves. (And to be honest, Jono is so much more cooler than Phil.)

Xavier sat with his legs slightly apart and had pulled me to sit in between them, leaning my back onto his chest. He wrapped his arms around me and nuzzled his head into my neck. I lsced my fingers with his and we were entertwined together. My pulse was beating eratically and I'm pretty sure he noticed as he pressed his lips upon my neck.

I let out a nervous giggle and he looked up at me. I had no idea what I was doing. He smiled at me as I faced him and he brushed a strand of my hiar out of my face. He was just gazing into my eyes, searching, with admiration. He cupped my cheek.

"I like you Belle. A lot."

"I like you too" I barely whispered. He smiled warmly, "You mean so much to me. Im so lucky to have met you on the show, because I wouldn't have been able to get through this without you," he said, "You've helped me in so many ways imagineable. You made me happy again. I've got a family again. I'm me again," His voice was husky which sent shivers down my spine, "You make me want to be the best I can be. I need you Belle, I really do." He whispered.

He was so close, our nose were brushinf against each other.

"I need you to." I whispered.

And I did. With him I had a place in the world.

Not just a girl with no parents. Not just a girl with very little friends. I was me.Annabelle Kennedy. Who lives and breathes music and a need to create. He was the one who brought me out of my shell. So I can sing in front of crouds. I was able to feel the music. Feel the words and emotions – the ones he evoked out of me.

His lips formed a smile and his other hand cupped my other cheek, he looked in my eyes, seeking permission. I smiled gently back t him and he gently pressed his lips to mine as my eyes fluttered shut.

Warm. Gentle. Strong.

His scent fulfilled me. He invaded my senses.

Xavier, Xavier, Xavier.

My hands moved on their own accord, tangling themselves with his hair, tugging slightly causing him to moan against my lips. He pulled away slightly , our foreheads still touching. He pecked me lightly on the nose. Then wrapped his arms around me again burying his face into my hair. And as I tried to focus on the band playing in front of me and the gorgeous Matt Healy all I could feel was xavier. And his lips pressing diery kisses up and down my neck leaving trails of fire. I shudderd in pleasure.

"I need you," he whispered huskily.

"I need you too." I replied.

He was mine and I was his.

It was near midnight when the final band, London Grammar finished their set and we made our way hand in hand back to the limo. We were both delirious – in exhaustion and happiness. The stars were bright and the moon was smiling. As we waited for the car Xavier wrapped his arms around me as Phil ran off to the toilet.

He kissed my forehead. Then my nose. Then my lips. And I giggled.

"Belle?" He asked softly.

"Mmm..."

"Be mine? My girl?"

I smile so wide I felt like Demi Lovato. I jumped and wrapped my arms around his neck.

"Yes Xav! I would love to!"

He grinned and kissed my forehead, "No matter what happens on the show?" He asked.

"No matter what happens on the show." I confirmed.

He buried his face into my hair again making me laugh.

"You like doing that don't you."

He breathed in, "You smell like cinamon, and vanilla."

A car horn broke us out of our world.

"Cars here kids!" Phil shouted as we all jogged over to the car. Fortunately Phil sat in the front with the driver and so Xavier and I spent the majority of the ride wrapped around each other. At the airport we got Xavier's private jet back to LA as there were no more flights at this time of night on any commercial airline.

The ride was cosy, sitting together on a couch with a blanket while watching The Other Woman. A hilarious movie! I fell asleep around three am and I wasn't entirely sure what time we arrived back in LA. I felt myself being carried from the plane to a car and then from the car to the mansion. I felt lips press against my forehead and afterwards I was dead to the world.

A/N: Yay they kissed! Wooo!

OH MY GOSH THE 1975 ARE FLIPPING PERFECT AND IM CRYING BECAUSE THE CONCERT IS OVER AND THEY"RE JUST SO BEAUTIFUL AND MATT HEALY MAKES ME CRY. HE IS JUST SO BEAUTIFUL OH MY GOD I CANT EVEN DEAL WITH LIFE.

Anywho.

I love you all and HOLY CRAP OVER ONE MILLION READS I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH!! THIS IS COMPLETELY INSANE!

Qotu: If you could pick where Xavier and Annie's date was, where would you choose? :)
