The alarms all went off in sync, a weird melody of everyone's favorite song playing to wake them up. You reached towards your night stand to grab it but face planted into a solid muscular chest. Blinking a few times you cleared your vision to find a messy headed Kuroo asleep curled into your side. You tried reaching over him, your fingers just falling short a few inches of the phones edge. As you tried to stretch further he stirred beneath your arm.

"I got it" Noya said still wiping the sleep from his eyes, he walked over grabbing your phone and turned the alarm off. Tanaka groaned on the floor, grumpily refusing to get up so Daichi snatched the blanket off his body.

"Its freezing give it back!" he shouted.

"Put clothes on and you wont be cold" Daichi said dropping Tanaka's bag onto his chest.

"Kuroo wake up" you said softly, swiping the hair out of his eyes. He groaned in response and buried his face into your chest.

"I got it" Daichi smiled evilly and walked up behind Kuroo ready to grab him.

*RING* *RING*

"ummm.... It's your mom" Daichi said looking at you confused, he grabbed your phone and handed it to you.

"Hello?" you questioned answering it.

"Hello Dear, how are you?" she asked, she didn't give you a chance to answer before she kept talking. "I was calling to let you know that next week you will have a couple of guests staying at the house, your fathers friend is having work done on his home and his sons need a room for a few days. They are sweet boys. What's that noise in the background?" she suddenly asked, you hadn't noticed anyone making any sound. "Do you have more guys over? People are going to start questioning your motives with these guys. Is that sweet sugar boy there?" she asked.

"No mom Sugawara is not here, I had a few guys from the team sleep over because we are in the middle of a tournament to qualify for Nationals." You explained shaking your head at her line of questioning.

"What about Kuroo, is he there?" she asked ignoring everything else you said.

"Yes he is right here next to me" you said.

"Let me speak to him" she demanded, you placed the phone on Kuroo's ear.

"Hello Mama, how are you today?" he asked, his voice didn't even sound sleepy but his eyes were still closed tight.

"Awe my son, it's so good to hear from you! You really must get her to call me more, and you need to come visit us in America, you would love it here." She said fawning over him.

"Of course, we will need to plan a visit once we have some free time. School and practice have us very busy at the moment, so I apologize we haven't called more" you rolled your eyes at his niceness towards her.

"Maybe when you come visit you can ask her father for her hand! Wouldn't that be so amazing!" she sounded annoyingly chipper so you snatched the phone from his ear.

"Mom will you cut it out! I am too young to be engaged and I've told you many times how I feel about all this, so please stay out of it!" you snapped at her.

"I'm sorry I forget that you cant seem to keep it in your pants for two seconds, what was I thinking!" she said snarkily back.

"Okay Mom, thanks for calling to ruin my day, its always great talking to you. Just text me the details of when these guests will be arriving" you quickly clicked the button to end the phone call and rolled onto your back fuming.

"I'm sorry Chibi-chan" kuroo said trying to bring his face back by yours. You put your hand up stopping him from reaching you.

"Not right now pretty boy, I need some air" you pulled his arm from your waist and walked out onto the balcony, shutting the door hard behind you.

You took in a deep breath of the fresh morning air and tried to force the anger out as you breathed out. Things with your family were always so back and forth, you just wished it could be normal. You always tried to be 100% yourself, you didn't hide things or lie, you just straight told them what you thought and what you did. Sometimes you felt like being that honest made for wonderful conversations with your mom, it was like she understood what it was like to be a girl your age. Other times though she would twist that freedom of speech against you, use it to shame you or point out your failures. Your dad was like a lot of dads though, he didn't say much, was distant and really only showed love by buying you the things you wanted. Dropping your head you let the tears flow, you didn't even look up when you heard the door open behind you.

"Are you okay Beautiful?" Daichi asked as he walked up behind you.

"Yes I'm fine, just another day in the life of y/n" you half-heartedly chuckled.

"This is not how I wanted today to go, lets just go back to sleep and start this over. I'll wake you up with kisses and kind words and we will make breakfast together, sound good?" he turned your body towards his and lifted your face by holding your chin.

"That sounds really nice" you said smiling at him. He wiped the tears from your flushed cheeks and tucked your hair behind your ear.

"I think Tanaka and Noya might look at us like we are crazy though" he chuckled "Plus I doubt Kuroo would leave us alone" he said rolling his eyes but smiling.

"I'm sorry about that call with my mom, that must have been weird for you" you apologized.

"It wasn't the most comfortable hearing them sound so familiar with one another, but one day I'll be like that with them also. That or we will just not have them involved in our lives and I'll steal you away to be happy and we will make our own family" he said with a playful shrug.

"I like option number two better at this point, just run off and not tell them where we went. Just live life happily with no regrets or concern of other peoples opinions, sounds like heaven to me" you said smiling at the thought.

"I'd follow you anywhere, just tell me when" he kissed your forehead gently.

"Why do I feel like that's the truth? What about your family?" you asked.

"It is the truth, I know it scares you to hear. I've got to be honest with my feelings though and I am falling for you, which sounds crazy when I think of our current situation, but its true. I might already be in love with you" he said the last part quietly. Your eyes went wide with shock at hearing him say those three precious words. You dropped your eyes from his and twisted your hands together feeling anxious.

"Too soon to say that huh? I had a feeling that would scare you off" his voice sounded upset and a bit scared.

"No I'm glad you told me, I just don't think I deserve to hear them. It's not that I think I'm not worthy of love, I just don't think I'm worthy of YOUR love. What if I'm never ready to be serious with just you, I have moments where I want to be, but if I'm honest I've felt those same things with the others. I sometimes wish you all weren't so amazing, need to have worse taste in men I guess, would make things so much easier. I don't say these things to hurt you, I just worry about hurting you more in the future if I don't make my feelings clear." You said shaking your head.

You had real feelings for Daichi, you thought of him often when alone. His smile made your heart race, his laughter made your body warm, and you knew that being with him would be amazing. He had everything a girl could ask for, he was protective, open minded, kind and gracious. The problem was you had so many others in your life that were just as amazing, each with these same amazing qualities, all willing to give you the world.

"How about you let me decide if you're worthy of my love? Because I honestly think you are more than worthy of it, you are kind and beautiful, playful and naughty, everything I've ever dreamed of. Yes this situation is not ideal, but if it means I get to be with you than its more than I could ever ask for. I'll wait until you decide though, because I'm confident that we are meant to be" he took your hands in his to stop you from twisting them.

"What if I hurt you?" you asked trying to get him to understand your fear.

He brought his lips to yours in a deep kiss, he held you tightly against him. "Then hurt me" he said against your lips, he pressed his back against yours.

"Umm guys, we need to be going if we are going to make it to the bus" Noya said poking his head out.

"Right, sorry!" Daichi said pulling back from you, he took your hand in his and led you back inside.

"I need to find something to wear real fast, sorry I'm slowing everyone down" you said awkwardly scratching the back of your neck.

"I got you an outfit ready, it's in the bathroom" Kuroo said he didn't look at you just sat on the edge of the bed pretending to look at his phone.

"Thank you pretty boy" you said with a smile, you quickly went into the bathroom and changed into the outfit he had laid out.

After changing you stepped out and shot him a glare "You could've picked something with bottoms, this is just a shirt!" you said shaking your head at him.

"It's long enough to be a dress, and I think it looks cool like that. Plus it's my shirt that I left here last time" Kuroo said with a playful shrug as he eyed the outfit.

"I think it looks badass!" Noya said with two thumbs up.

"Okay fine, but if its windy I'm going to murder all of you" you laughed and slipped on your shoes.

Everyone quickly left the house and headed for the school to meet the rest of the team. Ukai was standing by the door of the bus looking annoyed as you approached.

"Its about damn time!" he yelled.

"Sorry Coach" Noya and Tanaka said in unison rushing onto the bus, Daichi followed after them after a quick apology.

"Only team members on the bus" Ukai said as you and Kuroo stepped up.

"Really? I've already had a bad day and your going to make us walk all the way back to my house?" you said raising an eyebrow at him playfully.

"Fine whatever just get on the dam bus" he said grumpily.

"Thank you Coach" you said, he grunted unhappily in response. "Sorry, thank you Keishin" you said sweetly.

"Yea thanks Keishin" Kuroo said stepping onto the bus after you, not realizing the meaning of you saying it which made you laugh.

"Its Mr Ukai to you young man, now shutup and find a seat" Ukai yelled.

"Tsukki!!!!" Kuroo called out with a smile as he spotted the grumpy looking blonde.

"Why are you here?" Tsukki asked annoyed.

"Don't act like your not happy to see me" Kuroo said plopping down into the seat next to him.

"Excuse you, that's Shortcake's spot" Tsukki said rudely and turned to look out the window.

"She can sit in my lap, huh Chibi-chan?" he said patting his lap.

"No she cant, (l/n) get up here by me" Ukai grumpily yelled out. Takeda was driving this time so Ukai sat in the seat right behind him alone.

"Sorry guys, seems I'm being summoned" you gave a goofy bow and walked back to the front of the bus sitting next to Ukai.

You sat down in the seat beside him, the shirt riding up real far on your thighs. You tried adjusting it slightly but it just wasn't long enough to cover anything.

"Wake up too late to put on pants" Ukai scolded, his cheeks were red and he didn't look at you as he slipped his jacket off. He placed it in your lap, covering your exposed thighs.

"Sorry, I had teenage boys pick out my outfit today" you laughed as you smoothed out the jacket in your lap.
