I decided to spend time at Luca's house.
Mainly because she had thought she upset me in some way and attempted to mend our friendship when, in actuality, nothing was wrong to begin with.
I guess I've been so caught up with many different things, I forgot to call or message her these past few days.
Because I felt responsible and guilty for making her ever think as such, I went over to spend the weekend with her.
Now arriving on the scene of her house was a whole new thing for me-- well, not really. But it was a first for the mood to be so on edge.
When Luca let me in, we walked the unusually quiet hallways. Normally, it'd be loud and cheerful- the house would feel warm and welcoming too... but because of everything that has happen, everything feels so abnormal.
Even Luca's father, who'd usually be in all smiles and delight, didn't even smile or say hello to me. He just stared and gave a little nod as we walked past the living room.
Upon getting and entering Luca's room, I saw Aiden's little sister; Lily, who was sat on Luca's bed. She wore a slightly oversized bee hoodie and had a medium scaled plush of Dream with her. Seemingly eating pocky, she angles her head to stare at us coming in.
I eyed the black haired girl curiously for a moment before turning my sight back onto Luca.
"...are you trying to make her a mcyt fan as well?" I asked.
"Hmm... never thought of it until now..." Luca's eyes widen, taking in the idea, "I mean- it'd be a good idea!"
Did she just realize the opportunity now? She's the one who gave Lily that hoodie in the first place. There's no way she didn't just realize it now...
The opportunity was literally right in front of her.
Luca then waves to the younger girl.
"Hi Lily! I'm back and I have my friend with me.", she says to her, gesturing to me.
Lily just stares at me, not saying a word. This made me a little uncomfortable, so I was the first one to break our eye contact.
Luca hums, thinking for a moment. Soon after, she clasps her own hands and starts smiling.
"Okay!, how about I go get us some snacks?" Luca suggests to us, turning away and walking back to the door, "Y/N, entertain Lily!"
I wasn't able to reply because she quickly left the room, so I was left with Lily.
'Ah- fuck. I'm not good with kids...'
I tried thinking about conversation starters, but my mind was completely blank.
The only thing I thought up was the whole 'you like jazz?' thing from the bee movie-- and I knew I was definitely not going to say that to a kid.
Though, I wasn't able to think any further when I heard the crunching of pocky.
I turned my sights to see Lily nibbling onto some chocolate pocky sticks while she had a few small boxes-- which was being hidden by the Dream plush.
"...You were at the store that night." Lily says quietly.
Her sudden words surprised me a little, I honestly starting to think she was a mute or something... But, I guess she did know how to speak.
I nodded my head, confirming her remark.
"You and Miss Luca were brother's friends..." She mutters out, "It's sad he's gone.... I think"
I raised an eyebrow.
"You think?"
She nods.
"Yeah. I think..."
"...why do you think you miss him?" I questioned her.
Lily pauses for a moment, thinking about her response. But in the end, she ends up shrugging her shoulders.
"I don't know..." She replies, "...Brother went to jail, right?"
"Luca told you?"
"No" She said, "He told me before I got here"
I wanted to be more surprised about this, but I was only surprised a little by the news.
It's not even the fact that I'm surprised about him telling her, I was surprised because she didn't seem to care even in the slightest.
She seemed pretty blank and expressionless. She almost reminded me of one of those porcelain dolls. Pretty, but lifeless.
But from her upbringing, it's at least a little understandable to act like that.
"Brother wasn't the best he could be lately... But he tried to make people he cared about happy in his own ways..." Lily murmured, "...even if it meant hurting good people"
I wonder what this girls logic is?
She seems a little too mature for someone her age. She's talking about the situation so calmly that I really do wonder what happened in her life to change her into someone like this?
With another bite, she finishes her pocky and starts to open up another box.
"..When brother used to pick me up from school, I always saw you not too far away." She went on to tell me.
I gave her a quizzed glance.
"You did?"
She only proceeded to nod.
"I kept asking about you, and he kept telling me that you were one of his most bestest friends in the whole world"
pft--
"Well-- he was dreaming that part." I felt my mind go blank once again, "I wasn't that close with him"
Lily's mouth flat lined.
"But- he told me all about how you saved him from some bad people..."
"...Okay, I did do that--"
"Can you tell me about that day?"
"Hmm?"
"I always wanted to hear both sides of the story..." Lily tells me, taking a bite out of another stick of pocky, "It sounded so magical when I heard it from my brothers point of view... But I was curious about your point of view too..."
"...uhhhmm"
Her request wasn't something I'd expected.
This little girl is just full of surprises...
But- magical? What part of that stupid situation was magical?
I literally beat up some guys--
"Come on, Y/N. You should tell her." Luca's voice was suddenly heard.
I turned around and saw Luca finally back into the room, with her carrying a full basket of junk food in her arms.
Luca stared at me expectantly, hoping I'd tell the story.
"...Isn't the story a little too-- erm... it's just not really a story for children..." I said.
Which was true. There were some things during that time I wasn't proud of doing. Though no blood was spilt on my part, I did some pretty stupid and bad things.
"It couldn't be that gruesome, right?" Luca says, walking past me and placing the basket of goodies down onto the bed, "I haven't heard the story myself, but I feel like we both can handle it..!"
I chuckled, rolling my eyes at her words.
"...Another time. Another time."
"Y/N...!" Luca and Lily both say in unison.
The two stared at me, using their puppy dog eyes as a way of guilting me.
...and it was working. Them doing this is making it harder to say no to them.

Not only is one of my good friends pleading with me, but a stupidly cute child. The sibling of my enemy-- mind you.
I let out an annoyed sigh.
"...okay- fine." I grumble, "...but you two better not complain to me about how boring it is"
The two got comfortable in their respected seats, as I continued to stand. I start thinking back to that day, as I begin to tell my side of the story.
.
.
.
"Hit him harder..!"
"Haha! Alright, alrighhhtt...!!"
The voices... they were echoing..
"Oh shit..! I think you just drew blood!"
"Well, don't stop!! Keep going!"
With hands in my pockets, in the dead middle of winter, I continued to walk down the empty streets.
The scattering of leaves across the paths flew further down the streets. The wind carried them down, leading me in the direction of my home.
Though I took my time getting home. I wasn't really in any rush to get home.
I got into a bit of an argument with mother, so I left home and walked around for the rest of the afternoon.
The fight itself wasn't anything to get riled up at. She and I just had a disagreement with some methods of doing something, she ended up getting so mad to the point where she didn't want to see me for the rest of the day-- which lead me leaving home for a bit.
I just took a walk around town, going to places I've been to-- and places I haven't seen before.
Luckily I was able to find myself back into streets I was familiar with-- and in time too. It was getting late and as much as I wanted to stay away from home, it was a whole lot better and safer than staying out here for the night.
In the distance, I continued to hear menacing laughter from a group of males. The voices echoed, and I seemed to be the only one hearing them.
I was the only other person walking down the streets. People in this part of the neighborhood usually are either at work, or at a house party on the other side of town.
So, occasional muggings do happen. It is pretty much the norm. That's why I come prepared whenever I walk down these streets when coming home.
When walking past one housing district, there was an alleyway between two houses. The echoing voices grew louder-- so the problem was coming from there.
I slowed down and ended up putting myself in a bit of a halt. My curiosity was peeking, and I decided to see what was happening in the alleyway.
That is when I saw a group of men, three at the most, surrounding and forcefully kicking and beating another guy into the ground.
The guys surrounding the guy on the ground look to be around 15 or 16 at the very least. While the guy on the ground, though I couldn't see him properly, I was able to identify him being around my age souly because of his height, weight and current actions.
The boy on the floor was getting brutally stomped on. To the point where blood was lightly painting the ground...
The guy beating him took a bit of a break, the boy of the ground trying his best to stand up... but seemed too weak to move properly.
"Oh wow... Look at him. The guy's still trying to get up" One of the guys said with a laugh, then he proceeds to kick the guy back down to the floor. The boy with black hair topples down and crashes to the floor once more, body trembling, "FUCKING STAY DOWN!"
I kept watching the scene unfold before me, not being able to take my eyes off the sight.
The group of guys kept beating the boy, not caring at all in the world about what they're doing. The fact that the boy didn't shout, scream or cry while this was happening made it all the more interesting to me.
Now, I could've just left and let this happen. But I didn't want to go through a possible murder in the area. As much as I didn't care about the sight in front of me, I decided to intervene.
Plus... this gives me a way and an excuse to practice--- as well as to blow off my remaining bits of steam from the confrontation with mother earlier today.
I walked deeper into the alley way.
"..Hey!! Fuck off you lot, he's with me." I called out to the group of men.
At my voice, all the guys turned back to stare at me with a blank slate.
One of them stared at me and started to grimace.
"....and what the fuck are you suppose to be?"
"Maybe it's his girlfriend" Another one suggests, getting a better look at me, "...You're actually pretty cute, how old do you think she is?"
"Hey, how about you pay as compensation for your little boyfriends mistakes?" The third one suggests to me.
I didn't pay any mind to their comments, only growing closer to them.
By the time I got up to them, I turned to the nearest one and had a smirk appear on my face.
Staring up at the guy, I grabbed the guys wrist... waited.... then I twisted it back, kneeing him in the dick as hard as I wanted to.
The guy falls over and onto the ground, very much in pain with what I did.
"WHA- WHAT THE--"
I turned around to eye the other two, seeing that they were starting to get a little intimidated.
Without another word, I allowed myself to get lost in my actions... and as the ending result, I came back to consciousness with my handy pocket knife held at one of the guy's throats.
I eyed my surroundings, seeing that the other two had swollen faces, bruises and other marks like scratches.
The one I had captive seemed to be sweating bullets.
The guy raised his hand to try and grab my arm.
"Fuckin' bitch--!"
But, I held the knife closer to his neck.
"...Want me to carve those words into you?" I asked him, calmly.
The guy didn't dare to move after I said that.
And with that, I let go of him, kicking the guy over to where his friends are at the other side of the alleyway.
"Now, this is the part where you run." I tell them, "...though if you're willing to go for another round, go right ahead~"
Though sadly, they didn't want to stay. They ran away as soon as I finished saying what I said.
My enjoyment slowly hindered, turning back into disappointment and boredom.
They were too scared to even try and properly fight a girl...
"...fucking pussies" I murmured out.
With a sigh escaping my lips, I decided to start heading out to go home.
"H-hey! Wait--"
In one swift motion, I turned myself around and grabbed the nearing hand that was about to touch me. I raised the blade and stared intently at who was behind me.
It was the guy who was getting beat up... and I was able to see him a bit more clearly.
Despite the scratches, cuts and bruises on him... as well as the blood... he seemed- at least.. a bit presentable.
Somehow, even with a blade in front of the guy.. he didn't flinch. Nor did he seem scared of me.
"...who are you?" He questions me.
"..Nobody important" I replied, letting go of him and retracting my blade. I turned around from him, "Now, you should get back home. Suns going down..."
"But-- what about you?" The boy asks.
"Dude, I literally just saved your ass. I'll be fine." I told him, "Seriously, go home."
And with that, I walked off before he could have the chance to say another word.
Though, the entire time-- he didn't leave me alone.
He walked behind me, keeping his distance, but still being close enough to be in my sights.
By the time I got home, I came to realize he followed me all the way home.
Now, I was seriously starting to get annoyed. I turned to face him, glaring at him.
"...Okay, seriously- what the fuck are you still doing following me? I know you don't live around here."
He jumps, as if the first time all day.
"U-uhm... yeah... you got me." He muttered, "...I just wanted to make sure you were okay getting home..."
The fuck?
"Even though you're tough, you're still a girl..." The mystery dude reasons.
"Like I give a damn about your worries about me." I groaned, "Seriously, go home or I'm calling the cops."
Upon hearing the seriousness in my tone, he starts to panic, backing away from me and nodding profusely.
"O- okay! okay!"
I enter through the gates of my place, walking further into the property...
"-And, uhmm..!" I heard his annoying voice again which made me stop. I turned around to see him staring at me, "I'm-- I'm really thankful to you! Seriously, thank you!"
After saying that... he ran away.
I just watched as he felt. Nothing really coming to mind until he felt my sights.
'...what a fucking moron'
And that's when I headed back inside the house.
"After that day, he would come by every weekday to visit me-- I soon realized we were in the same school... in the same class.... And shit went from there..." I summed things up quickly.
"..You shouldn't swear so much in front of Lily, Y/N...." Luca stared at me, shaking her head disapprovingly.
"I don't mind it... I think..." Lily assures Luca, "Brother, mum and dad say bad words all the time."
'oh god- that's--'
"Erm- Hey, Lily!" Luca suddenly says excitedly, looking at Lily, "Do you wanna watch some minecraft streamers with me and Y/N?"
Lily tilts her head at Luca for a moment.
"Oh... sure"
This is when Luca stands up, pushing the goody basket to Lily to let her grab whatever as she heads over to a pretty large scaled TV that was in her room.
She extends her hand, reaching to turn it on manually before crouching down to a laptop below the walled-in TV.
Soon after doing this, the TV displays the laptop's screen-- epic screen capture through an HDMI cord.
"Okay... let's see who's live right now..." Luca murmurs, searching up Twitch and clicking onto the website, "...Ponk and Punz are live right now... Fundy, Niki, Jack... Ayy! Quackity is live right now..!"
Suddenly, I saw another notification pop up to show that another person just went live on twitch.
"wait- Dream just went live" I pointed out.
"Oh?? What's he doing? Another speed run?" Luca seemed to get a bit excited, checking the notification to see what he was doing, "...looks like he's just addressing some internet drama"
"Oof..." was all I let out.
"But- heyy! Quackity is doing lore..!" She tells us.
"Uhmm..." Lily manages to raise her voice, "Can- can we watch Dream..?"
Both me and Luca seemed a little surprised at this.
"...You don't want to watch lore?" Luca questions Lily, her voice sounding like it was on the verg of crying.
"I heard these group of boys in my class talk about some green guy called Dream." Lily tells us, grabbing and holding the Dream blob plushie in her arms.
She then stares at Luca.
"Miss Luca... I want to watch Dream..."
At this, Luca's heart seemed to melt and she started to smile.
"O- oh... Okay.... I guess we can watch Dream rant about drama..."
'She's so easily persuaded'
Now that I think about it, I find it quite funny that Lily calls me Y/N while she refers to Luca as Miss Luca.
"Lily, are you sure you want to watch something like this?... Sometimes these discussions get hard to understand" Luca asks Lily once more.
"I don't mind... I like stuff like that anyways..." Lily confirms.
'To think that Lily was indeed more mature than Luca...'
And with that, Luca puts on Dream's stream for us-- showing the lot of us that she was subbed to the guy using prime. So, no ads for us!
She fullscreens the stream and heads back to the bed to take a seat and watch.
I decided to sit down on the floor, since how the only other chair in Luca's room would get in the way of peoples visions if I sat there...
Surprisingly for a stream that was meant to be pretty serious, Dream somehow managed to make things funny.
Me and Luca ended up laughing quite a lot through out the whole thing... Lily too at times, but her laughs weren't as loud as ours.
Soon enough, the stream was nearing it's end... And I didn't really remember a single thing about what was said in the video. I don't pay attention to internet drama to that much of an extent.
"Alright, before I end the stream- I'm doing to hang out for a bit." Dream tells his viewers, "So, what's up everyone? What do you all want to talk about?"

A World Forgotten
***This story will contain lite-litrpg elements, mainly character pages and a town page. There will also be settlement building and adventuring, missteps and achievements. But one thing it definitely won’t have is a harem. Nor will it have an overpowered MC. Contains mild cursing.*** ***feel free to critique my writing and offer input. This is my first venture into writing. I've always enjoyed litrpg/gamelit books. I feel like I write how I talk, so it may be a little different. You won't hurt my feelings if you see something wrong or out of place! *** ***What follows is a condensed part of chapter 1. Enjoy!*** Drew Cooper is thrust into a new, unfamiliar world. Waking up in his sweats and t-shirt near what seems to be a forgotten path through some woods, he struggles coming to terms that he's no longer in his apartment. As he tries to cope with his new reality, he hears a horse coming down the path. He hides behind a nearby tree dreading what may happen next. As the horse approaches, he sees a man walking next to it. The horse is burdened with packs and gear. When the man nears, Drew nearly panics. He has a large sword strapped to his waist, obviously a fighter. He continues to hide as the man slowly passes only for the man to stop a dozen meters past his hiding spot. "You may as well come out, ya know. You weren't as well hidden as you thought," the man stated matter-of-factly, letting the horse’s reins go and putting his hand on the hilt of his sword. Slowly and scared for his life, Drew raised up and walked from behind the tree. "I-I'm sorry. I wasn't planning on attacking you. I-I don't know where I am. I heard your horse and hid. I didn't know what you'd do if you saw me. I'm sorry," he nervously blurted out. A minute passed. Then two. The man seemed interested with Drew and stepped closer, eyes squinting as if trying to see something. "What's that on your shirt? Is that. What is that? Is that, Pac-man?" The man was visibly shaken while pointing at me. Looking down at his t-shirt nervously, "Yea. Yea. I woke up here a few hours ago I think. 3 maybe 4 hours. I’ve just been sitting here. Where am I? What's going on?" Drew asked. "That's not important right now," the man replied. " What's important is where you're from. What year is it?" "What year? April something 2020. Why? What's going on?" Drew continued now worried. The man was taken aback. After a few moments, he seemed to calm himself some. The man sighed and looked at Drew in earnest. "Well, I've got good news and bad news for ya. Bad news is you're not on Earth anymore. Good news is you happened to run into me and not someone else. You’re either really lucky, or it’s fate we met in these woods, and I don’t believe in luck." The man continued to walk towards Drew while talking and put out his hand. "I'm John Mitchell from St. Louis or thereabouts. You’ve got nothing to be scared of by me. Walk with me and let’s talk."
