《SUMMER CAMP || NAMJIN✔️》₂₇

The room is silent for a moment and I feel myself sweating nervously.
Finally, my father speaks. "It was just a matter of time, I've been waiting for this." My father says and my eyebrows raise.
"Huh?" I ask. My mother smiles, walking over to me and taking my face in her hands.
"We always had a feeling this day would come. We've been waiting for this so we could tell you how much we love and accept you, no matter what!" My mother says as she pulls me into yet another bone crushing hug.
"Wait, you guys always knew? How? I didn't even know." I say.
"You've always liked different things ever since you were young, Jin. I've never heard you mention wanting a girlfriend or anything like that. We just knew, even if you didn't."
I glanced over at Namjoon who was smiling at me, the look on his face a happy one.
"So then you don't care that I'm gay?" I ask and my father shakes his head.
"Of course not. We love you now matter what." My dad says and I feel myself about to cry.
I had been so afraid of my parents rejecting me after I told them but they didn't.
Instead, they were happy. They accepted me as I was, for the real me.
"Thank you." I say and my parents both hug me, making sure I knew just how sincere their words were.
When they pull back they look at Namjoon and smile.
"Welcome to the family, Namjoon."
After a while of hanging out at Jin's house we headed back to school.
Jin and I had classes tomorrow, sad, I know.
When we got back it was around 3 in the afternoon so we definitely had time to meet up with everyone.

I was certain Tae and Jimin would want to know how it went with our parents.
Not to mention I wanted to tell everyone Jin and I were in love. I was proud of it after all.
"Should we go meet with the guys?" Jin asked once we got our stuff unpacked.
"Yeah, lets go." I smile as I lean over and kiss his cheek before heading out.
On the way there I saw a couple of people looking our way and even a couple guys looking at Jin.
I bit the inside of my cheek as I reached out and grabbed Jin's hand, holding it in mine.
Jin turned his head, looking taken back. Technically, I hadn't come out at school so this was pretty much throwing myself out of the closet.
I didn't mind though. I wanted people to know I was with Jin. I love him and I want to show him that.
When I didn't say anything, Jin smiled and leaned into my side. I smiled and continued on.
As we turned the corner I was greeted with a loud, "Joonie!" Then Jimin came hurdling towards me.
"Hey." I smile as I hug him back, my hand getting yanked away from Jin's in the process.
"I missed you." Jimin whines as he clings to me. I laugh as I pat his head, looking behind him to see everyone else.
"Welcome back you two." Yoongi says, smiling as he motions us over.
When Jimin releases me I move over and sit down beside Jin.
"So how was it?" Hoseok asks, smiling between the two of us.
"It was great." I say, feeling my smile spread out from ear to ear, showing just how happy I was.
"What happened? You guys seem happier." Jungkook says, smiling as if he already knew.

I looked over at Jin who too looked at me and smiled widely.
"I'm in love Jin." I say, my face hurting from my smiling so much.
"I knew it." Jimin says happily and Tae smiles widely from beside him.
"Congrats. I'm glad to see you guys so happy." Yoongi says and I smile at my best friend.
I was so glad everyone supported us because I really love them and I really love Jin too.
As long as I have all of them, I know I'll always be happy, no matter what.

The Last Science [SE]
[SE has the same content as the original story, split into smaller chunks for easier reading. This story is on a temporary hiatus due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. I work in healthcare and unfortunately no longer have the freetime to continue posting on a regular basis. As soon as our workload decreases, I will return. Thanks for reading! 💙] No one ever knows the whole story. Deep in the forests of the Pacific Northwest, the fading town of Rallsburg stumbles upon an amazing discovery—magic itself. Faced with potentially world-shattering power, the people of Rallsburg keep the secret for themselves. Led by Rachel DuValle, a perpetually underestimated college student with grand ambitions, they seek to found a new society. The world beyond suspects nothing, but magic cannot stay hidden forever. A train arrives in Rallsburg carrying Alden Bensen, a directionless high school graduate. To him, magic could represent meaning for his life, an explanation for his empty existence. This potent force offers anyone the power to change humanity forever—or send it cascading into swift and total annihilation. The Last Science is an ongoing science-fiction / low-fantasy web novel series, focused on the modern world with a twist. New societies bud and grow, but the people who make them up are imperfect and flawed. The story includes elements of mystery, action, crime, interpersonal drama, relationships, philosophy, sociology, politics, and much more, all centered on the perspective characters driving the tale. This is the "Scraps Edition" of the story, where the chapters have been split up into bite-size chunks (roughly 1500-3000 words), for your convenience. The prose has been edited from its original form, with some improvements, but there are no content differences from the original. New chapters will be posted throughout each week starting on Friday and appearing on multiple days thereafter, depending on the length of the chapter. Content Warning (by request): This series delves into some topics and situations which may be upsetting for some readers. In American rating parlance, the narrative would be rated PG-13 (except for language), but some have noted the story can get pretty dark on occasion. Please use your best judgment, and don't be afraid to take breaks and come back later. I'll still be here! [Discord] - come hang out and chat! This world... is being threatened. Enter Kang Yilan, a seventeen-year-old convict sentenced to life, whiling away her days mining ores in the southern mountains when she happens upon a fateful encounter. Read as she embarks on a journey that will change her life, and the lives of millions of others, forever. NaNoWriMo challenge :D and [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Some magic elements are borrowed from Savage Divinity and a handful of other good wuxia/xianxia stories, but the story itself is pretty original if I do say so myself. If you feel bothered by my borrowing elements from other magic systems, a) I'm not making money off of this... yet, and b) almost all Xianxia copy each other. This one, at least, has direction where other xianxia don't.
