«i'll be your boyfriend»

"Why are you going to another man's house?"

To be honest, I didn't actually expect Seojun to get angry. But here he was, upset I was going to study with Suho. At his house.

I shrugged him off, "we're just going to study," glaring at him, "you're being dramatic."

Seojun lifted his eyebrows as he walked closer to me, "do you think I want my girlfriend alone at another's man's house?" this time he raised his voice high enough for his friends to hear.

"Who's house?" One of them asked.

The rest of them huddled around us two and stared at Seojun. He motioned his head over to Suho, who was quietly completing his classwork. They all gasped, letting out a few ooo's with some shaking heads, and looked at me.

"Does Suho not know any boundaries?" One of them shouted. The whole classroom went silent and my heart began thumping once I noticed they were all staring at us.

I played with my fingers nervously as Suho stopped what he was doing and focused his attention on Seojun and his friends.

"Hey Suho," another called out, ultimately deciding to provoke him, "why are you disrespecting Seojun?"

Suho was bewildered, "what are you talking about?"

I began to get very anxious as Seojun stomped to Suho's desk, standing over him as he angrily pointed a finger at the unbothered boy, "you asked my girlfriend to come over to your house?"

Suho answered nonchalantly, "to study."

Seojun teased him, "you know that's not why you invited her over," he chuckled as he looked away in annoyance, "are you trying to make me mad?"

Suho tilted his head, eyes glaring, "you shouldn't be getting this jealous over Yeeun studying with me," he spoke in a low voice.

I got closer to the both of them and tried pulling Seojun away, but he stood his ground and continued to bicker with Suho. Both boys began getting noticeably angrier with each other and neither one of their friends were intervening.

"Seojun stop it," I murmured. He looked at me before turning his attention back to Suho, arguing with each other once again.

"You barely pay attention to her so why are you acting like you care now?" Suho jeered at him.

Seojun's eyes widened after his little comment, he got in Suho's face and spoke in a menacing tone, "mind your business you little shit."

"That's enough," Mr. Han got in between both of the boys after finally deciding to speak up. They were too difficult to separate as they continued to give each other furious looks, "please," Mr. Han begged, "sit down."

"They should be more angry at Yeeun since she's the one playing around with the both of them," a voice ridiculed me which led to multiple students giggling and whispering amongst themselves.

"No she's not," Suho quickly came to my defense, "you're so miserable Sohye," he shut her antics down. She refused to make any eye contact after that and stayed completely silent.

Surprisingly, Sohye's nasty remark didn't anger me, but instead it was all directed to Seojun. I was fuming as I realized his argument was just for show. There was absolutely no reason for him to be this bothered over some study session.

I turned my attention to Seojun, "you really need to learn to shut your mouth," I spat at him before walking out of the classroom.

My feet began pacing faster once my ears heard footsteps speeding up from behind me. I quickly began heading over the nearest restroom but was pulled back by my wrist.

"Why are you mad at me?" Seojun had a concerned look on his face, "what'd I do?"

My eyes widened in disbelief, "are you kidding me?" I chuckled at his confusion and victim mentality, "you started an argument and had people see me as some sort of whore!"

He scrunched his eyebrows together, "do you not realize how bad it's going to look on you if people find out you went over to his house," Seojun warned me, "everybody knows Suho and I don't get along so why would my 'girlfriend' go to his house?"

I looked at him blankly, "people have been insulting me since this joke started," my voice spoke sternly, "I don't like this attention on me."

"Then ignore them," he told me, "Yeeun you're acting like they're going to beat you up," he seemed to be fed up with my complaints as Seojun spat those words out of frustration.

I stared at him with the feeling of irritation as tears welled up in my eyes, "I really am tired of you Seojun," my voice trembled, "you only care about yourself."

Seojun looked down, placing his hands in his pockets with a deep sigh, "you know I really thought you were my friend."

"Friends don't put each other into uncomfortable situations," I told him instantly.

He nodded, appearing to understand with some guilt on his face. Without anything else to say, he turned around to return back to the classroom.

We ignored each other the entire day. I focused on my class work meanwhile he was too busy fooling around with his friends. He immediately left with Jukyung once it was time to be dismissed, which sort of pissed me off.

On the other hand, I left with Suho. Our way to his house was pretty awkward, obviously because of the little stunt Seojun pulled earlier. I tried making conversation but he only responded with a "hm," "oh," "okay."

He served me a cup of water while we both sat together at the kitchen table. Suho stayed completely silent and I would peak at him numerous of times as I looked over my notes.

"I really hate that mysterious persona of yours," I muttered to him.

He looked up, confused, "what do you mean?"

"You're so cold to everyone," I told him, "you refuse to talk and just keep to yourself. I'm going to be honest I thought we would become friends because we're both quiet," my lips pouted as I thought back to the times he was unnecessarily rude to me, "but you would always ignore me."

Suho looked at me with a guilty expression, "I'm sorry," but then he tilted his head as his eyes squinted, "you never even bothered talking to me though," he continued, "only when we were partnered up together."

I laughed awkwardly, "oh-uhh," rubbing my hands together, "maybe because I thought you hated me or something."

He chuckled and dropped his pencil, giving me a soft smile, "I treated you so coldly because I didn't want to start any problems with Seojun."

I rolled my eyes at the mention of his name, "I can't stand Seojun sometimes," my fingers began writing on my notebook aggressively, "he really doesn't seem to even think about how I feel."

"Then leave him," he said straightforwardly.

I was dazed by how casually he said that. My eyes looked away from Suho and I took a deep gulp, "why would I?"

Suho sighed, "personally I think Seojun doesn't deserve you," his eyes were locked onto mines, "I used to be friends with him. He's an asshole."

"He's nice to me though," I spoke to him honestly, but I sounded like I was trying to convince myself that Seojun really did care for me.

"It doesn't sound like you believe what you're saying," Suho grabbed my glass of water and gently threw it in the sink. He walked to where I was and leaned close to me, "it's sad to see a girl stay with a guy who's beneath her."

I sprung up on my feet and gently shoved Suho away from me, "I still don't understand why it bothers you so much that I'm with Seojun," scowling at him, "what happens between us is none of your concern."

Suho wasn't bothered by my annoyance, he responded to me calmly like always, "everyone around you can see he doesn't like you. You're just wasting your time."

He stared at me with a blank face, "you should be going after someone who actually does feel the same way."

I hurriedly shoved all my supplies into my book bag, avoiding any eye contact with him, "I'm going home," I told Suho with my back facing him.

I escorted myself away from the kitchen but then Suho appeared in front of me, completely blocking the front door. He stared at me for a few seconds before looking down anxiously, "Yeeun," Suho said faintly.

"You're too pretty and smart for him," he blurted out, "Seojun's an idiot for not focusing on what's in front of him," he glanced back up at me, the anxiousness suddenly leaving his face.

"But I'm not."
