«the two of us go round and round in the air»

"Seojun!"
Both Seojun and I spun around to the direction of the voice that was yelling out for him. We saw a group of boys speeding towards us with excitement plastered on their faces.
One of them jumped on Seojun, causing him to release me from his grip. Another friend shook my shoulders while the rest were slapping Seojun's chest.
"Why didn't you tell us?" One of them whined.
Seojun pushed them away, "maybe because you're hitting me!"
He grabbed my arm and pulled me away from them, "don't touch my ," Seojun said loudly.
He then began dragging me once again and he locked his fingers with mine. I turned to look at him and my eyes sparkled in awe. My cheeks turned baby pink once his gaze met mines.
"You're making this relationship look awkward," he muttered to me, "act loving or something."
I raised my eyebrows and laughed, "no."
Suddenly I was pulled by my hand and softly slammed onto the wall. Seojun leaned close to me with his hand pinned on the wall.
"What do I have to do to make you treat me like a boyfriend?" he whispered.
My lips slightly quivered as his hot breath hit my face. I turned my head to the side and placed my hand on his chest to move him away from me.
"You can start by backing up," I told him.
Seojun, however, grabbed hold of my wrist and tugged me towards him. His eyes looked down at me meanwhile mines flickered up to him.
He sucked his lips in, "you're pissing me off," Seojun muttered to me.
Seojun released my hand and sighed, "why can't you try acting cute to me?" he suddenly stood up straight and raised the pitch of his voice, "oh my Seojun you're so handsome!" then he went back to speaking normally, "try doing that."

I only stared at him, "no you're crazy," and took off from our conversation.
"You need to make it look convincible," he whispered in my ear once he finally caught up to me. He then wrapped his arms around my waist and my body felt tingly. I walked with him awkwardly as I tried my best to contain the butterflies in my stomach.
"Hey Yeeun," Sohye cut us off from continuing our walk and proceeded to greet me, "she never told me you two were dating," she gave him an innocent look.
Seojun pushed his eyebrows together, "you guys aren't even frien-" I yanked him away from her and walked right past her, "we have to go," I waved goodbye to her.
Seojun turned to look at her before focusing back on me, "you should've let me continue what I was saying," I shook my head, "no it's better to ignore her."
Seojun gave me a wide grin and looked down at our arms. I was holding onto his arm without realizing. He laughed at me, "now this looks believable," turning his head to whatever was in front of him, "sit next to me at lunch," he demanded.
I just nodded my head, "sure," my arms tightened its grip as we walked closer and closer to our homeroom. Seojun noticed my discomfort and slowed down his pace. He turned his entire body to face me, "we sit next to each other you don't have to worry about anything," Seojun assured me before pulling me inside the classroom.
I hurried to my seat and avoided eye contact with everybody. I sat down and took a deep breath before laying my head onto my desk. A hand patted my back causing me to look up and there he was.

Seojun looking at me with a huge smile on his face, "forgot to give you this," he placed a carton of strawberry milk on my desk before walking away to his group of friends.
I watched him play around with them as I stayed sat in my seat by myself. Him and I are completely different people. It's laughable that our classmates actually believe we're together.
"Hi Yeeun," Jukyung smiled as she walked past me. She has such a beautiful smile. Her sweet voice can make anyone fall to their knees. I'm not surprised both Suho and Seojun are obsessed with her.
"Hi," I mumbled back to her.
My eyes moved to where Seojun was at and I noticed he was staring straight ahead. I turned to where he was looking and it was Jukyung he couldn't keep his eyes off. He seemed distracted by her beauty even though his friends attempted talking to him.
Seojun then turned his attention to me but I quickly laid my head on my desk again. I heard footsteps coming near me and abruptly pause.
"Yeeun," Seojun softly spoke, "are you feeling well?"
I raised my head up to see him crouching down with his chin placed on my desk. He gave a tiny grin as he poked my forehead. "you're suppose to be talking to me."
I moved his hands away, "I don't feel like it."
Seojun grabbed my wrist and pulled me close, our noses nearly touching. He laughed before speaking in a low voice. "you suck at this."
Instead of moving away, I let him hold onto my wrist tightly. My eyes were fixated to his and I could feel my heart thumping rapidly. In my mind all I imagined were tiny red hearts floating around us.
After realizing where my mind was wandering to, I woke back up to reality and pulled my wrist away from his grip, "stop acting like that," I said under my breath.
"Wow Seojun!" His friends popped up from behind him and they began aggressively shaking him. Seojun seemed annoyed but held it all in as they patted his head and back roughly.
One of them crossed their arms, "listen to your girlfriend," they all agreed and began laughing at Seojun loudly.
I decided to join in on the fun because why not. He wants me to be more talkative, no?
I let my cheek rest on the palm of my hand and glanced at his friends, "Seojun is an asshole to me sometimes," I whined to them.
Seojun widened his eyes in disbelief, "are you kidd-" before he can finish what he was saying he got cut off by slaps.
"Why are you like that?" They all jokingly shouted at him. Seojun shot me a death stare but I responded with a shrug.
However, my mood quickly changed once I grasped onto the fact that this isn't real. When two people break up, their friends take sides. Once Seojun and I end this joke of a relationship, his friends will avoid me. Obviously. And I don't want that.
I look at Seojun once more and wonder if this is how he acts when he's in a relationship. A part of me enjoys the attention I've been getting from him. Maybe that's another reason I don't want this joke to end.
And just like that I knew I made a huge mistake.

Petrichor: Act One
Cody is adrift. Emily is alone. Sara is spiraling into darkness. Andrew is out of control. Chris is losing his mind. Grace makes the mistake of being friends with all of them. The friendship these six share will forever shape who they are. In the town of Darkwood, Washington they are forced into the harsh reality of the world catching up to them. When their involvement in their friend's suicide catches up to them, how will they juggle their guilt, issues, and crumbling friendships that fall before them? This is a redux of Petrichor. I was unsatisfied with how the story went. I rushed things and left things to happen off-screen a lot. So I'm rewriting it, this time dividing the acts into their separate books to allow the characters to properly develop. The story will mostly stay the same but I'll fix all the plot holes I found and change some character motivations here or there.
