«i close my eyes again and try to sleep»

"You know what?" Seojun asked me.

"What?" I responded without turning to look at him.

The tingles won't leave my stomach. I can still feel his touch on my waist. The way his hands had a tight grip on my body and the feeling of his breath because of how close he pulled me.

Stop it Yeeun

He tapped his lips with his finger, humming a bit before speaking, "let's finish this project," Seojun pointed to a building on our left, "there's a cafe here."

"I tho-" before I could finish my sentence Seojun pulled me to the cafe.

His grip was tight on my wrist. I didn't even bother to argue with him and just let him pull me to wherever.

Seojun opened the door, however unlike what happened at the convenience store he let the door slam on my face.

"Seojun!" I called out.

He spun around and laughed. Seojun opened the door to let me in and sat down at a table near the window afterwards.

I sighed, "what happened to being nice?" I asked while walking to where he was sat.

Seojun shrugged, "I can't be generous all the time."

Looking at him made me think of the question he asked me earlier. Is he in love with Jukyung? He's not good at hiding his feelings. I could tell from far away he truly cares about her.

"Remember what you asked me earlier?" Seojun glanced at me and furrowed his eyebrows after my question, "what did I say?"

I hesitated for a bit before speaking, "um, about somebody not liking you back? Is it about Jukyung?" Seojun looked away from me, "I don't mean to get personal but if you like her you should go for it," I nodded my head and gave him a small smile.

Seojun sighed, "you don't understand."

I raised my eyebrows. What does he mean I don't understand? I know how it feels to have someone not feel the same way for me.

"I do," I said in an annoyed tone, "there was a guy I liked but he started dating a girl who treated me really badly," my eyes shifted to my lap, "he was the only person I managed to talk to but once him and that girl got together he started ignoring me."

There was a few seconds of silence before Seojun decided to speak up, "I thought you didn't have any friends."

I looked up at him and scoffed, "who said I didn't have any friends?"

He laughed and started pointing at me, "I'm joking!" he leaned towards the table, "him deciding not to talk to you anymore showed you his real personality," a corner of his mouth lifted, "a bastard."

After around two hours of working on our project, we finally managed to finish. Only reason it took this was long because Seojun was too busy feasting instead of picking up his pencil.

It was dark outside. Seojun and I were walking side by side on a street with absolutely no source of light. He also refused to let me walk home alone, "you're crazy if you think you're going by yourself," is what he told me.

"The only reason I'm walking you home is because I have a sister," Seojun spoke.

My eyebrows snapped together, "I remind you of your sister?"

Seojun shook his head, "no I just wouldn't like it if someone made her walk home by herself in the dark."

"Mmh," was my only response.

Our arms were close to touching but neither of us moved away from each other. That tingly feeling in my stomach returned. My fingers brushed my hair while my eyes were positioned on the ground.

"I don't know why you don't talk more often," Seojun told me, "you're not boring."

I laughed, "you thought I was boring at first?"

He nodded, "yeah," Seojun rubbed my back and once again leaned close, "try being more social."

I scooted away from him, not because I felt uncomfortable, but because I didn't want to get that tingly feeling in my stomach again.

Seojun immediately moved his hands away and made space between us, "I'm sorry," he quickly apologized and turned his head away from me in shame.

"Oh no you're fine," I reassured him. My eyes awkwardly stared at the ground as we walked in silence once again.

I stopped and tapped on his shoulder, "you can go home," folding my arms as my head bent down, "I'm a few minutes away from my house."

"Are you sure?" He asked me.

I nodded, "yeah, I'll see you at school," I said as I began walking away from him.

Suddenly I heard a few footsteps behind me. I turned my head to see Seojun.

"No I'll keep walking you," he softly spoke to me. I only nodded and began rubbing my hands together. My eyes shifted to the ground as Seojuns started another conversation.

"You know there's been a lot of kidnappings in this area," he said.

I looked up at him with my eyes wide, "what?"

Seojun started laughing and playfully pushed me, "I'm kidding!"

I rolled my eyes, "don't joke around like that."

"I'm sorry," I heard him say. I looked over at him and saw his shoulders slumped as he walked sloppily.

"I'm not mad," I muttered. He glanced at me and cracked a tiny smile, "I made you feel bad."

I sighed and continued my walk. After a few minutes we finally arrived to my house, "we're here," I told Seojun.

He walked to my door and stood there for a while after I waved goodbye and opened my front door. Seojun sighed loudly and placed a hand in his pockets as he began scratching his neck, "I hope I get a thank you," he sarcastically said to himself.

I smiled gently, "thank you for walking me home, Han Seojun," I entered my house and softly shut the door.

The smile wouldn't leave my face. But my happiness was cut short when I received a message from one of Seojun's friends. My smile faded as I read what I was sent.

"Are you and Han Seojun dating? Sohye saw you two together ;))))" A photo of that moment when he grabbed me and pulled me closer was under that text.

My hands began shaking as my eyes widened. I struggled to come up with a response and froze for a few seconds.

"No he was walking me home," I responded.

Immediately he sent a message back, " oooo why??? What were you guys doing??? On a date???"

Before I could explain what happened, a random number began calling me. I declined it and started typing, but the number rang my phone once again.

I slammed my finger on the green answer icon and yelled my lungs out, "who is this?"

"It's Seojun." The voice responded in a low tone.

"Oh," was all I could say.

"Did you see the photo?" He asked me.

"I did," I said.

Seojun didn't sound worried at all. Almost as if this situation was not much of a big deal. On the other hand, I was freaking out. I don't want to imagine how the people in my classroom will react to this rumor.

"Everyone's gonna forget about it in a week so just forget about it," Seojun said in a nonchalant voice.

I raised an eyebrow, "what do you mean forget about it?"

He sighed, "it's just a rumor who cares."

My face flushed with anger hearing those words come out his mouth. I already have a group of people constantly insulting me over the tiniest things they obviously will use this against me.

"I care," I slightly raised my voice at him, "Sohye bothers me enough already you think I want her bothering me even more with this rumor?"

Seojun went silent.

"Not all of us can just ignore something," I spoke once more before hanging up on him.

What am I going to do?
