«we'll shortly reach each other anywhere»

I jumped as a loud growl sped past me. My eyes followed the noise and not to my surprise it was Han Seojun on his motorcycle.

"So annoying," I muttered.

Seojun braked in front of Jukyung. He always teases her. I noticed she's pretty much the only girl he ever wants to speak to. He's constantly flirting with her and basically tries impressing her every moment he gets.

I ignored them and continued my stroll to the school.

"Yeeun!" I heard masculine voices shout my name.

I spun around and shockingly it was Seojuns friends. They were all running towards me with snacks in their hands.

"I'm so sorry about Seojun yesterday!" "Some snacks as an apology!" "Please don't think badly about us!"

My eyes widened as some of them got on their knees to apologize and shoved their snacks onto my face.

I grabbed some of the candies, drinks, and chips nervously, "it's okay I'm not angry at any of you..."

I gave a small smile and began walking once again. I avoided their shouts and focused on the direction of my homeroom.

Distracted by the snacks, I accidentally bumped into someone.

"I'm so sorry about that," I quickly apologized and I looked up to see Suho staring right at me.

He gave me a cold look before walking away.

Offended and confused, I turned to look at him, "asshole," I muttered under my breath and shook my head.

Somehow he heard my voice and stopped in his tracks to glare at me.

I simply squinted my eyebrows and continued my walk.

What is up with everybody today?

Right as I reached my homeroom I heard voices once again.

Both feminine and masculine voices making insulting jokes about someone.

About me. Obviously.

"There's no way people are giving her snacks," one of them sneered.

"Can't believe there are people that actually like

her," they all continued on laughing at me.

I shut their jokes out of my head and entered Mr. Hans classroom. But they entered my head once again. I felt eyes staring at me and voices whispering towards one another.

I gulped and looked down at my feet before sitting down.

A few seconds later Seojun and his little group walked in loudly. The class was no longer full of whispers.

"Yeeun eat up!" One of his friends patted me on the back softly and smiled.

I returned one back, "thank you."

Soon after Suho and Jukyung joined in on the noise.

I avoided making eye contact with anyone. I simply waited for Mr. Han to enter.

I took a sip of my drink as I waited. I looked around and saw everybody talking to each other. It made me feel kind of out of place. Having no one to talk to every day felt lonely.

The door suddenly slammed opened and there was Mr. Han.

"Everybody please sit down!"

Mr Han grinned widely as he pulled out a chalk and began writing on the board.

"Group project... 4 people... essay on any literature piece you want..."

Not again...

I sighed and sunk in my seat.

"I picked out your partners," he spoke.

I was hoping for my partners to be Seojuns friends. They were the only people to be nice to me. It would be good to be paired up with people who don't treat me horribly or make me do the work all alone.

"Jukyung, Suho, Yeeun, and Seojun," were the first names he called out. Of course me being put in a group of people I don't enjoy speaking to.

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath.

Once I opened them I saw Jukyung smiling at Suho while Seojun began teasing her once again.

I knew my time in this group project was going to be miserable.

After the groups were paired up, Suho went up to both Jukyung and Seojun. I just stared at them for a while before Jukyung noticed I wasn't with them and called out my name.

"Yeeun! Come over here," she motioned for me to sit with them.

I got out of my seat and anxiously strolled over to them.

"So where are we meeting to do the project?" Seojun asked.

Jukyung smiled," how about my house?"

Suho shook his head, "no it's better for us to go to a cafe so we won't disturb your family."

I only stayed silent. Jukyung glanced over at me with a smile, "where do you want to go Yeeun?"

I nervously played with my fingers once we both made eye contact, "um, wherever you guys want to go..."

"Jukyung's house it is," Seojun smirked at her.

She clasped her hands together, "okay let's meet at my house tomorrow after school."

Suho disagreed with them, "no let's just go to a cafe."

Seojun laughed "But-"

Suho cut him off, "we're going to a cafe to do the project."

I stood there awkwardly as the tension between both Suho and Seojun grew. They both gave each other a cold look as Jukyung only seemed to look annoyed and confused.

"I'll go pick out a short story..." I awkwardly said.

Suho shot up from his seat, "no I'll get it," still keeping his eyes on Seojun until he walked away from all of us.

"So annoying," Jukyung muttered.

Seojun glanced over at her, "how are you doing Jukyung?" his face got very close to hers. He began smirking as he tilted his head.

She suddenly slapped him on his forehead and he jumped in pain, "you're making me annoyed!"

Seojun rubbed his forehead while glaring at her, "calm down."

Jukyung turned to look at me, ignoring Seojun, "Yeeun you should sit with us at lunch so we can discuss the group project"

I only nodded anxiously.

She smiled and clasped her hands together, "great! I hope we finish this project quickly."

Seojun continued on staring at her. Not even acknowledging my existence. Suho also returned to us but he kept his eyes fixed on Jukyung once he sat down.

I stood there awkwardly. I appeared unwanted and unnoticed.

"If I were them I would ignore her too."

The voices spoke again.

"Just her standing there annoys me."

"She's honestly so embarrassing"

I squeezed my fists nervously. Ignoring their words was hard because they just kept hitting me with insults.

"Can we work on the project now?" I spat out.

All but Jukyung ignored me.

"Sure," she replied with a smile.

Suddenly everyone sprang out of their seats and walked out the classroom.

"Huh." Seojun said, "time for lunch I guess we can't do the project," he shrugged while getting out of his seat. He ran to his friends.

Jukyung and Suho made conversation as they were on their way out.

I was the only one who didn't move in this empty classroom.

I wish I was close to someone.
