The five are on top of a rooftop that overlooks the city, showing off buildings and lights that go so far they become small specs.

In the middle of the roof is a small wooden shed that once housed pigeons.

Queenie and Jacob are inside the shed making small talk about the pigeon coop.

Newt has carefully placed Evelyn onto her feet, her foot feeling much better now bandaged up.

She has new shoes on, created by magic of course due to one of her old shoes being burnt through.

"You're lucky your shoe was there, believe me it would have been even worse on your foot now if it hadn't." Tina says standing beside her overlooking the city.

Newt doesn't let go of her waist just as precaution as he too looks out, Pickett sitting on his shoulder.

They stare in silence for quite some time, only the distant voices of Queenie and Jacob can be heard.

"I like the night." Evelyn breaks the silence first.

"Why? I think it's rather lonely and scary." Tina replies not moving her gaze from the city.

"It is lonely, but that why I like it. It's the one time I feel I fit in." Evelyn says giving a timid smile towards Tina.

"It's weird being in a new place, I still feel like I don't belong." Evelyn softly adds.

"Why don't you return to England?" Newt questions and if Evelyn hadn't been staring into the city lights, she would have noticed the hopefulness on Newts face.

"My family- I can't." Evelyn replies hoping he doesn't question anymore, she doesn't want to have a conversation about them again

Newt looks down at his feet sadly, he takes a deep breathe and looks up.

"Graves always insisted the disturbances were caused by a beast." Tina says changing the topic as she feels the tension rising.

"We need to a catch all your creatures, so that he can't keep using them as an excuse." Tina continues her mind trying to form a plan in her head.

"There's only one missing. Dougal my Demiguise." Newt nervously looks at the two girls.

"Slight problem is that...um, he's invisible." Newt continues smiling sheepishly at them.

"Invisible??" Tina and Evelyn say at the same time looking at each other in disbelief.

"Yes most of the time- he...does sometimes change..." Newt replies, stuttering slightly in embarrassment at how ridiculous it's going to be to find Dougal.

"How do you catch-" Evelyn begins to say but is interrupted by Newt.

"With immense difficulty." Newt says a smile on his face, he loves a challenge especially if it evolves his creatures.

Newt awkwardly removes his hand from Evelyn's waist, suddenly aware of it as he shyly looks at her.

They stare at each other for quite some time, almost forgetting Tina is even there.

"Gnarlak!" Tina suddenly says causing the two to jump and break their gaze.

"Excuse me?" Newt asks confused.

"Gnarlak, he was an informant of mine when I was an Auror! He use to trade in magical creatures on the side!" Tina exclaims rather excitedly looking at the two.

"He wouldn't happen to have an interest in paw prints, would he?" Newt questions hopefully.

"He's interested in anything he can sell! I'll go tell Queenie and Jacob what we're doing." Tina says and heads of towards the shed, leaving Newt and Evelyn at the edge of the rooftop.

Newt moves slightly closer to Evelyn, as she smiles slightly feeling the warmth radiating off him.

"Is your foot feeling better?" He questions looking towards her.

"Yes, well I think so I can't really feel it at the moment." Evelyn replies nervously playing with a loose string coming from the bottom of her top.

"I'm sorry for uh-" Newt begins to say before stopping nervously rubbing his neck.

"For what?"

"Well um- you know uh- kissing you before we in separated. I'm not really sure what got into me." Newt says nervously knowing fully well why he did it.

Evelyn feels her heart pang slightly, assuming sorry means he regrets doing it.

"Oh it's okay. I -well- uh I didn't mind." Evelyn replies nervously getting quieter as she speaks.

She looks down at her feet still close to Newt.

He puts his hand on her chin and lifts her head slightly up towards him, as he looks down at her.

"You're different. I can tell you understand me." Newt says softly his mouth lifting slightly at the corner.

"I like to see through what others think are flaws. I think your love for beasts is beautiful, I don't think I've ever met anyone so protective and caring of them." Evelyn replies softly looking back at him.

A sudden surge of confidence causes her to lace her hand with his, smiling at the warmth it brings.

Newt has a slight blush forming on his cheeks as he smiles wider looking up and out at the city once more.
