'Can you go to the store and buy gummy worms' Alice asked sitting next to Mercy
Mercy frowned staring at her grandmother, 'why gummy worms?'
'Because, your old gran has needs'
'You act like your 15'
'And when I was 15, I had gummy worms'
Mercy sat up with a grunt, walking to the kitchen she grabbed her purse before heading to the front door. Alice was smiling as Mercy turned the door knob, 'why can't you go?' Mercy stopped
'I'm old and my feet hurt'
Mercy huffed walking outside, shutting the door she began to walk down the street. She swore she could hear her gran yell at her, asking why she wasn't going to apperate. Mercy marched to the store, it was only a five minute walk from her house and she needed the fresh air.
The store was busy and people were everywhere trying to buy groceries. Mercy frowned searching for the section that carried all the sweets. Mercy followed the signs to the back of the store, finding the section she was looking for she smiled. She grabbed a box of gummy worms and looked around, she also grabbed a box chocolates before making her way back to the front.
Walking home took longer then it was to get to the store, that made no sense to Mercy. The snow was now falling heavily as Mercy finally entered the comfort of her home, she locked the door behind her before walking into the kitchen. Throwing her purse and keys onto the table she sat down facing Alice who appeared sitting opposite to her.
'Do you have my gummy worms?'
Mercy nodded tossing her the box of gummy worms. She smiled before ripping the container open. Mercy watched her eat two gummy worms before she took a deep breath and looked over at Mercy, her eyes lit up as if she remembered something.

'That boy came over while you were out'
'What?' Mercy's jaw dropped
'Yah, he seems nice. Said he misses you but he's worried'
'Worried about what?'
'He came in with another rose. Set it in the living room and left, I think he didn't want you to see him quite yet'
'Why doesn't he want me to see him?'
'If I knew, Mercy dear, you know I would tell you' Alice said munching on another gummy worm
Mercy stood up and walked over to the living room before sitting down on the end of the couch, looking over at the side table she noticed the rose. It was perfectly placed beside the frame that contained the picture of her and Newt, the frame and picture he gave her when they left New York.
Mercy grabbed the rose and immediately checked for a note. Again, like always there was one stuck in between the inner petals. But, this time something else was stuck with it. A small picture fell from the note, Mercy picked up the tiny photo and examined it. It was of her and Newt, they were somewhere in Europe when they first left for their trip. She was smiling staring at the camera while Newt was smiling too but instead of staring at the camera he was staring at Mercy. The picture wasn't moving which meant it was in fact taken somewhere in Europe with Mercy's old Muggle camera she got from her mum. She flipped the small picture over and in small scribbles something was written across the back, 'for the locket'. Mercy smiled placing the picture in her lap and unfolding the note, she looked down at the neat writing.
Mercy sighed. Picking up the rose, the note and picture she made her way into the kitchen. Quickly placing the rose with the rest she ran upstairs to her room, where the box of Newts notes were. She placed this one with the rest before walking over to her closet and underneath the box laid the locket she bought in New York. She brushed away the dust and opened it, the photo-less circle still remained untouched. She carefully slid the picture into the side, straightening it out she examined it before placing the locket around her neck with a smile dancing on her lips.

Alice sat at the kitchen table still eating her gummy worms. Mercy laughed dragging her into the living room and sitting her on the couch,
'This will be much more comfortable' Mercy said sitting beside her
'Is that new, the necklace?' Alice pointed to the long yellow and black locket
'No, I bought it in New York'
'Why haven't you been wearing it then?'
'I never had a picture to put in it' Mercy shrugged opening the circle, revealing the picture of her and Newt.
'So I guess you love the picture he sent you'
'What, How did you know?' Mercy asked looking over with a smile
'He told me when you were out, remember? He came by and dropped off the rose'
'Why is he telling you this? Why won't he just talk to me in person already?'
'I've already told you, dear, He's worried.'
'Earlier you never told me why he was worried, did he tell you?' Mercy asked
'He said a lot of things, Mercy'
'Like what? Why is he worried to see me, I want to know'
'He thinks your still mad at him, he's worried you haven't forgiven him' Alice explained
'Why would he think I haven't forgiven him?'
'Because honey, if he were you, he still would be upset'
'Why?' Mercy asked frowning, Alice just looked up at Mercy with the most serious expression she'd ever seen on her grandmother's face. She sighed before speaking softly to Mercy,
'He said you were the love of his life'

* Tale of Tales is a High/Epic Fantasy saga based on the motifs of ancient myths, legends, and forgotten fairytales * Senka is no hero, but you never know what is coming for you. And if that burns down your house and family, while you are left blinded by your house’s guardian snake, the outlook becomes grim. So Senka clings to her dog’s back to survive, unaware of the fateful prophecy and the great changes to come. But when a wandering warrior becomes her protector and mysterious strangers join their hounded party through a series of seemingly chance encounters, they all begin to discover that all is not as it seems. What is pursuing her? And why? Can the strange characters gathering around her on her desperate quest save her from doom? Are they mere puppets of a young, beguiling witch guided by her own hidden motives, or are forgotten shadows rising again from the immeasurable depths of time? A tale of folk fairytales and myths, of swords and sorcery and mythical beings – a unique story of dark times and unsung heroes who may light your way. Book one, A Strange Bunch, features leading characters of various ages. This is a fantasy with their progression happening slowly throughout the series, with occasional spikes in character power after certain encounters that may or may not be random. Although the book series is written with adult and young adult audiences in mind, it is, in the tradition of such epics as “The Lord of the Rings,” suitable for all ages. Excerpt from the scene depicted on the cover of the first book: “Above this hellish pack and the rider at the forefront, flurried a ghastly sight – a cloud of dark, endlessly bustling bodies and wings, a swarm of creatures that, through their almost infinite number, produced that great din which had first reached the ears…” RELEASE SCHEDULE is about once a week. The entire series should take around two and a half years of weekly chapter episodes, so do encourage me by reacting and following. Ratings are greatly appreciated!
