You lay on the couch in the entrance of Newt's suitcase with both yours and his comforter on top of you. You took his without permission, but you promised yourself that you would give it back...maybe. You attempted to start a fire once Newt left to get your "surprise", but that only ended with a minor cut on your finger, and soot all over your arms and hands.
So, you only tried to warm yourself with two thin comforters and the measly thought of Newt laying on the couch with you. You closed your eyes and folded your hands under your arms. Then, just then you were about to try to start the fire again, Newt came crawling down the ladder with a large bag on his back. He smiled at you, his blue-green eyes glimmering. He flashed his bright teeth at you lightly, looking over his shoulder as he stepped down from the ladder. He pulled the bag off of him and set it on the ground.
"Hello, love," said Newt with his raspy voice. He slid his navy blue trench coat off of his arms and back and hung it up next to the fire place, which left him in his golden vest, his white button up, and his tie to match his coat. Words could not express how brilliant he looked, standing in the corner before you. He half smiled, blushing as he looked at you.
"I have something," He began to unzip the large bag and pulled out the largest, softest looking blanket you had ever seen, and a record.
"You don't own a record player," You replied, looking at his slightly unbuttoned shirt, smiling. It looked like as if he pulled his wand out of thin air when he enchanted the record, sending it spinning around in the corner. It began to play instrumental versions of Christmas songs. You smiled and shifted under the covers, not knowing what he was about to do with the blanket as he walked towards you with it on his back. He set it down and leaned over top of you, breathing on your neck. He looked into your eyes for a moment before ripping the two blankets off of your body.

"Newt- no, seriously- it's too cold for that!" You yelled at him, laughing along. He then gathered all the blankets behind him and fell on top of you, creating a small pocket of warm air on his back for a moment under the blankets. You giggled brightly and he wrapped his arms around your waist and rested his head on your stomach. He looked up at you with those same, glimmering eyes and asked,
"Do you fancy my surprise?" You smiled and ran your fingers through his ashy, ginger hair.
"You're a brilliant man, Mr. Scamander," He looked over at the fire place and brought out his wand once more, setting the logs on fire with one motion. He then turned off the lamp to the side of the couch by his feet and nuzzled his face on to your chest. His face lit up.
"I've got another idea," His voice chimed. A bottle of champagne appeared to the side of you along with two glasses.
"Are you trying to intoxicate me, Mr. Scamander?" You teased. He sat up and straddled you as he poured the two drinks in mid air. He looked down and flashed a mischievous smile.
"Not at all," He handed you a glass as the bottle refilled itself. You took a drink, not taking your eyes off of Newt. You set both of your floating drinks next to the floating bottle and cuddled up again.
Despite being dangerously cold ten minutes ago, you were now warm inside and out. And it was all because of Newt Scamander. He always had cared for you in a way no one else had. He showed you compassion --
Newt held a shining, jellyfish-like creature on his arms as he bottle fed it. He looked up at you with a half smile on his face as you watched the brilliant man cradle a creature that was perceived to be dangerous.

He showed you bravery --
Absolute havoc was taking place in the city below the both of you as the obscurious destroyed everything in its way. Newt turned to you and placed is suitcase in your arms.
"If I don't come back, please look after my creatures," He set his tattered and worn journal on top of the suitcase. "Everything you need to know is in here,"
And with just a flick of his wand, he was in the eye of it all, protecting not just his creatures, himself, or the city. He was protecting you.
He showed you strength --
His jaw clenched as Jacob said his last goodbye to Queenie. He slowly reached for your hand as you stood behind him. You took it, and you both squeezed the other's hand. Jacob didn't say anything to you, but you both knew that saying goodbye wasn't your thing. Queenie's wand grew into an invisible umbrella just before Jacob walked out. You buried your head in Newt's chest and closed your eyes. You didn't want to cry in front of Newt. He was being strong for the both of you. He placed his hand on the back of your head and tangled his fingers in your hair. You heard him swallow hard, not unclenching his jaw. He kissed the top of your head and raised his wand.
"It'll be okay,"
But most importantly...he showed you how to love someone unconditionally, and you couldn't thank him enough for that.

Alone in a vast expanse of knowledge and void of any previous memory what else was I to do but learn? The world above awaited me, but down here it was all I could do to read about it, prepare for it. How long would it take for me to see my first of the Learned Races, or encounter my first monster? To simply see a [City Guard] or a [Warrior] maybe even a [Mage], even then I'd be sated no matter how basic the Class. I wanted to witness what I read about, the fantastical [Secret Stache] of a [Treasure Hunter] or a [Pickpocket] using [Deft Hands]. These were natural occurrences above, but alas, I was below. And this deep down, I'd see my first horror before seeing any mere monster. My escape were the books but soon I'd turn that knowledge into a real escape, I'd emerge from this dear library and claw my way above. But I'd need to prepare myself, I just didn't know how yet. So back to my books.

Because of this, young children starting from 10 had to go to Military School. When they were 13, they were given the choice to specialise in military or do other work. Everyone who were born after the Monsters turned on the Human Race, were born with Modifications to their body, and these Modifications were a singular power which conspire into something unordinary when nurtured. Neo was someone who was ordinary. He had some successes in his time at Military School during his three years there, and honestly, he wasn't any good in much else. He was hand picked by people he had never seen before, and was one of the 750,000 in the whole of Panorama.
