"Sis... my dick exploded..." Vean moaned, sitting on the bed. His hair had a slight sheen of sweat and his face was red from exertion, but he seemed to be smiling nonetheless.

A soft chuckle left Mabel's lips before she started laughing too. Her sister sat next to him in silence as they both tried to calm down.

After some time, it seemed like their laughter subsided. Their breathing was heavier now and their faces were flushed.

Vean looked over at Mabel again. He could see the amusement written all over her face. She was also biting back laughter. It wasn't long before they both burst into giggles again, which caused Mabel to fall backward onto the bed. They both fell silent and lay looking at the ceiling, tears leaking from both sides of their eyes.

Eventually, after a few more moments of silence between them and their breath, Vean turned so that he was facing Mabel. "What did you think I meant by that?" he asked with a small smile on his face.

Mabel smiled back at her brother. "You know, I don't really know. Maybe it was something about how it made sense when you said you wanted it?" She then added with an evil smile on her face, "Did it make sense when we were twelve?"

Vean couldn't help but let out a low chuckle at this. After a few minutes of silence, Vean spoke up again. "How old are you again?"

"Sixteen."

He nodded in understanding. As much as they teased each other about it, neither of them ever got angry about it. In fact, whenever they would tease one another, Vean would never take things seriously. But, even if he didn't take things seriously himself, he knew that Mabel didn't either. If Vean hadn't been there for Mabel during those first years of puberty, he might not have been able to get the courage to admit it to anyone or do anything about it. So, he appreciated everything that Mabel had done. Even if sometimes Mabel could be pushy. But, Vean couldn't imagine living without her. And, although she could be annoying, she's never been anything but supportive and loving towards him throughout his life.

She gave Vean a quick hug and then leaned against him.

"It's nice to just hang out with you today," she murmured, closing her eyes slowly.

Vean smiled to himself. He didn't respond though because she already knew what he'd say anyways. After all, she knew him well enough to know that he wouldn't want to talk right now. So, he simply wrapped his arm around her shoulder and held her close.

When they finally opened their eyes again, they realized that night had fallen. There wasn't any light outside except the faint glow of a streetlight across the hall.

Vean stood up off of the bed slowly, still holding Mabel's hand in his own. Then, the two of them walked over to Vean's closet. They pulled open the doors and stared inside.

There weren't too many clothes, only two outfits and a pair of underwear that was almost entirely black. But, most importantly, there was no space available. Vean sighed heavily while running his fingers through his short hair.

Mabel frowned slightly before she started pulling out some shirts from his closet. "Here," she said, handing one to Vean and then taking some pants for herself.

Vean smiled in appreciation. "Thanks," he replied while grabbing one of Mabel's shirts. He quickly changed and put the shirt on. "You okay going to your room tonight?" Vean questioned.

Mabel thought for a moment before answering, "I don't know. Probably not." The two of them paused for a second before Mabel continued speaking. "Do you think that God is gonna be there again tomorrow? I wanna see him."

"Yeah. We're gonna go see him," Vean responded.

"Okay, good. Hey Ve, can I ask you something?"

"Sure thing."

Mabel took a deep breath before asking, "Does Dad know about this?"

Vean sighed and answered, "No."

"Really?!" Mabel exclaimed, throwing her arms in front of her. Vean watched as his sister paced back and forth in front of him, unable to contain her excitement.

"Yes, really," Vean replied firmly, glaring at his little sister. "Why the hell would I tell him?" he added softly, hoping his words would convince her to stop her actions. She stopped pacing immediately, looking up at her older brother.

Mabel shrugged. "Don't know. I guess I'm glad he doesn't know. Does he know why he isn't seeing us anymore?" she inquired.

Before Vean could answer, Mabel continued. "It feels weird. Like we aren't part of our family any more. Do you understand what I'm saying?" Vean nodded in response. He did understand. After all, it felt strange too. But he knew that she needed answers. And they definitely couldn't keep this bottled up forever.

Vean looked at Mabel and noticed the look of pain on her face. He reached over and grabbed her shoulders. "I get it. Don't worry. I'll figure something out."

"Promise?"

Vean chuckled and nodded, "Promise."

Mabel nodded as she wiped away some stray tears, still not completely happy with the situation.

"Now come on," Vean said, standing up and helping Mabel up. "Let's go to sleep."

As the siblings climbed into Veans bed, they lay together under his covers, their legs touching. Both were facing away from each other, but Vean could feel Mabel staring at him for a while.

"Vean?" she eventually said after about ten minutes of silence had passed.

"Hmm?" he hummed back, turning to face his sister.

"Why do you call me Sis?" she questioned, a confused expression crossing her face.

Vean raised an eyebrow. What did she mean by that question? He had expected her to try and find out what it meant, but he didn' t expect her to bring that topic up.

"Uh, because...you're my baby sister? You call me Ve," Vean answered, trying his hardest to avoid sounding like he was lying. He honestly didn't know why he called her his baby sister. Maybe it was because she was always cuddly or something. Or maybe it was because they used to call each other sibs, and they both liked being called that. Who knows?

However, it didn't matter whether it was true or not because, at least to Vean, it would probably stay that way for a while. He loved Mabel and her stupid jokes. Besides, he didn't mind calling her "sister" if it made her happy.

"Oh," she said with a sigh, obviously not satisfied with his answer. "So...can I still call you Ve? Is that ok?"

Vean smiled to himself. Of course he'd love that! He liked hearing Mabel' s name roll off her tongue. It made him happy. "Yup! Sure. Go ahead!"

Mabel grinned at him happily before rolling over so that she could snuggle up to Vean. After a moment or two of silence, she mumbled sleepily, "I like sleeping with you here."

Vean couldn' t hold back his smile this time. "Me too."

Silence once again filled the room as both Vean and Mabel drifted off to sleep. It wasn't until sometime later that Vean heard Mabel speak again.

"Hey Vean?"

Vean's eyes fluttered open for a moment as he listened intently. "Huh?" he replied in a slurred voice. He sat up from where he had been laying next to her.

"Could you play me a song?" she replied, her tone soft, yet pleading.

Vean couldn't believe his ears. "You really want me to play you some music?" he repeated slowly. When Mabel nodded hesitantly, Vean let out a soft chuckle. "Are you sure?" he asked, not wanting to hurt her feelings with a refusal.

"Yeah...I want to hear you sing..." Mabel replied quietly, a small grin appearing on her lips. A sudden rush of fondness filled Vean. It reminded him of a feeling that he'd had since they were kids. Whenever he would wake up with Mabel curled up next to him, he knew exactly what day it was. That day would also usually mean a lot to them. For instance, when they were little and Vean would wake up early and go downstairs to start making breakfast for everyone. Usually, Mabel would follow behind him and join him. She would make sure to help him clean up afterwards. She would laugh and joke with him and pretend nothing was wrong with her. But, she'd remember every single day. Just because Vean had forgotten what it felt like to have fun didn't mean that Mabel didn't. Vean knew her better than anyone else. That's why he knew how much he meant to her.

Even though it's only been six years, they were practically inseparable for that entire time.

"Of course." He got out of bed quickly and started gathering everything he'd need to play music, which included a guitar. He grabbed it carefully and placed it on top of his desk before sitting down. He turned around and faced Mabel.

She smiled brightly, clearly waiting for him to start playing. Vean couldn't believe that his little sister hadn't figured out yet that he knew she loved singing. He supposed there really was only one way he could explain her behavior. She was just very stubborn, even more so when she wanted something, and wouldn't give up until she got it. Vean laughed lightly to himself when he thought of how childish his little sister could be.

Mabel shed tears. Listening to her brother's voice soothe her like it did every morning calmed her nerves slightly. She was always afraid that Vean might suddenly decide to leave. That would mean that she would be stuck alone. That would mean that it would take longer for her and Vean to meet up with God again. Although she didn't know how long her brother was planning to stay, Mabel wanted to keep praying anyway. She didn't want to think negatively about anything, but that wouldn't happen if she didn't pray enough.

As soon as the song finished, Mabel spoke in a shaky voice, "I love you Ve."

"I love you too, Sis," Vean whispered, pulling his sister closer to him.

They stayed silent for several seconds, simply enjoying each other's warmth. It was nice having another person to spend time with. They spent most of their time with one another. They weren't allowed to have a friend outside of school or their mom. If anything happened to them, it was up to their mom. It wasn't like either one of them would ever leave their mother alone. But whenever they were left on their own, it would be very hard to talk. So instead they talked through their parents.

"Can I ask you something, Ve?" Mabel broke the silence. Her voice was quiet and cautious as her curiosity took control of her.

Vean nodded and pulled Mabel closer to him to encourage her to ask her questions. She bit her lip in hesitation before continuing.

"What do you think about having a baby?" Mabel asked.

"Ah... cute? B-but w-why are you asking me that?"

"Well... the thing is."

Vean stared at her menacingly.

"I'm pregnant."
