《Almarillion》Chapter 1 : To Mei Love
Advertisement
Mei, a student of Arendel High School, was the least popular person either at school or at home. She doesn't have friends. Her family never gave her any. She was bullied daily because of it. It didn't help that when she got to her next class, someone always shoved her books out of her hands.
"I-I'm s-so sorry," Mei said as she grabbed the books. The teacher wasn't even paying attention anymore.
The bullies only snickered before they turned around and left. They were probably laughing in their head about how stupid she looks.
As she walked over to her locker she noticed a note on it. It was written in cursive writing.
'Mei, you are so fucking weak. your bangs are even worse, you fucking whore!'
Mei just let the tears fall. This is the fourth time someone made fun of her like this since the day she started attending Arendel High. And now everyone knows.
She put her stuff away and went home to cry herself to sleep.
When she got there she saw her mom talking with her dad, more like arguing as ever. As she entered, she could hear them.
"You promised me when she came here-"
"I know I did. But can you imagine what would happen if something happened to her? She might go missing."
"No, we don't want that."
"So you want to leave her alone forever?"
"Well... She was a burden to begin with."
"Don't say that! You know I've done everything for her. She's my baby!"
Mei sat on the floor, leaning against the wall, crying quietly. When she heard them talk like that, all she wanted to do was run over there and hug her parents. However, she had a feeling she wouldn't be welcome right now, so she just stood there and listened.
It was quiet for a couple minutes, but soon enough the front door opened again.
Her father walked through it.
He was yelling about something. Mei assumed it was her mother. That was until he looked at her.
His eyes widened when he saw her.
And then he screamed.
It was loud. So loud. Mei covered her ears.
After that, her mother came running after him.
"What's wrong with her? Why does she keep doing this? Can't you see she isn't good enough? If you're not going to raise her properly then why are you trying?!"
Before long, she ran upstairs, and her father followed. Mei sat there until she couldn't hear them anymore. Then she took a deep breath. She thought for a moment that her parents hated her. Maybe they weren't as loving as she thought they would be. She thought of the way her teachers treated her, how she wasn't allowed to eat lunch with anyone, how people laughed at her, and all those times that they yelled. It was so bad that she'd sometimes have nightmares from it. Even worse was when someone would try to hurt her, physically or emotionally, by making some kind of harsh comment about her. All she wanted to do was escape.
Mei left the house, walking aimlessly into the woods.
It had started raining again as Mei walked along the path through the forest. The light raindrops fell down like small little diamonds on the grass. Some splashed on the ground, making tiny little splashes as they walked. A gentle breeze blew through the trees. The leaves rustled gently. The sounds were calming and soothing, but not to her, she thought. Instead she felt as though she was suffocating. There was too much air. She needed some air.

But where could she possibly go? It's dangerous. It's dark. Where would I go, anyway? She asked herself, her thoughts coming back to her parents.
Her legs started moving forward again, slowly, silently, taking one step at a time. Eventually she stopped, realizing how lonely and empty she felt.
It's better than being miserable, she thought. I've gotten used to it.
Suddenly she realized she was getting lost.
There was no sign of civilization anywhere.
How am I supposed to get home?
She tried to figure out how far she actually was, which direction was back, and which way to turn. Suddenly she heard footsteps. Someone was walking towards her.
She froze in place.
A figure emerged from between the trees.
A boy.
He appeared to be around seventeen years old. His black hair was messy and sticking up at random places. He also wore ripped clothes. His skin was pale white as snow. There were black bags under his eyes. He smiled at her. His smile seemed... ethereal...
This was the first smile she'd seen on him that didn't involve mockery or insults. For whatever reason, it made her heart melt. It almost reminded her of a flower petal falling in the wind.
"Hi," he greeted with a small wave of his hand. "Are you lost?"
"Um, yes," she replied shakily.
"Oh, sorry! Here," he said handing her a crumpled piece of paper. "That way you can find your way back."
Mei stared at him in awe.
Is this real? I need answers now. I need to know what's happening. How did I end up here?
The boy gave a sheepish laugh.
"Um, I didn't mean to scare you, but I was going to ask if you needed help finding your way back."
He held out the paper, smiling at her.
Why does my face feel so warm? Is that normal?
Mei reached out to take the paper. He helped her unfold it.
There was a list.
"T-thank you," Mei said awkwardly, giving him another small wave. "B-bye."
"Goodbye," he answered as she walked off.
She found her way back home after that. After the encounter with the mysterious boy, it had been the first time she had been able to move without being afraid. She was still shaken from his kindness, though.
Mei closed the door behind her and flopped onto the couch, hugging a pillow to her chest. Her father came up behind her, standing with full of lust and hatred gaze.
"Where have you been?" He asked, gripping onto her shirt with his teeth. Mei flinched.
"I-"
"Answer me!"
"A-at s-school."
His grip grew tighter and tighter.
"Lying to me!" He shrieked, lifting her off of the couch, and making her lose her balance. He then threw her against the wall, causing her head to bang harshly against it and leaving a bloody bruise.
He then picked her up by the waist and slammed her against the wall a couple more times. Mei screamed and struggled.
"Get her clothes off."
Someone else came into the room. It was a stranger that Mei had never seen before.
"What a hot daughter you have Mr. Barnack." said the stranger, licking his lips.
"Shut up! Now, tied her and her whore mother."
"As you wish."
Mei felt something sharp pricking her neck.
"Wanna try something new, Mei?"
He then pressed something cold, wet, and sticky against her neck. A few seconds later, an intense pain spread throughout her body. Tears poured down her face as she tried to fight back the excruciating pain.

"P-please... stop..." she begged.
"Hush little girl, you're going to love what comes next..."
Everything was red. Everything was red.
Then she saw someone.
It was the boy that she met in the forest. She blinked a few times, confused.
Then everything cleared up.
She suddenly felt lightheaded and nauseous. She could hardly stand. Her knees began to give out beneath her, sending her crashing onto the hard wooden floor.
The last thing she remembered was the feeling of a knife sinking into her stomach.
"Wake up, Mei. Wake up, my einherjar."
A voice. A soothing voice. It sounds familiar. Mei's pains suddenly disappeared. She lifted her head up and looked around. The world was blurry for a moment, and she rubbed her eyes, letting them adjust to the bright lights shining on her face. There's someone in front of her.
It's the boy... the boy that she met before.
He walked towards Mei and gave her a kiss on the forehead. Mei's injuries got negated. The boy looked at Mei with concern.
"You alright? How do you feel?"
"I-I'm fine, t-thank you," Mei managed to answer, sitting up straight on the bed. The sheets were soaked with blood. It pooled at the side of the bed and dripped down.
"Who attacked you?"
Before Mei could answer, the boy raised his right hand. Mei gasped in horror. He grabbed the two heads of her attacker. Her father, and the stranger who stabbed her. He held both heads in one of his hands, and he squeezed them together until their brains spilled out. A couple drops spilt onto his shirt, but he barely reacted to it. The only noise was the two sets of heads hitting the floor.
Once he was done, he wiped his bloody hands on his pants and looked at Mei.
"Who did this to you?" He asked once more.
Mei hesitated for a while, unsure of what to say. This is it. It's over. He'll kill me. I don't want it anymore. Why won't he just let me die already? Why won't he let me leave this hell? If I tell him, he will kill me.
"I... I d-" Mei started to answer.
"Your father did this to you, huh?" The boy cut her off. "And the stranger too."
Mei nodded her head softly, afraid that saying anything would make things even worse.
"That idiot," he spat.
He pulled a bottle out of his pocket. When he uncapped it he poured it over the stranger's head. Blood dripped from his head, soaking through his shirt.
"Now let's get you cleaned up so we can talk about this," he said in an irritated tone.
He stood up from the ground and turned to Mei. "Stay here. I'll be right back."
Mei watched him leave. He didn't look mad anymore, however. Instead there was a slight hint of concern in his eyes. That worried Mei slightly. It wasn't normal for him to show emotion in such a way.
"You really must be strong," he whispered before leaving the room and closing the door softly behind him.
As Mei took in what was happening around her, she noticed that her room had completely changed. All of her belongings had gone and now lay strewn across the floor.
She ran her fingers along all of her items. Some of them were damaged from where they had hit the walls. One of the pictures on her desk had torn. There were several stains on the floor. She felt sick looking at them.
So much has happened in such a short amount of time... I should probably clean it up before he gets back.
Slowly, Mei started picking up all of her destroyed belongings and bringing them over to the bathroom. As soon as she entered the room, she stopped breathing. Standing in front of her, arms crossed with a frown on his face, stood the same boy with the strange eyes from before.
"Don't worry. I have already taken care of it." he informed.
When she didn't respond, he continued speaking again.
"We are safe here now. There' no need for you to worry."
For some reason, these words made Mei feel a little less scared. But the thought still lingered in her mind.
Why did they attack me? What do they want from me? How can I be still alive?
Suddenly, the boy's expression softened. He approached her.
"You are safe now. Nothing bad can happen," he repeated with reassurance, reaching out and caressing her cheek.
Her breath stopped for a moment. Slowly, she tilted her chin upwards, meeting his gentle gaze. His thumb brushed over her bruised cheek gently. Mei gazed deeply into his eyes as he lowered his face towards hers. Slowly, he inched closer and closer... closing the gap between them.
In that moment, Mei knew what she wanted; to be his. She wanted to be with him.
"W-who... W-what a-are y-you?"
The boy smiled. "I am the All, I am the Truth, I am the One Who Exist Before the Existence Existed, I am the King that rule Everything and Nothingness, I am you, I am what happen, happened, and will happen, I am the creator of all creators, Supreme Ruler of the Multiverses, the father of the Gods. I am 𝕱in. It's an honor to meet you, Mei." The boy bowed. A bright aura surrounded him. Mei could swear she was seeing the galaxies behind him. The boy continued talking. "I've always loved you, my dearest. For eons, I waited for you to finally notice me. I've waited and waited for you to realize that I was the one you loved, and I was the one who loves you." 𝕱in rose to meet Mei's eye level once again. He cupped the sides of her face.
"I love you, Mei. Please believe me when I say, you are special. You are meant to be with me. And nothing will ever change that."
"But you killed my fath.." she stuttered.
"No, Mei. My beloved, your dear father is alive. I saved him, but I also killed him. It was necessary to eliminate the threat to you. It is why I had to take your father away. You are safe from him now. We'll leave this place forever and find somewhere far away."
𝕱in stared deeply into her eyes. Mei closed her eyes slowly. His words echoed inside her head like a constant melody.
I love you, Mei.
She opened her eyes and glanced back at 𝕱in.
"How... how do I know I can trust you?" she said nervously.
𝕱in looked surprised by her question. Slowly a small smile formed on his lips.
"Well... you'll never know unless you try."
After he uttered those words, he leaned in closer to Mei. Slowly, Mei felt herself being pushed onto her back. The cool air washed over her skin. Their lips met slowly. It started off slow and cautious, but after a few seconds, Mei wrapped her arms around his neck and deepened the kiss. She could feel his soft lips pressing against her own. The warmth of his breath made it seem like he kissed her everytime he breathed, like he was trying to breathe life into her.
She couldn't help but melt into the touch of his hands and lips. Every touch of his skin sent goosebumps down her spine. His lips felt like heaven against her own. Even though it was hard for her to focus on the kiss, she tried to hold on to each moment she spent with him, just as he held her tightly, whispering sweet nothings into her ear. Mei could hear the smile in his voice.
"You're beautiful," he murmured.
Mei blushed and shook her head shyly. "N...no... you're beautiful," she mumbled.
𝕱in grinned.
They parted for a second to catch their breaths. Mei could feel a sense of relaxation taking over her body. Just by being with him, she felt better.
She could feel her eyelids becoming heavy. Before she could even start to fight to stay awake, her mind faded to black.

The next time Mei woke up, she was lying on something soft and warm. It seemed to be coming from underneath her. She blinked slowly. She couldn't move, but she could feel something holding her close. Something that smelled of fresh coffee.
It wasn't long till the memory of the previous night came rushing back to her. She felt tears forming in her eyes.
A sudden wave of panic overcame her.
Is he here?!
She sat up abruptly and started looking around. After what felt like hours, but actually were only minutes, she spotted him, sitting calmly by her side. The smile on his face was replaced with a sad, serious one.
"Did I wake you up?" he asked.
"No! No, I was jus-" she paused and took a sharp intake of breath "-sneaking out..."
She saw the disappointment flicker in his eyes briefly before his expression became neutral again.
"Sorry," she muttered guiltily.
"Do not be sorry. I was going to wake you anyway."
His expression changed to another serious one.
"Listen carefully."
He moved closer towards her and grabbed one of her hands gently, interlacing their fingers together. Mei felt a blush spreading across her cheeks.
"You're the one," he stated slowly. "The one whom my heart longed for eternities." He sighed, gazing deeply into her eyes. "My dearest Mei. My beautiful Mei." His voice broke for a moment.
He swallowed lightly and continued speaking. "I don' know how many times I've told you this already, but I am in love with you, Mei."
His words made her heart soar. She stared into his eyes. He was telling the truth. Everything he'd said last night, everything he said yesterday, he was really saying those things to her. Her thoughts started racing. Could this mean that he truly cared about her? Did he honestly mean what he was saying? Was he really in love with her?
All these questions were going through her head. In that moment, she didn't care about anything else. She could barely see anything except him. All of her worries vanished.
𝕱in placed a soft kiss on her forehead. "Please forgive me for putting you through that. I never meant for you to end up hurt or dead. You shouldn't have been harmed in the first place because of my mistake. You deserve so much more."
His gaze was so gentle and loving that he took her breath away. This was the person she loved. The person who she would spend the rest of eternity with. Who would always be there for her no matter what. This person was perfect for her.
Mei stared up at him. She could feel her cheeks heating up, but she didn't care. All she could think about was how wonderful he felt. All he had done to protect her was completely worth it. So she simply replied with a faint smile on her face.
"I forgive you... 𝕱in."
This made him chuckle softly. Then he leaned forward and placed his hand on top of Mei's.
"So, you must be hungry. Let's go eat breakfast. We've got quite a lot to talk about, right?"
Without waiting for her response, 𝕱in stood up and picked her up, cradling her tightly in his arms. Mei let out a small gasp and closed her eyes tightly. She was scared he might drop her. However, 𝕱in carried her effortlessly to the kitchen and put her gently on her feet.
"Come on," he said.
Mei nodded obediently. 𝕱in walked to the fridge and pulled out some eggs. Meanwhile, Mei took a seat beside him. He handed her a carton of eggs then filled both of their plates.
As they ate, Mei found herself smiling happily.
"𝕱in."
"Hmm?" he answered.
"Could we... Could we... Can we..."
𝕱in lifted his eyes and looked straight into hers. "What is it, my Mei?"
"Could we...." she cleared her throat awkwardly. "could we get married?"
𝕱in burst out laughing. "Really?" he said while wiping a tear from the corner of his eye.
"Uhm..." Mei felt awkward. She was still confused. Why was he laughing? What did that mean?
"Yes!" 𝕱in chuckled, "We should probably get married, right? We're going to be married soon enough."
He stood up. "Let me clean up." He took his plate to the sink. Mei watched him. 𝕱in turned and looked back at her, noticing her staring.
"What is it, love?" he smiled.
Her mouth opened slightly as if she was about to reply, but then she closed her mouth.
She shook her head slowly. "N-nothing."
She looked up into his starry eyes and knew he could see right through her. They were like two pieces of mirrored mirrors.
One showing the world the beauty hidden inside the other, and the other revealing the flaws of the mirror.
Suddenly 𝕱in stopped what he was doing. He stared at her for a few moments before walking toward her.
She was about to get up when he placed a finger gently on her lips.
"Stay here," he whispered in her ear.
Before he left, he gave her another quick peck on the lips. Once he left her alone in the house, Mei laid down on the couch feeling extremely relaxed.
He loves me too! She thought happily. It felt surreal. It was like something out of a story book. Then again... did he say he was the supreme ruler of the multi- what again?
Oh yeah, the multiverse! That's definitely what he meant by that.
