《Flaviera - they're art》Luz

Javiera's mind is somewhere else, Flavia can tell. She can't put her hands on what is painting this concerned, unsteady expression on her face but she can't keep herself from getting worried about it. They are lying in bed now, the dim light on the nightstand still on, Flavia safely held by the inspector's arms. They barely talked about their days, the quest of Mateo is investing Javiera mentally, physically and emotionally but it's a forbidden topic between them, so Flavia stopped asking. She analyzes the face of the woman by her side now, trying her best to get in her shoes, she hates seeing her like this and having no power to help her. There's something else, though, a thought that no matter what Flavia can't push aside. It's a feeling, actually, nothing more, but it's there, digging a hole in her chest: this is not about her job.

Sheltered in the crook of Javiera's neck, Flavia softly brushes Javiera's forearm with the tip of her fingers. The contact always helps both to relax, they could spend the whole night like this, far from the world, in the cozy silence of room 24.

But not tonight.

Tonight Javiera's mind is locked somewhere else and Flavia is trying but she can't ignore that the inspector had lunch with Maira today.

After what felt like hours Javiera takes a deep breath, mirrored by the woman in her arms.

"Quiero volver a la casa." She says and Flavia frowns.

"Es que hable con la Maira" she adds, not sure how to introduce the topic and Flavia tenses by her side.

"¡No, no! No es como piensas, ¡No!" Javiera laughs, suddenly realising how what she said may sound, secretly cursing herself for such a bad choice of words.

"No quiero volver con ella a la casa, es que no puedo vivir en una habitación de hotel para siempre. Hoy quería verme para hablar de esto, de hecho."

"Ella está buscando un apartamento y hasta que lo encuentre puede quedarse con la Rosario, me ha dicho."

Flavia's heartbeat calms down and she sighs, finally looking Javiera in the eyes. She is a little nervous still, Flavia can tell, like she has something else to say but doesn’t know how.

Javiera gulps and looks away, her own behaviour, her own anxiety is nothing short of ridiculous, she is a grown woman and she should be able to let things out. Whatever Flavia will answer it's not going to be a big deal, is it? What's there in this woman that makes her feel like an insecure teenager? She forces herself to look as neutral as possible and knows at this very moment that Flavia isn't buying it, not even for a second.

"Me preguntaba si...tu...si tal vez quieres quedarte conmigo..."

"¿En tu casa?" Flavia asks, a little too quickly to hide her excitement. Not that she would succeed in it anyway, not with the unmistakable sparkle in her eyes.

"Sì, si tu quieres, obvio, no te voy a obligar, claro, no...no" Javiera babbles, cursing herself for not biting her tongue. It is too soon, obviously. With everything that's going on with Dante and Miranda they haven't discussed what they are yet and now she is asking Flavia to live with her?

"podremos buscar otra solución...no tienes que contestar ahora o…" she manages to say before Flavia's lips put her out of her misery. She sinks in the tender vigour of their taste and flutters her eyes shut. When she opens them again she meets the most precious gaze on earth. Flavia is smiling, like she often does when they're alone, maybe a little more. Javiera should start getting used to this look, for her only purpose is seeing it as often as possible, but somehow it always ends up taking her by surprise.

"¿Sì?" The inspector asks, the last pinch of shyness not so hidden in her tone.

"¡Sì!" Flavia says. "Sí, sí, sí, mil veces." she smiles and their lips reunite with growing fervour. Javiera's strong arms hold the other woman's waist and it's the only thing she is conscient of, apart from Flavia's lips and their absurd ability to always awaken her senses, to feed her hunger.

All of a sudden Flavia's back is pressed on the mattress, with a vigour that takes both women by surprise. They break apart flushed and breathing hard. It takes them just one look to give in to a light hearted laugh, their faces no more than a breath away.

"Te amo, Flavia." Javiera lets out, like a too loud thought.

If she thought the smile she saw earlier to be the brightest of all she was wrong. Now all of Flavia's beautiful face is glowing with a light that almost aches, that makes Javiera's cheeks burn in return.

Making love to this woman is too easy, it’s the natural course of events, and Javiera can't help surrendering to it, to her body, to the scent of her naked skin, to her lips and to her lashes, to her tongue, to her fingers, to her soft, reddish curls, to the crystal blue of her eyes, now black with desire. When Flavia smiles Javiera lights-up, when she gasps Javiera holds her breath, when she moans Javiera gets dizzy, like she had too much wine, when she comes Javiera is sure there can never be anything like this in the world. No sunset, no dawn, not the brightest starry night, nor the widest landscape can hold a candle to this, to this woman, to her flushed cheeks and to her chest.
