"Sir..." Wonwoo took a quick glance at his watch before looking back up front, focusing on the rear-view mirror. "It's almost 4 now. Kawasaki Company might be waiting for your presence at our Seoul headquarters."

He sighed with the unmoving gaze towards outside of the car. "Just stay a little longer," he commanded.

She will come out soon, he told himself. She will-

He didn't care about his work regarding the meeting between his company and Japanese client later. It didn't matter to him. It will never be one. He also has no clue why he stills be a President with this continuous reckless behavior. Since he emotionally messed up months ago, Park Legacy seems unimportant to him no more. Why need to worry over it since he still has two more brothers behind. He could just pass down his father's precious business to both of them, to those two assholes who never ever knew how to change.

A few seconds later, his eyes grew bigger and straighten his weak body earlier when he noticed the door he had been staring for hours was opened. He couldn't help but draw the purest smile he ever had when he saw her slowly walking out from that house. She seems struggling with her growing baby bump, making him more worrying about her condition.

I'm worried about you... I want so much to go to you... to hug you, to hear your voice and know that you're okay.

I hope you know that you're never as alone as you may feel... you're always in my thoughts.

7 months ago, he loses her. The last time he saw her was the time she still in his house as he could remember until she decided to escape from him and go to Jungkook instead. Believe it or not, yes, her heart always belongs to that bastard. How bad she was treated, how many times her heart been broken over and over again, she stills going to choose Jungkook at the end.

As much as he enjoys her laughter and personality, he doesn't like the sound of her doubting herself. And that's something else he's going to have to think about later on because the more he gets to know Y/N, the more he starts to understand how she thinks and what makes her thinks that way, the more he starts to realize... this woman is different and could be dangerous...

Weird isn't? He thought she is a wise person with a smart brain. He thought she would take a better decision for her good future... and her children too... He thought she would take Jungkook's hand and stay by his side since she already opened up her truth feelings.

But she didn't.

She left Jungkook.

She left Eva.

She left Mark.

And she left him too.

Why? Why did she leave? Why did she decide to leave and living by herself here? She chose to stay alone in Goesan-gu; a small rural town in North Chungcheong Province- which is so far away from Seoul.

She thought nobody could ever find her here. She was wrong. She was indeed wrong. With a stronger love and growing wistful longing, he managed to find her here after months he was trying. But unfortunately he didn't have any courage to face her now.

Because he was afraid. He was broken. There is nothing more painful than being rejected simply for being who he is. This rejection hurt him terribly because he felt it was his life that was being rejected. For him, it only takes being rejected once for him to never ever ask anyone anything ever again. It does not love that hurts. It is being abandoned, rejected and forsaken that hurts.

Do you know how hard it is to just see you from afar, without you realizing it, trying my best to hide my feelings, act like I don't care, and that I'm fine?

Chanyeol's eyes never ran from her figure. She was happily picking up her dried clothes, her face shown him like she never had any problems before. She was just simply being her living up her life.

I look at you more than you notice. I want you more than you think. I love you more than you know. Maybe one day you will realize it. I'll wait for that day to come. No one loves you the way I do.

"Sir?-

Wonwoo called him again, woke him up from his lost thoughts.

Don't worry too much. The bodyguards are here to protect Miss Y/N." his loyal PA seems like he could see how agonize he is and trying to please his sorrowful heart.

He reached his hand slowly to the window, wishing to touch her right now. "I want to go to her, Wonwoo. How I wish to show myself to her but I can't-

He released a heavy breath, I'm afraid she would run away from me again."

I really can't imagine what I would do if you left my life. When this all started, I never thought I would fall so in love with you, really. Now we're to the point where I am convinced I might hold you alone by myself with no Jungkook and no more Mark will be going to separate us and you might never leave me again. God only knows what I would do if that happened. I planned so much, you know, and I'm counting on this to work out because if it doesn't, I have no idea where to go from there. You've become such a huge part of my life and it feels like this is supposed to happen. I don't want you to just be another lesson in life because you taught me so much more than I never thought I could know. I just really don't want to lose you. Ever.

She rejected him once but that doesn't mean he will give up on winning her heart. Because of he aware he's the only one capable to do many things-for example like this moment. He's the one who only could find her in South Korea while Jungkook and Mark- what both of them could do? Nothing. Those hopeless assholes couldn't do anything with their wealth and power but only mourning and yearning for their own loses.

Whoever came out with the idea to ask him telling the truth to them are really wishing to die. Telling Jungkook the location Y/N is now? Why does he need to tell him? To see Y/N get back to Jungkook one more time? It was like asking for his own death. He won't and never ever will! The grudges he's been holding on since three years ago will never simply disappear from him. Jungkook will never deserve to be with her again even though Chanyeol quite aware her feelings towards her ex-husband. Because he knew, the same mistake is going to happen if he let them to.

Chanyeol unbuttoning his sleeve before folded it up to his elbow while his eyes keep looking the reflection of him through the mirror. He was preparing himself to work.

"Today is the hearing session of divorcement between the most controversial businessman, Jeon Jungkook, President of JK Group and the founder of Sephora and CEO of JK Beauty, Jennie Kim. They decided to end their three years of marriage for a reason they are no longer have feelings one another. Jeon Jungkook and Jennie Kim did not have any child together, leaving JK Group with one and only heiress, Eva Eun Yeong Jeon, Jeon Jungkook's three years old daughter with his previous wife, Y/F/N...."

He quickly turned off the television before tying up his necktie while smirking. That bastard is going to divorce today but his stupid wife still can't manage to swallow JK Motors for him. If he knew Jennie Kim was not capable to do errand like this, he wouldn't choose her in the first place to ruin Jungkook and Y/N's marriage. He was still mad at her because of choosing Mark as her trick, ending up Y/N with that brainless President of Raymond Hotel.

"Sir! Sir!" he heard Wonwoo shouted, calling him from downstairs. He sounded panicky and anxious somehow. Why would Wonwoo come to Sky House early in the morning instead of meeting him at the office later on? Not long after that, he saw Wonwoo in his room, looking exhausted and making him wonder what problems might be coming right now.

"Miss Y/N had been kidnapped this morning, sir-

Wonwoo told him, breathless. This sudden news gave him a terrible shock. But how? He thought his person took charge of guarding her all the time and nothing beats than his Park Security bodyguards. He chose the best out of the best for this whole team.

"What are you talking about? Kidnap? Who kidnaps her?" he became panic and almost collapses to his knees.

"The whole Park Legacy bodyguards and Park Security itself betrays you now, sir-

He interrupted impatiently, "What?!"

"Your brother ordered them to take her to Seoul this morning by using your name."

His eyes were burnt in rage, his jaw rooted, his face turned scarlet and he balled his hands into fists. Jinyoung! He knew his second brother was all behind this and now it became clearer why their divorcement was held today. It was a death trap for Jungkook. Chanyeol had no idea whether they came after for Jungkook or Y/N exactly but what he knew the safety of Y/N might in danger.

He has to meet Jinyoung right now! He needs to stop whatever stupid plan Jinyoung might be planning with Jennie and rescue her. He needs to rescue her whatever it takes!

"Find Jinyoung right now! As soon as possible!" he commanded furiously.

Wonwoo nodded, understood much what his leader wants. "Sir, for your information, one of the bodyguards informed me about their plan are-

Chanyeol turned his face, looking at Wonwoo seriously. It will make the things easier if he knew a little bit what their plan is.

They have planned to get rid of Miss Y/N in front of Mr. Jeon."

His eyes grew bigger, leaving him more shock. Did they choose to kill Y/N instead of Jungkook? She's pregnant for the god sake! They wanted to kill her who is still fighting with her own pregnancy. No! No! No! He needs to save her right before they pursuing what their plan is.

"I need a whole squad right now! We need to save her no matter what!" he raised his voice and his muscle tensed up.

"That's what I'm more afraid, sir. We do not have any squad left whether in Park Legacy and Park Security. They all have betrayed you now, sir, and choose to follow your brother's order. We don't have any backup team to fight them. They are too many."

What Wonwoo told him just now really had knocked him down. As a President, he felt betray and this betrayal really pain in the neck. How should he save her without harming her? That was too impossible. Coming there alone really like asking for her own death. Jinyoung could pull the trigger heartlessly if he saw Chanyeol trying to save her. He needs to come out with a smart plan as soon as possible!

"Get me that informant right now! And call Dr. Han too. I need to see him."

Dr. Han explained, making him more doubting to pursue his plan. It might threaten her life but Chanyeol left no choice but to make Jinyoung's plan success in their eyes. For what he knew that he needs to act fast because it will risk her life and the baby.

"Doc, if there's any chance to be shot at the certain place except the stomach? We need to show them that she is really dead but not. We need to make sure she will survive the gunshot no matter what." He begged Dr. Han.

He is not an expert. That's why he's been asking a lot of questions regarding his plan. Because he was afraid his plan might really be killed her soon.

"Chest." Three of them looked at Dr. Han who pointed his finger at his chest.

"Close to the heart and lungs. You should shoot her later up right here so that the bullet wouldn't touch both of these important organs..." Dr. Han keeps explaining to the bodyguard who will show up in Jinyoung's plan later on. This bodyguard the one who gave information to Wonwoo, this loyal man who wouldn't betray Park Legacy because of Jinyoung's money. The two faced bodyguard.

"And remember, if there's an open bullet wound in the chest cavity, it's important that you try to prevent any air getting sucked into it. Otherwise, the victim may suffer tension pneumothorax, or a collapsed lung, cutting breathing capability in half. The best way to plug the hole is with some form of occlusive dressing. This can be petrolatum, gauze from a first aid kit, or something improvised, like tape or plastic. Whatever you use, it needs to provide a total seal, so absorbent materials like standard gauze pads will not work."

Chanyeol quickly interrupted, looking at Dr. Han was way too much taking time."We should prepare it. So doc, how many chances she's going to survive?"

"Even so, gunshot victims have a surprisingly high survival rate. Assuming you're not shot directly in the heart or brain have about an 80 to 95% chance of survival; 95% chance if you get to the hospital with your heart beating. But in this case, the victim will be having bradycardia which means slow heart rates and we had to left her for a couple of minutes just to show them she was really dead later, I'm afraid it will lead her to critical condition, sir. When a pregnant woman experiences bradycardia, it can have negative consequences for her health and that of her unborn baby."

Hearing what Dr. Han just explained to him was really terrifying him. Bradycardia could be dangerous for her since she is a pregnant woman. It might threaten both of her and the baby lives. Would his plan work out or not? This plan is so fucking insane but he got no other choice because no matter how many people he tried to gather, the police, hired a hitman or even special agent, it just buys them too many time. And he surely didn't have plenty of time left.

"You heard him. Before anyone could shoot her, you need to act fast!" Chanyeol instructed the bodyguard he hired.

"And remember, shoot her at the right place. Here!" he pointed his finger at his worker's chest. The bodyguard nodded seriously.

"Make sure it doesn't go to her heart. If you succeed this mission, the Park Security leader position is waiting for you." He said, baiting him with something worthy of sacrifice.

I'm sorry, Y/N... I have to do this... I didn't mean to kill you... Just please survive this gunshot... I know you are a strong woman...

He heard the loud firing sound from the downstairs. And he knew what is already happened above. A moment ago, he heard she was begging to Jungkook, crying. And right now, he heard nothing but only Jungkook's mourn towards her. A few moment later, he saw Jinyoung and Jennie with all of his bodyguards went out from the room, shamelessly happy.

Of course, he was mad, but this is not the right moment to take any revenge. Y/N's life was on the line right now! Chanyeol and Dr. Han followed by Wonwoo behind quickly headed into the room where kept the injured Y/N and Jungkook.

Dr. Han went to the unconsciously Y/N and checked her heart rate. Meanwhile, Chanyeol just freezes, open mouthed, wide-eyed, staring through blurry tears perched ready to fall the moment he blinks. Y/N was bathed in the blood silently. Like she was really gone.

He can't move. He can't think. He can't breathe. It's like he has been punched in the chest. The pain is so overwhelming it literally takes his breath away.

"Sir-

He broke his gaze from her and looking at Dr. Han. Anxious arose as he's been waiting for this doctor's answer whether she survived or not. Looking at Dr. Han nodded to him, it was a signal that she was surviving for now. He needs to send her to the hospital before she's going to lose more of her blood.

"How is she?" Jungkook asked Dr. Han, frustrated with his tears keep streaming on his face.

"The girl you love is gone now, Jungkook." Chanyeol lied. "She's dead."

"NO! No, tell me you're not baby. Please don't leave me and Eva, please Y/N... please..." he saw Jungkook continuously crying while hugging her weak body making Chanyeol more frustrated. Like he must to save her right now but how he should making Jungkook believe that Y/N already gone now?

"Stop Jungkook! We need to save this baby as soon as possible! We got no time now." he told Jungkook seriously making him stop and looking at Chanyeol with an unreadable stare.

But then Jungkook looked down again. "I promise her to save this child. Y/N, don't worry. I'm going to save our child so that he could live and know what her mother has sacrificed for him."

"How is she, doctor? Is she alive?"

Chanyeol looked at Mark who extremely anxious about her condition. Looking at Dr. Han shook his head, he knew Dr. Han just lying to both of Mark and Jungkook.

He felt like he has been through a war. Like he is on a battlefield somewhere left for dead with his entrails spilled out in front of him. He cannot hold himself together. He was in shock. He was falling apart... holding pieces of himself in his hands and not knowing what to do with them. But it doesn't matter on every piece on him. What matter are pieces of her.

I've destroyed you.

And I don't know how I can possibly piece yourself back together knowing that I just command to kill you.

After he left alone without Jungkook and Mark anymore, he went into the operation room where still hold Y/N's weak body. The sound of ventilator machine that helps her to breathe since she was having difficulties to breathe after the gunshot incident keeps hovering across the room.

"How is she, Doc?"

He heard Dr. Han sighing. "I will be saying she's in the state fifty-fifty. Just let's hope she will manage to go through her critical condition and wake up soon."

I'm sorry Y/N... I'm the one who kills you... I'm the one who pulls the trigger on you... There's so many ways just to save you... but I'm sorry, I had chosen this one...

So he lets himself cries. He lets all his grief and resentment to himself because he's the one that needs to take all the blame. Jinyoung wouldn't turn out like this if he had been a good brother to him. If only he knows that how much Jinyoung loves that girl, he would help him go against his father's will.

So that Jinyoung wouldn't turn out to be a murderer.

"Move her." He said, letting the salty tears into his mouth.

"What do you mean, sir?" Dr. Han asked in confusion.
