《Psychedelic | Vinnie Hacker》Five.

I woke up to the sun shining it's light in my eyes. It was a sunny day in the city, which was better than what it had been, rain and thunder.

I spent the last few days taking care of myself, which meant I hadn't been to work since Tuesday. It was a nice break, but today I had no option but to go back.

Vinnie hadn't spoken to me. I told him I'd be waiting, whenever it was that he was ready, and I hadn't heard from him since then. It had me worried, but I knew I shouldn't care.

I forced myself out of bed, feeling a pounding headache erupt. "Fuck." I muttered, knowing this wasn't going to be a good day.

I slipped on a black pencil skirt with a mesh black top, pairing it with my favorite black stilettos. It felt nice to dress up again, I guess.

Swiping on a bit of mascara, I was finally starting to feel better. I hadn't done myself up in days, and my self esteem was still at an all-time low.

The scratches on my face haven't quite healed, but that's just another problem I don't have the time to think about.

"I made you some eggs and bacon." Amelia said, popping her head into the door. I nodded and gave her a light smile, she was trying.

We were much better than how we were a few days ago, but it didn't change the fact that she went behind my back. I was still hurt, but I was going to let it go soon.

"So.. are you nervous for today?" She asked as I sat down at the counter.

I bit my lip, she knew. "How could I not be?"

"I'm sure Vinnie is just giving you some space. Don't over think it like last time."

I knew she was right. Vinnie and I had a heart to heart the last time we spoke, and I don't see why he would suddenly change.

"I'm going there to work, not to flirt." I said, knowing I was lying straight through my teeth.

It was nice finally being able to stand talking to Amelia again. I felt so alone, and like I had no one but myself.

"I know, just watch yourself." She said, spreading butter on her toast. I nodded, getting up from my seat, giving her a quick hug goodbye.

_________

I arrived to the office, my nerves peeling with anxiety. It was 7:30am, meaning I had at least a half an hour to myself.

My heels clicked against the marble floor, drawing attention towards me. I cursed myself, wishing I had worn something less grabbing.

"Thank god you're back, you bitch." I heard Sebastian say as I walked in.

I smiled, noticing the box on my desk. My smile almost immediately faded away, remembering the events from just a few days ago.

Sitting down, I moved the box onto my lap and began unpacking whatever I threw into it. I grabbed the picture frame of my Mom and I, a slight tear falling from my eye.

I shrugged it off, unpacking the rest of my things, then getting to the to-do list that was placed on my desk.

(1) Make dinner reservations at Semilla for Michelle and I for 8:00

I furrowed my eyebrows. Michelle? Maybe taking a few days off from work wasn't the best idea, after all.

"Psst. Sebastian, who's Michelle?" I whispered, hoping not to draw too much attention to myself.

He smirked. "Boss's girl. She's been here the past few days, maybe she'll drop by today."

I nodded, biting my lip, refraining from crying in any way, shape, or form. It must be the elevator girl, if I'm assuming.

I began dialing the number to the restaurant Vinnie requested. "Hi, can I please make a reservation for Mr. Hacker at 8:00?"

"It would be an honor to have Mr. Hacker at our fine establishment. May I ask who accompanying him?" The hostess asked.

"Michelle. I'm not sure of the last name." I said, chewing viciously on my lips.

She sighed in jealousy. "What a lucky girl. I would kill to have a piece of-"

"Yeah. Anyway, reservation for 8:00. No earlier, no later. Thanks." I said, cutting her off, then slamming the phone back into its nook.

I could barely comprehend why I was feeling the way I was. Vinnie never established that he would stop seeing her, so I shouldn't of assumed that he would.

Taking a lone pen that was sitting on my desk, I checked off the first task. Probably the most hurtful one, too.

"Good morning, Sebastian." I heard Boss say as he entered the office. He looked at me, turning away before walking straight into his office, locking the doors.

I pursed my lips, holding back from slamming my fist on his office doors and telling him off.

"Yikes, that must've killed." Sebastian said, shaking his head while looking at me.

"Oh, fuck off dammit. I don't care." I sneered, getting back to the work I had to do.

Truth is, it did bother me. And whether or not I said it did, everyone knew it too. Especially after they all witnessed my complete breakdown in front of him the other day.

I couldn't believe I wasn't completely mortified of it, either. I accepted the fact that I lost my shit in front of everyone.

"I know you care." Sebastian responded minutes later. I rolled my eyes, flipping him off.

Sebastian and I were close, yes, but his attitude ever since he suspected something between me and boss was uncalled for. He wasn't close enough to me to know the details of my sex life.

"Sebastian, . It's none of your business." I commanded, staring daggers at him. He put his hands up in surrender, proceeding to type away.

Would quitting this job really be the worst idea? Probably not. I took out my phone, texting Amelia.

Not even here for an hour and I'm already losing my goddamn mind :')

Did Vinnie show up?

Yeah, and he hasn't said one word to me. I had to make dinner reservations for him and a 'Michelle'

He seriously had you make reservations for a date? What a scum bag.

So when should I quit?

Quit? Why are you gonna quit?

If I'm going to be treated like this than what's the point?

"What could be more important on your phone than the work you have to do here?" Boss said, grabbing my phone and reading the messages.

Privacy much?

"Oh." He murmured, handing me my phone with a look of disappointment on his face.

I rolled my eyes. "Yeah, that's what you get for snooping." I sneered, putting my phone into my purse.

"Is there something we need to speak about?" He asked, raising a brow.

I pursed my lips. "Nope." I said, popping the 'p'. "Oh, wait! Yes. I made your reservation for 8:00 for you and your whore." I continued, smiling up at him.

His eyes widened, I could tell he was furious. Everyone in the office stared at us, completely distracted from their work.

"My office, ." He commanded. I rolled my eyes, getting up and walking into his office. He came in shortly after me, slamming the door and locking it.

He hovered over me, breathing slow and steady. Our eyes locked on one another, we were both too stubborn to be the one to talk first.

I crossed my arms, pursing my lips. If he thought I was going to be the one to speak first, he was damn wrong.

Leaning in closer to me, he smashed his lips onto mine. This was like a de ja vu to the very first time he asked me in here, but if I were honest, I was glad this was happening.

I kissed back, wrapping my arms around his neck, pulling him closer to me. The kiss deepened, his tongue swiping my lip, asking for permission.

His arms snaked around my waist, pulling at the hem of shirt. I nodded, and before I knew it I was half naked in front of my boss.

He began leaving wet kisses around and down my neck as I fumbled with the buttons on his shirt. He growled, ripping the shirt open, the buttons flying everywhere.

That was so fucking hot.

I took my hands and lifted his head, reconnecting our lips. My fingers tangled up in his hair, moaning whenever I pulled him closer.

His finger lining the top of my skirt, he disconnected our lips, looking at me for approval.

"Please." I pleaded, needing more of him.

He picked me up, my legs wrapping around his torso, and laid me down on his desk. He ripped off my skirt, biting his lip at the sight of me completely naked.

With his finger he traced my curves, placing kisses all up and down my body. I shivered at his touch.

I pushed him up, never breaking eye contact with him as I undid his belt. I bit my lip, throwing it across the room. He smirked as I pulled down his pants, admiring his... size.

He pushed me down, kissing me as he entered me. I threw my head back in pleasure, trying to adjust. He dipped his head into my neck, leaving hickies all around it.

"." I commanded, feeling him press into me. I bit my lip, my nails digging into his back.

He thrusted hard and fast, our bodies glistening with a light layer of sweat. The feeling of our skin, pressed against one another's, was a feeling I never wanted to leave.

I arched my back and curled my toes, only for Vinnie to push my stomach down. His thrusts were getting sloppier, and I knew his high was coming, as was mine.

"Fuck, Luna." He muttered as he gripped onto my waist.

I moaned in pleasure, closing my eyes and thrusting my head back. Feeling the pressure build-up in my stomach, I pulled on his hair, kissing him.

Before I knew it, our highs both came and we were now sitting there, breathless, admiring each other.

"That was..." Vinnie began, "Amazing." I said, finishing for him. He chuckled, giving me a cheeky smile. I smiled back, giving him one last kiss before getting up.

"Where are you going?" He whimpered, trying to pull me back into him.

I giggled. "I have a job to do, boss." I said, winking. He bit his lip, I knew that would get him.

I began slipping my clothes back on, the thought of Michelle lingering in the back of my mind. It's not that I forgot, but at that moment I had a temporary lapse. I doubt he was going to stop seeing her.

"Anyway, if I don't see you before the workday ends, have fun at your dinner." I smiled, giving him a light kiss. He bit his lip, holding me close to him. He was affectionate and caring, something I hadn't particularly seen in him before. I furrowed my eyebrows as my head was nuzzled into his chest.

What was going on?

_________

It was 8:00 pm, and I was sitting here on my couch, raging with jealousy. Meanwhile, I was the one who had sex with him today... Although I'm sure they're going to be doing the same thing later.

"I can't believe Vinnie saw our texts from earlier." Amelia said, trying to hold herself back from laughing.

I chuckled. "Mel, you can laugh. I felt like an idiot... Even though we ended up have sex on his desk."

"You " She screeched, almost throwing her pizza slice across the room.

"Not my finest moment, but I couldn't help it." I replied, slightly embarrassed by my actions.

She put her hand on her heart. "Oh, honey, I'm not disappointed. I'm proud! You two need each other. It was obvious."

I put my plate down, staring at her. "What do you mean it was 'obvious'?"

"Luna, what girl has he ever had that wasn't for a business deal?" She sneered, taking a bite out of her pizza.

"Michelle." I muttered, scoffing at the thought.

Amelia chuckled. "Oh, please, the blonde bimbo that lives on the fourth floor? There's truly no way." She said, confidence dripping from her voice.

"I saw the way he said goodbye to her, there's no way it's just for a business deal." I retorted.

"Alright, fine. But when it comes out that she is, in fact, for a business deal, I will be here to say that I told you so." She mocked, getting up to grab another slice of pizza.

I rolled my eyes, beginning to get lost in thought. Maybe for once, I should have faith in Vinnie. After the moments we shared, I don't think he would lead me on.

It didn't feel right that she lived in our building. It was like, at any time, I could run into her and Vinnie... just like I did the other day.

"And, you know, we could always spy on them if you want." Mel said, winking, before plopping on the couch again.

"You're insane." I said, knowing I would totally do it if I had the chance.

"Oh come on, don't act like Vinnie wouldn't send out some hit guy towards Jonah if he ever saw you two together." She mocked, turning on the tv.

She wasn't wrong. Although I wasn't quite sure of the type of work Vinnie was involved in, I knew it involved violence. There were day's where he'd come in with a bloody nose, or a black eye. It frightened me a bit, but I knew he knows what he gets himself into.

"You know, we could always ask Marcello to keep an eye out for us." She continued.

I chuckled. Marcello was the doorman to our building whom Amelia and I bonded with the first day we moved in. Since then, Marcello has gone above and beyond doing things for us because out of everyone in the building, we tip the most and treat him the best.

I bit my lip. "I know Marcello would do it, but do you really think that's the best idea?" I asked, not sure if I want to be the crazy stalker type.

"I don't see why not, you know if he found out the shit Vinnie was doing to you he'd flip." She replied. I nodded, I knew she was right.

I got up putting my dirty dish in the sink, before wrapping up the food.

"Fine, but let me sleep on it." I said, returning to my room.

I collapsed onto my bed, covering my face with a pillow. Groaning, my mind was spiralling between the fact that Vinnie and Michelle were most likely doing it right now, while I'm planning a secret spy mission against the both of them.

I wonder how this will turn out.
