It had been a few days since you and Draco had broken up, and you were avoiding him as best you could. But today you had Potions in which you sat next to him. You quickly sat down, facing away from him

"Y/n can we please talk."

He seemed so genuinely upset, but you just couldn't face him yet.

"Not now Malfoy."

His heart broke a little at your remark. He then left you alone for the remainder of the class with a sad expression on his face. After the class ended, you quickly gathered your things and decided to go outside, unaware that Draco was following you.

"Y/n will you just listen for five minutes please!"

Draco seemed desperate, so you decided to listen to him.

"Merlin Draco what do you want!"

He was quite taken aback but then asked

"Why are you so upset y/n?"

You were very angry for a second, then realized that Draco was unaware of your crush and technically had done nothing wrong. Your eyes softened and you told him

"I don't know. I'm sorry Draco, let's just be friends?"

Draco was hoping you'd say something else, but seemed happy with your response and said

"Yeah sounds good"

Then he had to go. You sat on a bench and sighed to yourself. You were unaware that Blaise and Pansy had listened to your conversation, as you could now see them snogging by a tree. You were sort of jealous that her love life was better than yours, but you were happy for your best friend and chuckled while yelling

"Oh get a room you two!"

You began to laugh when you saw how red they turned. Then you decided to go.

"Finally she's gone. Can you actually believe what they were saying Blaise! They're so in love we need to do something! Everyone thinks that they hate each other now!"

"We can't Pansy! Do you not remember what happened last time! I'm only gonna help if they ask."

"I guess I'll do the same then."

They then walked to class together.

After class...

You were sitting in the Slytherin common room with Blaise, Pansy, and Draco. You noticed that Draco kept blushing at you. You were curious as to if he liked you as much as you like him.

Draco's POV

We were all sitting and chatting in the common room and I couldn't stop staring at her. She was just wearing a simple t-shirt and shorts but she looked gorgeous. Her beautiful green eyes sparkled every time she was happy about something which made me smile. I also noticed that she blushed every time I spoke to her. Maybe she liked me back?

"Well Pansy and I are gonna head up to our room. Goodnight!"

You and Pansy headed to your shared room.

"Do you think Draco likes me?"

You blurted out without thinking. Pansy smirked and said

"Of course he does! You should go for it!"

"I can't. What if he doesn't like me, and you're wrong?"

"Well how about you wait a while. If you still get the feeling he likes you, go for it. If you don't, then just leave it. And who knows maybe he'll try something."

This seemed like good advice. Then you both decided to sleep.

"Blaise I get the feeling that she likes me too!"

Draco was all excited.

"Go for it bro!"

"No. I've another plan to test if she likes me."

He then proceeded to tell Blaise his plan.

"Seems like a sure way to find out"

"Just don't tell Pansy"

"It's your plan bro I won't say anything"

Then the two of them decided to sleep as well.
