This one girl. The one girl who always ended up getting the best of him.

He wanted the gorgeous girl. He wanted her so bad. He just couldn't get her. He knew once he had her, he wouldn't be able to let her go.

He would want her all for himself.

He almost lost himself. He almost kissed her, again. He almost gave her a chance. If she knew what he had done. If she knew how much of a bad person he was.

That's why he was so rude to her. To prove to her that he was bad. She had to know what she was getting herself into.

They were currently on a private plane back to America. The bounty was still on, but he figured out it was only in this country, so they had to move back as soon as possible.

He was currently in deep thought. His mind flew back to his mother. He took out his wallet and saw the picture he had tucked away of her.

"No, don't kill Mommy, please," young Giovanni whined at the man who had his mother in a chokehold.

He attacked his mother. He forced himself into the house and attacked his father.

He watched. All Giovanni could do was watch. His tear was stricken babyface. He didn't understand what was happening.

"No, you're hurting her, stop it," he tried to stop the intruder. He tried to save her, but he failed.

He should've saved her. He should've done something.

He just stood there cowardly.

He removed his hands from her throat and took out a gun. He froze in a paralysis.

He was very little. He couldn't do anything against this fully grown guy.

His father wasn't even around. He was out getting drunk and ruining his life. Giovanni didn't know that at the time, of course. He thought he would do anything for his family. He thought he was the protector. If he was, he would've protected his wife that night.

"Please," he cried. His body racked with sobs.

The man placed the gun underneath her chin. The woman's cries wailed through Giovanni's ears and he screamed in agony, by her heart-wrenching screams.

The gunshot rang through the air. He plugged his ears as it reverberated in his brain. He recoiled from the scene.

Cold tears falling down his wide eyes.

That was when he lost himself.

That was when he knew he had to avenge her.

The man just said to the petrified little boy. "Your fathers next."

He never killed his father, though. He ran off when his older brother, Vincenzo called the police. The police sirens caused him to freeze.

His mother was dead.

She was murdered.

He saw it. He witnessed it.

He did nothing.

He attacked never got caught either. He got away from killing Giovanni's mother.

He got away with murder.

Not for long, Giovanni would track him down when he was older. Giovanni would get him back, he deserved the chance to protect potentially anyone else.

Until he was too late with Chanel's mother.

She was dead, too.

He got snapped out of his thoughts when Tobias kicked the back of his seat. He grumbled in response, irritation through his tone.

"Are you okay, dude?" He asked with concern. He had been zoning out for a while.

"I'm fine," he snarled.

"Okay," Tobias raised his hands in surrender. "No need to go all Batman on my ass."

He put away his wallet and ignored the pit in his stomach. He hadn't felt anything in a long time. Now, since Chanel can win his life, he seemed to be feeling more and it annoyed him.

He couldn't be losing himself. He still had to be the scary crime boss, he was.

There was just something about her that made him want to lose himself.

Every time he's with Amelia or any other girl, it felt wrong to him. It felt like he was dishonest to Chanel. They weren't together and he knew she doesn't want anything to do with him, but it felt like he was cheating on a girl he hasn't even dated yet.

It confused him, the feeling he had. As much as he doesn't want to admit it, it scared him. It scared him to open up to someone, to show weakness. The weakness he tried so hard to hide from the world.

He wasn't sure if he could open up to her. He wasn't sure he could trust someone. If he were to trust someone, it would most likely be her.

She was the one he wanted to have a future with.

The girl he kidnapped.

That sounded crazy to him, that would be wrong. Everything he wanted to do to her was wrong.

Everything he had done was wrong and he wished he could go back and not do it. He wished he hadn't kidnapped her that night.

He just didn't want her going to tell everyone. He didn't want to risk it.

"There's an enemy on the plane," Luke mentioned. Giovanni grumbled in

The plane suddenly bumped and Chanel jumped in fright. She was starting to panic. She hated the turbulence the plane would make.

Little did she know it wasn't turbulence. It was a disturbance within one of Giovanni's enemies.

Screams were sounding throughout the plane and everyone was starting to freak out.

"Testing, testing, one, two, three," the speaker spoke. "This is your captain speaking," the voice was familiar to Giovanni. It had the same gloomy voice. The guy just started to laugh, it was dark and humourless.

Giovanni knew who it was. His father.

"Can my son and his girlfriend come to the cockpit? We've got some catching up to do," he said, grimly. "If they don't every single person on the plane will die."

Giovanni immediately got out of his seat and grabbed Chanel. Her hands were shaking and her shoulders were trembling.

"What's a cockpit?" She asked in a quiet voice.

"The place where the pilot sits," he explained, grumpily. He was angry that his father decided to show up.

He didn't get along with his family that well. He wanted to get away from them.

"What is he going to do?" She asked again. They walked past the aisles of frantic people and went into the first-class section.

"Enough with the questions," he snapped. Chanel kept her mouth closed.

Once they arrived in the flight deck, Giovanni saw his father, holding a gun to the pilot's head. His father was holding onto the intercom and grinned, evilly.

He placed the intercom down and said to the pilot, harshly. "Keep flying the plane." The pilot gave a curt nod and was quaking in fear.

"Come give you father a hug," he smiled.

"Cut the shit, father. What do you want?" Giovanni spoke, firmly.

"Well, recently there was a bounty out for the man's daughter who killed my wife," he said. Chanel's face paled and Giovanni held a cold stare. "Does it ring any bells?"

Giovanni seethed his teeth together as anger penetrated through his body. "That was you."

"Of course it was me." He snickered. "It's time to get back at the man two killed my wife."

"I already did. You're late, as always," he growled.

"Is this about that night?"

"Everything is about that night, you went out to get drunk while Mom was being murdered," he shouted. He was waiting to let out his anger at his father. He had never been able to stick up to his father.

He always had to suck up to him and do everything he told him to. Giovanni was scared of his father, but if he does anything to Chanel he won't be scared to do anything for her.

"Exactly, which is why you need to give her to me," Giovanni's father, Pierro De Luca said. He used to be the leader of the Mafia, but Giovanni took over it since he retired.

Giovanni stared at the scared girl he was holding hands with. She pleaded with her eyes for him not to do it, but he pushed her towards Pierro.

"No!" She exclaimed. She grabbed onto Giovanni's muscular arm and clutched onto it. Giovanni groaned and tried to get her tiny hands from off of him. "Please, Giovanni, don't give me to him."

"Figlio Mio, do the right choice, I'll still give you the money. You'll be millions of dollars richer," Pierro tried to convince him to give her to him. (My Son)

He knew his father, he knew he wouldn't let her go. He would torture her, then kill her. His father was living with the grief of his wife, he wouldn't let it go. He wouldn't stop until he felt better about himself.

"You can't do this," Chanel begged. Giovanni pushed her closer and tugged on her hand to ply it off.

"Yes, I can, all you've been to me was a burden since the beginning, princess," Giovanni conveyed.

Chanel's bottom lip quivered and her eyes watered. He was going to give her to his father who seemed angry. She didn't want to go with an angry old man. She would rather go with the handsome young man who wears the same scowl and got mad at everything.

"No! Please, I-I want to stay with you," she beseeched. Pierro came to grab her with his rough hands, but she just held onto Giovanni tighter.

"You don't always get what you want," Giovanni growled in annoyance.

She scoffed. "Yes, I do, I do and I don't want to go with him, please, Giovanni, please," she carped.

"Quit whining, you sound just like your father," Pierro barked at her.

"No, I don't!" She contended. Pierro pulled her to him and she released her compacted grip off Giovanni.

"Get your crusty, old hands off me," she clamoured. She struggled against him.

He just roughly pulled her to him.

"I thought she meant something to you, Figlio," Pierro mentioned. (Son)

She thought she did too, but it looked like she was wrong. He couldn't care less.

"She doesn't mean anything," he said, casually.

Her heart stung at his words. How could he say something like that as if it was nothing?

"That's a shame, she's quite a looker, you would've gotten yourself someone beautiful and worth fucking," Pierro tutted. "Guess I'll have her to myself."

Chanel's face showed a look of disgust. Was that what people thought of her?

Giovanni felt the blood boiling in his veins. He hated the words he was saying about Chanel, but he knew if he cracked now it would ruin the rest of his plan.

Chanel began to panic. Her mind was racing at many things that Pierro meant. She felt disgusting, violated. She shivered in distaste.

There were tears in her eyes and she was pathetically hoping Giovanni would save her. She knew he meant nothing to him, but she hoped he would have a little bit of sympathy left for her.

She knew he must've been fed up with her. She knew she had been troubling and a bit of work, but he was the one who kidnapped her. She was mostly in danger because of him, the least he could do was help her.

Giovanni waited for the right time to attack. He waited for the perfect chance to get the girl out of his father's grip.

Giovanni swiftly whipped out his gun and shot his old man in the arm. Pierro bemoaned in pain and clutched onto his shoulder. His hold released from Chanel's and she ran towards Giovanni.

"You fucker," he shouted at his son. Pierro took out his gun and shot a bullet. This time the bullet hit the wall beside them. His aim was off because of his injured arm.

He tried to shoot again, but they vanished out of the cockpit before he had a chance to hit them.

"We have to get out of the plane," Giovanni grumbled.

Chanel stared at him like he was outrageous. How were they going to get out of a moving plane.

They made it back to the rest of the gang sitting in the plane seats. They all had responsive looks on their face as they stared at them.

"What happened? What did he want?" Tobias asked. His eyes were wide.

"We need to get out of here," Giovanni said.

His head was going to explode with all the pressure and stress he was dealing with.

His father abruptly made his way towards them. They immediately went the other way. All of them running away from him.

"Grae, you've been training to become a pilot, right?" Luke asked.

Grae nodded, his eyes held disinterest.

"Go land the plane," Luke said. "I'll distract Giovanni's father and Tobias, you will get the people safely informed about the plane, okay?" Luke set the rules impact.

"What do we do?" Chanel asked.

"Make sure to stay alive."

Luke had always been the smart one. Usually Giovanni was the intelligent one, but his mind was fully distracted by everything that had happened today.

Grae went to the cockpit once Luke approached Pierro.

Grae shot the pilot in the head and he toppled off the pilot seat. He let out a bloodcurdling scream before falling over.

Grae took over his place in the seat. He stared at all the buttons and his head buzzed with many different instructions he had read in the pilot manuals he had.

Once he got all the buttons in line, he drove the plane to the closest stop. There were almost in New York, they were landing just outside Chicago.

Grae was nervous and his hands were shaking, but he got a hand of it.

Luke approached Pierro, he placed his arms on his chest.

"Luke," he grumbled his name. His voice sounded displeasing.

"Ah, Mr. De Luca, funny running into you," Luke chuckled. His laugh was false and dry.

Pierro wrapped his arm with his shirt and tried to stop the bleeding from the bullet his own son shot at him.

Luke placed his hands on Giovanni's father's shoulders and Pierro howled in pain.

Luke quickly retracted his hands, mumbling coherent apologies. Than something lit in his head and he placed his hands back, earning another scream from Pierro.

He eventually fought back and Pierro threw a punch to Luke's face. Luke was taken aback, but he threw another punch to his face. If it would distract him then it would work.

Tobias was running through aisles, informing them of the slight disturbance about to happen.

Chanel was standing in shock, replaying what just happened while Giovanni was sitting in the seat, craning his arm over his head in frustration.

Chanel sat beside him.

"Thank you for saving me all those times," she told him, quietly.

He glared at her. He was annoyed that he felt the need to save her. He was annoyed that everything he told himself was falling apart and slipping through his fingers.

He grunted in acknowledgement. That was all he had answered her with.

"I'm trying to appreciate you here, the least you could do is talk to me," she snarked at him.

His eyes narrowed at him and his scowl deepened.

"Don't go thinking just because I saved you from getting potentially killed that anything is going to change between us. I'm not good for you, get it through that little head of yours," he growled at her.

She rolled her eyes. "You don't always have to be so cold and an asshole, you know. You're always cranky, but I think it's just because your old."

"I'm not old," he grumbled. "I'm three years older than you."

"Whatever," she mumbled. "You really scared me, I thought you were going to let him take me."

Giovanni looked at the girl who was on the verge of tears. She couldn't help, but let her mind race off potential things that could have happened to her.

"You would really miss me that much, princess?" He smirked. His lips curled up into a smug smile and Chanel stared at him.

"I don't know," she shrugged her shoulders. "You are always so rude."

He knew that he was. He knew that he was awful to her, but he didn't want her to realize how much of a coward he really was. He was a notorious and fearless he had to be otherwise no one would take him seriously.

He couldn't let his fears take over.

The plane suddenly started to jump in the air and Chanel almost landed in Giovanni's lap. Giovanni tensed as Chanel sat on his knee.

She looked up into his eyes and he stared down at her. His face tensed and his jaw locked. Her eyes glimmered as she glared deeply at his.

He had beautiful eyes to her.

She had beautiful eyes to him.

The plane bumped again and she clutched onto Giovanni with fear. Giovanni glanced out the window and noticed they were slowing heading towards the ground.

"Okay, everyone out in your seatbelts," Tobias announced. Everyone expeditiously put on their seatbelts and the plane was inclining onto the ground.

They didn't care where they were they needed to get off the plane.

"Once we land, everyone get to your locations and go on with your day like nothing happened," Tobias primed.

The plane landed and everyone rushed to exit the plane. Once everyone was safely off.

Grae came out from the flight deck and met with Tobias. Giovanni and Chanel approached them and stood beside them.

Luke limped down the aisle. "We have a slight problem," he muttered. Luke's leg was bleeding and there was a gun wound in it.

Pierro soon came behind Luke, he was still clutching onto his wounded shoulder.

There was sticking sound throughout the airplane. Luke led them all of the plane and they ran further away from the aircraft. It was about to blow.

Pierro had lost a lot of blood. He was also old and had a high blood pressure. He collapsed into the plane aisle and as soon as they were out of sight from the plane.

It blew up, an explosion was seen throughout the trees.

His father was not with them, not following behind. He was still in the airplane. He got blew up with the bits of the plane left.

Giovanni stared back at the fire and smoke coming from the distance of where the plane had landed.

They were in America.

And they all made it alive.
