《Gang Leader's Princess ✓》xxiv.

We boarded the plane and I still didn't know the plan that the gang had made.
I had my own plan to get my father, but I didn't think any of it through. I made that when I was in a bad place. It wouldn't have worked.
The plane took off and I gripped onto the seat. I have never been anywhere before, but New York. I gulped down my ball of nerves and tried to focus on something else.
"Are you okay?" I heard a soft voice from beside me. There was a guy sat beside me and he had a British accent, which made all my worries about the plane disappear.
He's British.
He had chestnut brown hair and a sharp jaw. He was attractive. He had blue eyes that looked at me with concern.
"Yes," I got out. My throat was dry and my knuckles were turning white from gripping onto the seat so tightly.
"Are you sure? You look a little pale," he pointed out.
"Gee, thanks for that," I told him, sarcastically.
He smiled. "You're cool, I like you," he said.
"Well, nobody really asked, did they," I mumbled under my breath.
He looked at me, confused. "What?"
"Nothing, just let me focus on the plane," I muttered, weakly. The plane shook and I jumped a little in shock. I didn't know planes could do that.
He continued to stare at me with that annoying smile on his face. "You're scared?" He asked.
I ignored him, he was obviously making fun of me.
"There's nothing to be scared of really, this is the safest way to travel," he said.
I rolled my eyes. I knew that already, I was just in a car crash, knowing my luck I would get into a plane crash as well.
I was too frustrated to flirt with this England boy, too focused on trying to survive this long flight.

"Why are you going to Italy?" British boy asked.
I turned to look at him. Is he serious? I'm freaking out here, why would he think I would be able to hold a normal conversation?
"Wouldn't you like to know," I retorted.
"You are sassy, aren't you? Let me guess, you think you're better than everyone else because you're rich," he spoke, casually. It was like guessing people lives came naturally to him.
"How did you know that?" I asked. I was starting to get creeped out by this guy.
"Your shoes and clothes. They're all from expensive brands," he spoke.
I calmed down. "I guess, that was a good guess, but I don't think I'm better than people," I scoffed.
"Of course," he agreed.
I needed to prove him wrong. I didn't think I was better than people.
"Why are you going to Italy?" I asked the same question to him.
"To visit my family, turns out there lots of cousins I didn't know about," he chuckled. It was low and husky.
"That's nice," I smiled. "I'm going for a . . ." I paused. I definitely couldn't tell him I was going to get revenge on my father, who murdered my mother.
That would scare him away, for sure.
"Vacation," I lied. "I needed a break from my family," I explained further.
I had been a good liar ever since I was little. I was the best at hiding things. I was better at getting what I want and most of the time that included lying to get it.
"I feel you, I'm not really looking forward to going to a beautiful place, only to have family annoying you every second," he told me.
He was actually really nice. He seemed like a great guy, he also didn't seem like a callous gang leader, who found joy in other peoples pain.
He was sensitive and kind, unlike Giovanni, who was all the opposite.

I could work with the British boy, I needed to get to know him, maybe he would turn out as the one for me. I didn't know, but it was worth the fun.
"I bet," I laughed.
"I'm Elliot," he introduced. "What's your name?"
"Chanel," I answered.
He nodded. "Beautiful name, for a beautiful girl," he complimented.
I rolled my eyes. Cliché. I smiled, sassily. "Thank you, you have a beautiful name too," I replied back.
We made eye contact. I stared into his eyes and I felt paralyzed by his mesmerizing blue eyes. The hues were light blue and it became darker shades along the outer circles.
Suddenly the plane began to rumble again and I jumped in fear, I covered my mouth with my hand to cover the scream that escaped my lips. I squeezed my eyes shut and pushed back against the chair.
"We're experiencing a little turbulence," the flight attendant announced on the megaphone. "Fasten you're seatbelts, please."
Everyone put their seatbelt on and I freaked out. I was paralyzed.
Elliot reaches across me and placed my seatbelt in. I jumped at his contact and pushed his hands away.
"What are you doing?" I whisper shouted. I didn't allow him to touch me.
"Relax, I'm just putting your seatbelt on." I calmed down a little, bit I still didn't like his hands being so close to me.
Once it was on, he kept his hands near me and looked up at me. My eyes were wide and there was fear evident in them.
He placed his hand on my thigh. My dress was so short that most of my thigh was exposed. I closed my eyes shut and I froze. What was he going to do?
He quickly removed his hands once he saw my expression. I sighed in relief.
"What's turbulence?" I asked him.
He seemed to be surprised by my question, but answered anyway. "You know when the plane shook? That was turbulence. When the air was in a different direction it caused the bumps."
He was smart.
That's what shook the plane, that makes sense.
"Thank you, by the way," I told him.
He gave me a confused expression. "What for?"
"Putting my seatbelt on, I don't know what happened, I just froze," I explained.
"Don't worry about it," he said. "I'm glad I could help."
He seemed to be wanting to ask me something, but he looked conflicted to asking.
"What?" I asked.
He shook his head and smiled. "You're so hard to read," he told me. "I don't know what your thinking."
"It's a mystery really, most of the time I don't know what I'm doing," I said.
"You're mysterious, I like it," he grinned.
I was mysterious. I tried to be as complicated and difficult as possible. That way no one would stay, or no one would figure out what I try to hide.
There was a kick against my seat and I turned to look behind me. It was Tobias.
"Are you a child?" I asked him, annoyed. "Quit kicking my chair, Toby."
Tobias grinned, deviously and kicked my chair a lot harder.
I threw him a hard glare.
He snickered. "You're not as scary as you think, Chanel."
I grunted and sat back down in my seat. I crossed my arms over my chest with a huff.
"You know him?" Elliot asked.
I nodded my head. "Sadly." He laughed at my comment.
I let out a long yawn and felt my eyes water.
"You tired?" He asked. I nodded, too exhausted to give a longer answer.
Before he could say anything else I fell asleep.
The turbulence had finished and now the plane was flying smoothly.
"Sleep tight," he murmured.
