"She was a what?" Detective Bae Joohyun was staring at her partner in shock.

"A beauty guru," her partner, Detective Kim Seokjin, was chewing on a gum as he looked up at the balcony where Tzuyu had fallen from. "That's why there are reporters outside. The officers had to confiscate everyone's phones because they were trying to livestream."

Joohyun pointed to Tzuyu's body. "She's wearing Gucci from head to toe," she gave a low whistle. "I'm not sure what a beauty guru does but I wish I had that kind of career."

He pointed to the balcony, ignoring her thoughts. "You think she fell and broke her neck by accident?"

Joohyun shrugged. "We have officers interviewing everyone, but it seems they're too drunk to give rational answers."

"That boyfriend had an alibi too," Seokjin sighed. "Apparently he was setting up cameras around the house. The guests were only allowed to film in the main room."

"Why is that? Don't you find it odd? Maybe he needed a camera-free area to kill her."

"Possible, but he claims he wanted exclusive content for his videos so he and his friends were the only ones allowed to film outside the main room."

"And he practically didn't have any cameras in the room she was pushed from?" Joohyun's eyes narrowed.

Seokjin grinned. "The room she fell from...until we can prove otherwise. It's a big place so I doubt he planned on having cameras everywhere."

"She has so much going for her, what could be the reason for her to just jump out the balcony."

"We'll have to wait for the toxicology reports. Some of the guests said she had been drinking all night and her best friend said she had been drinking all day as well. There was no sign of struggle upstairs. For all we know, she was probably high and thought she could fly."

"Who called it on?" Joohyun asked. She stepped away so the forensic photographer could take pictures.

"Some Instagram models. They were getting ready to go in the pool when they heard screaming and then that happened," he pointed to Tzuyu's body.

"I bet that ruined the mood for them," Joohyun muttered.

"Detectives!" An officer ran towards them waving his notepad in the air. "I think I have someone you're going to want to interview personally."

Joohyun shared a glance with Seokjin then turned to the officer. "Who is it?"

Instead of answering, he looked back and called the person. "Come on out here!"

A young woman stepped out, and Joohyun's eyes narrowed as she took in her appearance. She looked familiar but she couldn't place it.

"Well," Seokjin spit out his gum. "Do my eyes deceive me or is this Roseanne Park?"

Joohyun turned to him. "Who?"

Seokjin raised a brow. "Don't you remember the unsolved murders. Her mother was Seo Jihyun? The Slasher case."

"Oh."

The officer stuck his thumb towards her. "She was upstairs about the same time that miss Chou Tzuyu fell. I thought you'd want to talk to her directly."

He left Joohyun and Seokjin with her as the forensic team began bagging up Tzuyu's body. Joohyun watched as Roseanne stared at the black bag. She was surprised Seokjin recognized her quickly.

"Are you okay?" Joohyun asked. She didn't know her personally but her name was well-known in the police department. Her mother's case was the worst one they had.

"Y-yes," Roseanne nodded. "I'm fine, thank you."

"You're awfully polite for someone standing in front of a dead body," Seokjin murmured.

"Don't be a jerk, seokjin. what do you expect her to do? spit on the body?" Joohyun stepped forward. "You were upstairs the same time miss Chou Tzuyu fell?"

Roseanne gave a quick nod. "Yeah, I guess I was."

"What were you doing up there? I was told that part of the house was blocked off."

"Have you ever heard of the Park Jihyo murder?"

Seokjin snorted. "Are you seriously going to tell us that a ghost murdered Chou Tzuyu?"

Joohyun knew Seokjin was purposely antagonizing Roseanne to see how she would react. Her eyes narrowed but she didn't share any other obvious anger.

"No, I'm telling you that's why I was up there. I make videos of me talking about ghosts and other things."

"So," Joohyun took another step closer to Roseanne. "You were upstairs making a video of yourself hunting a ghost. Did anyone else see you?"

"No, but I did run into Jeon Jungkook and Chou Tzuyu before I went upstairs. They were arguing."

"What were they arguing about?"

"Her necklace. He seemed upset that she was wearing it."

Joohyun and Seokjin took a glance at each other before stealing a glance at the body. She wasn't wearing a necklace.

"How did you know you were upstairs at the same time as miss Tzuyu? Did you see her go upstairs?" Joohyun asked.

"No, but I heard her scream twice. That's when I ran out the balcony and saw her. I called the police but was told someone already called it in."

Seokjin crossed his arms together. "How do we know you weren't the one to push miss Tzuyu?"

Roseanne shrugged. "You don't. I do have my recording though. I'm in it the entire time and you can hear her screaming as well."

She held her phone towards them and they watched as the scene played out.

"Was that really a ghost telling you to run?" Seokjin asked. "I gotta say I got a little spooked. Is this place really haunted?"

Joohyun elbowed him away from the phone and pressed a few buttons to send the video to her google drive. She held the phone up to Roseanne. "I can erase this video or take your phone as evidence. Which do you prefer?"

"I was able to record a ghost responding to me. Do you know how rare that was to capture?"

"So you want me to hang on to the phone?" Joohyun asked, not caring.

Joohyun watched as Roseanne's cheeks reddened in anger. She expected her to argue but she shook her head. "Delete the video. I need my phone."

Joohyun deleted the video and handed the phone, along with her business card to Roseanne. "Did you see anyone else upstairs?"

"No, no one."

Joohyun nodded. "That's all we have for now. If we have any other questions, we'll contact you. And if you remember anything else, please make sure to contact me."

"Do you think someone killed her?" Roseanne asked.

Joohyun frowned. "We can't reveal that information."

"The news reporters outside said it was probably an accident. As soon as they heard that Chou Tzuyu fell they started live streaming."

"I never met a group of people so needy for attention," Seokjin muttered.

"I heard banging twice before she screamed," Roseanne reminded them. "There's no way that was an accident. She was murdered."

"For all we know, she saw a rat or something and screamed before she fell. It's an old house."

Roseanne grimaced. "You really don't believe that, do you? I heard footsteps. You can't hear them so clearly because it's on my phone but-"

"Thank you for your time," Joohyun cut her off. "We'll call you if we have any further questions."

"You're making a mistake."

Roseanne turned to walk away as she didn't wait for them to respond. She shuffled towards the entrance of the mansion.

"Do you believe her?" Seokjin asked.

Joohyun shrugged. "People can believe in the things they want."

The two spent the next three hours at the Park Mansion before deciding to head back to the station. A handful of reporters were still gathered around the mansion but a few officers had stayed to keep them at bay.

Joohyun was getting into Seokjin's car; she sighed. "The more I think about it, the more it doesn't sit well with me."

"What?"

"Having Roseanne Park somehow involved in this case just feels like a bad omen. Or just attracted to it."

"Is that why you deleted her video? Did you hear the spirit box? It literally told her to run. Maybe it could tell us what happened to Chou Tzuyu," Seokjin suggested. "I always wanted to go ghost hunting."

Joohyun couldn't believe what she just heard. "Please don't tell me you actually believe in ghosts."

"I do."

Joohyun looked at him. "Seokjin, I'm going to ask you once and I want a serious answer. How did you recognize Roseanne Park?"

He looked away, scratching the back of his head. "Well...when she released the video about her mother being one of the victims of the Slasher, I was curious and I watched a few more of her videos. Did you know that her father taught her how to ghost hunt? It's why she's so obsessed with the dead. Every so often she has these videos where she tries to make contact with her parents. It's kind of sad."

Joohyun shut her eyes. "Please don't tell me you're subscribed to her."

Seokjin coughed. "Well, her videos are pretty go-"

His phone dinged and Seokjin glanced at his phone. He had received a notification of a new video from RoséRade. He clicked the video and cursed.

"What is it?" Joohyun asked.

Seokjin held up his phone. Roseanne Park had just posted a new video and its title was sure to put a twist in their investigation.
