Jeon Jungkook hates it when his girlfriend continues to change her colour the same way that most people change their clothes, but not for the reasons that people would think.

Usually, fans would complain because they were worried for her scalp, the way her hair began to thin out from all the dye or because they were dreaming of the day that she'd go back to black but those things didn't matter to him. Hair grew. More importantly, even if she was completely bald, he'd still love her to the moon and back—he'd fallen for her personality and voice, but her goddess-like appearances certainly weren't something he'd complain about.

Jeon Jungkook hates the way that Park Chaeyoung consistently changes her hair, because it meant another day spent at the salon rather than being spent with him!

At first, it wasn't something that annoyed him because she was trying out a new shade of blonde—from honey blonde, to warm golden blonde, to true blonde and then to ash platinum. But later, her mood began to be more complex—vibrant red, muted pink, blue, purple, and with each colour came more and more time in the salon, removing colour, treatment and dye.

But Jeon Jungkook doesn't have the courage to complain out loud, especially not when his girlfriend comes home from the salon with the most effervescent smile across her face and doing a little twirl, allowing her long and lush hair to flow around, almost like a dance.

And then, she'd open her lips and a voice even sweeter than stevia itself would depart from her lips as she'd ask "... what do you think babe? Is it pretty?"

Her beauty alone was enough to shut him the hell up.

And always, Jeon Jungkook was unable to do anything but smile in return, telling her through kisses and cuddles that she was the most gorgeous woman on the earth (and in his mind, probably the entire universe and beyond).

Park Chaeyoung is increasingly busy with the comeback and since it's her agenda supposedly to change her colour all the damn time he decides that he'll not only drop her off and pick her up, but that he'll come with her to the salon. At first, she'd said no and warned him that it'll take long and that it'll be boring for him—but he himself promised that he didn't mind and just wanted to spend as much time possible with her. Plus, a few hair treatments wouldn't hurt either, right?

The pair book a private floor in the salon, just to be extra cautious and bring small gifts for the staff as a gesture for their help.

"Ah, I should've known you were her boyfriend," her usual stylist comments, "... she talks about you all the time."

"Good things, I hope?" Jeon Jungkook teases before turning to his girlfriend, "... I'm here to sus out why she's been spending more time here then in the apartment."

Park Chaeyoung stays silent for the most part, a shy smile on her face before she introduces them formally.

He's glad too, knowing that she trusts her hairdresser enough to tell her about their relationship.

Today—Park Chaeyoung is going bright red. She requests to be Ariel personified before her stylist jokes to him, "... how about you? Should we do the same? You'll be waiting for quite a while anyway, Chaeyoungs hair is super long."

Jeon Jungkook is not a fan of changing his hair, he has a lowkey paranoia about getting a bald spot but somehow, he takes it seriously.

"Hmm, let's give it a go," he tells her, "... treatment and colour."

"Babe, fans will speculate if you do, maybe you should try something less bright—like a night milk tea brown," she tells him cautiously.

Between the two, Park Chaeyoung had always been one to keep things on the down low.

"Who cares, let them speculate," he shrugs his shoulders, "... you're my girlfriend, anyway."

Park Chaeyoung pouts.

But later when the stylist leaves and Park Chaeyoung is on her phone, he peeps and she's her texting the BLACKPINK group chat.

"Jungkook's with me at the hairdresser. He's dying his hair red too (〃ω〃) my heart can't take it it's beating so fast (｡･･｡)."
