Jisoo Kim never thought the day would come where a man could win Park Chaeyoung's heart.

She thought if anyone would, it'll be Park Chanyeol. The pair had gotten closer since the collaboration, earlier on in their rookie years and sometimes she'd come home late after being dropped off by him. Whenever she'd interrogate the younger member, she's simply shyly laugh and tell her that she's misunderstanding, and that he was simply a senior idol giving her guitar tips.

At the time, she feels sorry for Park Chanyeol, knowing that her friend was oblivious to the clear attempts the older man was making and getting to know her more.

In the years that she knew her, Jisoo Kim became like a mother figure—it was a natural consequence seeing that her real family were a million miles away in Australia and she was alone in a foreign country. If there was anything that she'd learned about her, it was that Park Chaeyoung was three things—a foodie, a sensitive soul (with the capacity to listen to others stories wholeheartedly and with great compassion) and a workaholic.

Jisoo Kim knew that it was because of the last, that dating and having a relationship was far from her horizon.

Park Chaeyoung enjoyed watching romantic comedies, but love was the last of her worries—all she wanted was to live, see and breathe music in a manner that would make her family proud.

Jisoo Kim knows her the best, hence why she thinks that there's a small glimmer of a chance that the pair will get together. If not, she worries that Park Chaeyoung may never date—she loved music, her family and her friends too much to entertain a relationship.

Only, she was wrong.

For a few months, Park Chaeyoung stops coming home late and no longer goes on late night guitar practice with Park Chanyeol. At first, she thinks that perhaps the pair have fought—only a few months later, she accidentally sees a notification pop up on her phone while she's in the shower.

From:

Okay, I'm heading on the plane now. Thinking of you. Don't sleep too late.

Jisoo Kim realises that Park Chaeyoung, has a boyfriend.

And it was not who she thought it was.

At first, Jisoo Kim doesn't bring it up but after a few more weeks of secret calls she can't contain herself.

"Who is it?" She asks her, making her blush suddenly in surprise.

"What do you mean?" Park Chaeyoung responds coyly, though knows she's caught red hand.

"Tell me who or I'll tell the other girls you have a boyfriend," she daringly threatens, "... and you know Lisa won't let you sleep until you tell us."

There she learns, that Jeon Jungkook became South Korea's biggest thief, for stealing the heart of South Korea's angel, Park Chaeyoung.

"How did it happen?" Jisoo Kim asks curiously, wondering how it was possible that a man really won her heart.

Park Chaeyoung pouts in embarrassment, confessing, "... it's a little embarrassing."

That night, Jisoo Kim learns that the pair bumped into each other in church on a Sunday morning and made some small talk. Only when she was meant to be picked up by Park Chanyeol, he had to cancel last minute. Jeon Jungkook offered her a ride that day, which she gladly accepted, since she didn't want to ask for her manager's help on a weekend, and they decided to stop by for early lunch and coffee. Apparently, the date went so well that by the end of it, they'd decided to go to church regularly together—and somewhere between that day and now, she found herself looking for him more often whether it was at award shows, on the television or in the various parties they'd attended. He was sweet and kind, not just to her but to the waitress and receptionist, to his manager and makeup artist.

She hadn't planned on dating any time soon, but the more she'd learned about him, the more she realised that perhaps, she wouldn't mind being with a man after all.

"And what about Chanyeol? I thought you guys were getting quite close," Jisoo questions curiously, "... he fit your ideal type well."

Park Chaeyoung giggles, "... Koo always teases me about that. He learned guitar, just so that he could fit my ideal type."

At first, Jisoo Kim was hesitant, after all, Park Chaeyoung was a hypersensitive person with a heart as pure as gold. As the self-proclaimed mother of the group, she couldn't let just any guy into her life! But the more she learned about him, the more she realised, that Jeon Jungkook was a good guy, one that seemingly came straight from a fairytale story.

For example, one time, Park Chaeyoung had gotten food poisoning while in Japan. Jeon Jungkook had ordered medicine, warm food and a bunny plushie to be sent to her hotel room even before she'd gotten a chance to know herself. Then there was the time where he'd been invited by the girls to the dorm for dinner—he had brought wine, a cheese platter and an entire box of toilet paper (apparently it was an inside joke). But the thing that made Jisoo Kim realise that he was a good man, was whenever the pair would be around in the same award show or event—he'd always pull a chair for her, because he didn't like her standing up for so long in heels because it hurt her legs. Sometimes, he'd even hand his blanket to her manager to lend to her and always, without fail, would send a bouquet for the girls.

Jeon Jungkook wasn't just concerned with the big details, but cared for her in all ways possible, even in the small things others wouldn't consider.

For example, whenever he'd pick her up from a late dance practice he'd put a blanket in the dryer beforehand so that when she comes, she'd have heated car seats and a blanket over her. He'd left hairbands in his car and home just in case, and one time, the girls dared her to ask him to buy some sanitary pads—instead of asking one of the other girls, he'd shown up to the dorm with two bags full of feminine products because he "didn't know which one she's wanted."

Jeon Jungkook was a sweet man and while it took some time for her to trust him, Jisoo Kim trusts him to look after her friend whole heartedly.

Park Chanyeol.

Jeon Jungkook was secure in his relationship with Park Chaeyoung, but when it came to the other man, he could never be completely sure. He had heard from other Seokjin Kim that the older man had a crush on her, and that the pair had gotten close after their collaboration but whenever he'd asked, she'd tell him that they were friends, or more so, she saw him like a mentor.

But Jeon Jungkook is thankful that Park Chanyeol is a busy man, because the fact that he couldn't pick her up like usual led to the start of their relationship.

He thinks he should go to church more regularly.

To be honest, Jeon Jungkook never thought that he'd have a chance with her not because he wasn't attractive or much of a catch, but mainly because rumours made it clear that Park Chaeyoung, in many respects, was seen as the unattainable.

He'd been a fan of her vocal colour from the beginning, but he'd started really falling for her when he'd catch himself looking at her at award shows. She'd always bow to other idols, greet them warmly and energetically and there were a few instances where she'd given her seat to other people even though he knew she was already tired from her own schedules. One time, he'd caught her taking of her sweater and giving it to one of the other idols, who was clearly super cold. For the rest of the practice, she was shivering, but still gave it her all.

That's why he knew, that she was the only one for him.

Jeon Jungkook is not really into dating—but that quickly changed when he met her. All he could think about was her, and suddenly, all his free time was consumed with texts to her, gifts for her and small voice recordings for her.

One day he wakes up to the sound of her usually quaint and sweet girlfriend crying (and partly yelling) on the phone. He quickly rushes to the living room, eyes washed with concerned.

She looks at him, putting the phone down before rushing over and crying on his shoulder.

He learns that there's a photo circulating with dispatch's logo, of an edit of her and another idol.

"It's not real," she tells him, "... you have to believe me."

"Of course I do," he doesn't hesitate, "... it's okay, we'll fix this."

"Everyone's calling me asking me if I broke up with you," she cries further, "... it's not me, it's an edited photo."

When she shows him the photo, his heart sinks for a moment.

He hates to see her like this.

"Okay, put your phone down first," he tells her, turning the device on, "... and shower, I'll get breakfast ready for us. You need to clear your head. I'll sort everything, I promise."

And he does.

He calls his agency and explains the situation, and since their agency has an agreement, they promise to put out a statement. Jeon Jungkook urges them to do it now, as time is of the essence.

By the time she emerges from the bathroom, it's all sorted.

"Dispatch are drafting a statement now, they'll clear things up," he tells her as he takes a step forward, kissing her forehead, "... it's okay. It's all over."

Relief washes over him as he sees her finally smiling for the first time that morning, and the way a ray of sunshine hits her head from the window makes her look even more ethereal than usual.

He loves her.

And he'll do everything and anything to make sure she's okay.

And it was moments like these, that shows how Jeon Jungkook, despite the odds, became the only man in the world that could win her heart.
