Based on Jeon Jungkook's newly expanded vocabulary including certain English jargons, especially of an Australian kind due to his very fluent girlfriend, Park Chaeyoung.

One of the biggest changes in Jeon Jungkook, since meeting Park Chaeyoung, is his expanding vocabulary. English has always been a language he'd dreamed of becoming fluent in, though it initially seemed impossible given the hectic nature of his schedule and his frank lack of will to learn, or at least, to make it a priority.
Music and performing has been his living, breathing and daily life for as long as he can remember and in the limited free time that he had, learning another language was never something he felt needed to be hierarchised.
Until, he'd started spending more and more time with her.
Ironically, when they'd first started talking with one another, Jeon Jungkook used it as an excuse to get closer with her.
He remembers vividly following the 2016 SAF Music Contest, at the after party held by idols. It was difficult for him to get a moment to talk with her, given her newfound popularity.
Her collaboration stage was impressive, to say the least.
Two hours had passed and Jeon Jungkook kept his eye on her the entire time, but couldn't find a window of opportunity to say hello.
Either she was with her fellow members or other idols who were congratulating her on what was truly an unexpected and thrilling performance.
So he gives up.
Jeon Jungkook heads to the back of the premise to head to the bathroom, mentally cursing at himself for not trying hard enough.
But he supposes that watching her from the distance will suffice, for the current situation.
As he leaves the bathroom, he hears what he swears is an angel's voice speaking in English.
He turns, out of instinct, not even because he was a busy-body but because something about that voice sounded so captivating—as though there were some sort of gravitational pull coming from it.
And she sees her, a step away from the back door (but still open and loud enough for him to hear) saying his goodbye.
She closes her phone and quickly heads back, to see that she's bumped into someone.

Into him.
"Oh—" she stops in her tracks, surprised as she blinks looking up at him, "... I'm sorry I wasn't looking Jungkook-ssi."
Jeon Jungkook can't help but feel his cheeks flush red, and he thinks the sound of his name from her lips is an experience in itself.
"It's not your fault, I'm sorry Rosé-ssi," he responds to her, "... your collaboration was amazing, I was thoroughly impressed."
She giggles, a sound that felt holier than angels themselves, making him raise his brows in wonder.
"Well—I know, actually my older sister just called and she said she saw some fancams and she said you and Taehyung-ssi were reacting to the performance really animatedly. She was jealous," she explains sheepishly, "... she just called me to tell me about it, she's a big fan."
Caught red handed.
He didn't mind though, especially since it made for good conversation.
"If it's not too much, can I get a photo with you?" Her voice is timid and shy, and he swears it takes everything in him not to pinch her cheeks in adoration, "... it's totally fine if you'd prefer not to—"
Jeon Jungkook moves his hand around her shoulder, watching as she quickly, though with shaky hands, takes out her phone and turns on the selfie mode. He finds it cute, seeing as she goes on her tiptoes so that their faces can fit in one frame.
When it's over he turns to her, "... I noticed that you were speaking English on the phone, your accent is really nice Chaeyoung-ssi."
She blushes, a light pout in an attempt to contain her smile.
"We grew up in Australia, I moved back to Korea four years ago," she explains.
"Ah, I envy you... it's so difficult to learn as a foreigner," he explains.
"Oh!" She jumps up before reaching for her phone, "... I can get you connected to some great English teachers, they really helped some of the new YG trainees!"
No silly, I mean I want you to teach me!
Nevertheless, they exchange numbers that day, and he's glad that he at least, has an excuse to get her contact details.

As expected, she sends him a list of contacts.
But he never contacts any of them.
"We should head back," she says once they exchange numbers, "... by the way, just call me Chaeyoung. It's what my friends call me."
They were already friends?
"Just call me Jungkook then, we don't need the formalities anymore."
It took over a year of him courting her for Park Chaeyoung to finally realise that he was flirting with her.
Somehow, she "wasn't sure" if he was inviting her out on dates and driving her home late at night because he was just a really good friend or liked him. She wasn't sure whether he'd bought her souvenirs from every destination he'd gone to because he loved giving gifts or if it was because she was special.
He finally made his intention clear, a year later as they're sitting in the car overlooking the sunset when she asks him about their first interaction.
"Oh yeah, how's your search for English teachers going?" She innocently inquiries.
Jeon Jungkook turns in disbelief.
It was at that moment that he tells her that it was a ploy to get to know her more, and how he wonders whether his intentions haven't been clear for the last twelve months.
She blushes, looking at him.
"Are you confessing to me?" She reconfirms.
"Do you really need to ask?" He questions in return.
"But you're Jeon Jungkook and I'm just a nobody—"
"You're Park Chaeyoung, and I like you, a lot," he tells her.
-
The pair laugh about it now, but it was painful for him to pursue someone who was oblivious to his courting.
But sadly, Park Chaeyoung declines to be his private English teacher.
She joked that she didn't want him falling in love with a foreign girl and since he has her to help translate, but in reality, she told him that their schedules were busy and she'd rather spend time with him in peace rather than in stress and seriousness.
Jeon Jungkook can't hide his disappointment at first, as it would be a lie to say that he didn't mind. He thought it was romantic to be able to learn from him and spend time studying with her, like a tutor. Perhaps—he reads too many manga that romanticises study and since he was so busy with his idol life, he never had the same experiences as others in school.
But Jeon Jungkook picks up on English well.
At first, he often felt lost and left out when his girlfriend would talk to others in English, especially her older sister and Jennie Kim. Of course—she'd so what she can to translate, but sometimes, the conversation moved too fast for her to do so.
And delayed reactions weren't fun.
But after a few months, Jeon Jungkook begins to feel more comfortable and accustomed to the English language and while he knows he's far from fluent, he's now able to comprehend most conversations and listen in without asking too many questions.
The pair are in the bathroom, at 8am in the morning. He's getting dressed while she's sitting in the vanity doing her skincare.
Her phone rings and Park Chaeyoung answers it on speaker (because she doesn't want her phone to touch her face when she hasn't finished her skincare and makeup).
It's her older sister.
"Hi Alice good morning! Yes of course I'm awake—hahaha don't say that, but I definitely will get a coffee or two before going in. Hmm, dinner sounds good let me asking Jungkook—"
She turns to him and he smiles at her, "... I should finish at 7pm so let's do 7:30pm?"
"Can we do 7:30pm? Sure! I'm so excited! See you guys tonight, ah—yes, we're going to have breakie now. Hmm, okay we'll be careful. Bye Alice, love you."
"Breakie?" He asks her.
"Oh, it's short for breakfast," she explains, "... it's slang."
A few weeks later, Park Chaeyoung watches her boyfriends interview and how his favourite English word is breakie.
Ah, her boyfriend is too obvious.
But as much as she complains, it makes her warm knowing that he does what he can to show off about her from not just the grand gestures, but the small ones too.
