"Omi-omi and I got together! It's wonderful, you should've seen it yourselves!" Atsumu told (Y/n), Suna and Osamu. "Y'know, I told 'Kawa-babe, and he was so excited for me."
"You always call him 'Kawa-babe, what's his real name?" Suna asked.
"His name is Oikawa Tooru. But anyways, back to me and Omi-"
Atsumu was interrupted by an abrupt ringtone of (song) that came from (Y/n)'s phone.
"Sorry, guys. My dad is calling." (Y/n) said as he walked away to answer his phone. "Hello?"
"Hello, this is the police. There's a car crash down (name) highway. We collected one of the victim's phones, and you and another number were the emergency contacts. May we ask who you are?" A police officer's voice spoke.
"Uh, (L-(L/n) (Y/n)... is-is my dad OK?" (Y/n) asked, panicking.
"I'm sorry... I don't think he'll make it..." the police said.
"Oh... where is he?"
"In XXX hospital."
"I'll be there, thank you. Please call the other number, that's my mom."
"Yes, sir. Thank you."
(Y/n) shoved his phone in his bag, and ran out of the classroom that he was in. He ran, and ran, and ran. It seemed like the hospital was no closer than far, but he kept running and running. The adrenaline rushing through him was unbelievable, and when he reached the hospital, the doctors only shook their heads, as in 'he didn't make it'.
.
.
.
"I'm glad he's gone, I sacrificed my life and one true love in Miyagi to be with this man, and he was never thankful. Never loved him anyways, I only agreed because my mother forced me to." (L/n) (Mother's name) laughed with her friend at the funeral. The worst possible scenario that (Mother's name) didn't even think was possible was that someone had heard them, and said someone was none other than (Y/n), who struggled to cope with his father's death. So, when he heard this, his only option the next day was to cry about it to his friends who didn't even know their friend's father had passed away.
"(Y/n), we don't know what's wrong if you don't tell us." Osamu said as he patted his crying friend's head.
"Samu, she didn't even love him! She was literally laughing about it." (Y/n) sobbed.
"About what, (Y/n)? Who was laughing about 'it' and who didn't love who?" Atsumu asked.
"My mom... she didn't even love my dad, she was literally laughing about his death to her friends." (Y/n) cried as he hugged Osamu tighter.
"Whoa, slow down there. Your dad died, and your mom was laughing about it?" Suna asked. (Y/n) nodded.
"That's awful, (Y/n)..." Atsumu said.
"You should... I don't even know anymore, you shouldn't go home, but you shouldn't go to practice either." Osamu said.
"It's OK... I'll just skip practice and let (Y/n) stay at mine." Suna said.
.
.
.
(Y/n) was doing homework with Suna, but his phone rang. It was his mother.
"Hello?"
"(Y/n), where are you? I went to your school, but your coach said you weren't there."
"Oh... I'm at Suna's." (Y/n) said bitterly.
"Come home. We need to discuss something." His mom said.
"OK..." he said. He hung up the phone. "Suna, I have to go back home. I think the mother figure has something to tell me."

Suna nodded. "You want me to give you a ride back?"
"It's fine. I can go by myself." (Y/n) smiled as he grabbed his stuff. "Thanks for having me over."
"No problem."
.
.
.
"Good timing, (Y/n)." Mrs. (L/n) said.
"Right. Mom, what'd you need to tell me?" (Y/n) asked.
"Look, I know this is a bit early, but I need you to understand, alright?"
(Y/n) nodded.
"So, since we got the funeral out the way, it's time we begin a new life. I want you to pack everything you want to keep, and we'll be moving to Miyagi next week. I've made the arrangements." His mother said.
"Wait, are we going to live with grandma and grandpa now?" (Y/n) asked.
"No. I had a lover long ago... we recently got in touch again. He asked me if I wanted to get married, I said yes, and we're getting married. We're moving you to his daughter's school, and we'll be living with them."
(Y/n)'s heart that was already broken, shattered into a million tiny little pieces. "But mom! Don't you think it's a little... inappropriate? Like, dad just died, and your next move is to get married to someone?"
"Honey, this is all in good intention."
(Y/n) sighed. It wasn't like he had any other options anyway.
.
.
.
"You're moving?" Suna asked.
"Yeah. I can't believe her! And I cannot believe she had the nerves to say that it was all in good intention. That is such bullshit." (Y/n) screamed.
"We'll call you. Everyday!" Atsumu exclaimed. "You think we'll let our friendship dissolve to nothing?"
"Yeah! Just because this stupid move? No way, man." Osamu said.
"Thanks, you're all the best."
.
.
.
(Y/n) awkwardly watched as his mother, and her fiancé kissed.
"Hello, I'm Shimizu Kiyoko. We'll be siblings soon." Kiyoko said.
We'll never be siblings
"(L/n) (Y/n)." (Y/n) said. He leaned into Kiyoko's ear. "But please, we'll never be siblings."
Kiyoko watched as her 'brother' walked away to call someone. We'll never be siblings? Kiyoko figured this must be because he's still stuck with his father's death. Give it sometime, maybe he'll open up.
.
.
.
"My name is (L/n) (Y/n). Nice to meet you, Shimizu-san." (Y/n) said.
"(Y/n)! He's gonna be your dad, call him dad!" his mother said.
"... nice to meet you dad." he muttered.
"I'm sorry, Kazuma. He's still not over (Father's name)'s death yet." Mrs. (L/n) said.
.
.
.
It's been a few months since (Y/n) had moved to Miyagi, his mother married Shimizu Kazuma, and today is (Y/n)'s first day at Karasuno high school.
"Good morning, (Y/n)." Kiyoko greeted as she grabbed her bag.
"Hey." (Y/n) said as he grabbed his bag, and breakfast.
"Have a good day at school!" (Y/n)'s mother said.
.
.
.
"This is Karasuno high. I can show you around if you want." Kiyoko said as she, and (Y/n) walked into the school.
"No, I'll be fine." (Y/n) said as he speeded away from his new found step-sister.
.
.
.
"Please introduce yourself." The teacher said.
"I'm (L- Shimizu... (Y/n)..." (Y/n) muttered.
"Please sit next to Tanaka-kun, Shimizu-kun." the teacher instructed. It felt so weird to be called Shimizu, but (Y/n) just walked to his table with his head down. "For homeroom, you can do whatever you want. I'll be here if you need me."

"Hey, I'm Tanaka." Tanaka said.
"Hey..." (Y/n) said as he grabbed a book.
"Where'd you move from?" he asked.
"Inarizaki." (Y/n) answered as he put his book, and pen on the table.
"Oh cool! Yuu, c'mere!"
"Oh hey! I'm Nishinoya Yuu." Noya greeted.
"Hey..."
"Not much of a talker, hm? Is something bothering you?" Tanaka asked.
"None of your business, loud hound." (Y/n) said as he began to draw in his sketchbook. Noya and Tanaka shrugged and went back to talking about random stuff.
.
.
.
"You're required to be in clubs here." Kiyoko said as she showed (Y/n) the canteen. She was going to tell him about the school, and whatnot.
"I don't wanna be in clubs..." (Y/n) face planted on the table.
"... why don't you become the volleyball club's manager with me?" she asked.
(Y/n) perked up. "Me? Karasuno volleyball club's manager? As if, Kiyoko. I'm Inarizaki volleyball club's manager, I won't be my school's rival's volleyball club's manager."
"... please, (Y/n). It'll be easier if you join with me." Kiyoko said.
"No way. That's like betraying my friends!" (Y/n) huffed.
"Please (Y/n). Just go see for yourself, and you can decide later down the line." Kiyoko said. (Y/n) looked away.
"Fine..." he stubbornly replied. "But don't expect me to join."
.
.
.
(Y/n) and Kiyoko walked into the gym. Tanaka and Noya had an oddly mad face directed at (Y/n).
"Oi, oi, dude, what are you doing with our precious Kiyoko?!" Tanaka asked.
"... what the fuck. My mother is married to her father." (Y/n) said as he sat down.
"... oh, so you're siblings?" Noya asked.
"Yes-"
"No." (Y/n) interrupted. "I'll never be your brother."
Kiyoko looked at (Y/n) as he said that.
"(Y/n)...?" she asked.
"Look, Kiyoko. You're an amazing person. You're really nice, but... you'll never be my sibling. I can't just... let go so easily. I have a dad, and I'm not willing to forget him and just accept that you and your dad will be family now. It's not the same. I'm sorry." (Y/n) said as he ran off into the distance.
.
.
.
(Y/n) ran off into the distance. Just like when he ran to hospital, except this time he didn't know where he was going, he just aimlessly ran off until he was tired.
"Maybe I should call a cab." (Y/n) muttered as he pulled his phone out. The phone is out of battery. "Fuck..."
He sighed, knowing there is no hope for him anymore. He put his phone back into his pocket, and continued to aimlessly walk around the street. Until he reached a school. Aoba Johsai High School. (Y/n) looked at the school, then walked away. Not tryna pick a fight with another school's students anyway.
"Hey!" a male's voice exclaimed.
(Y/n) walked away. The guy was most likely not talking to him.
"Hey! I'm talking to you!" the guy said. (Y/n) turned around, and was met with a brunette boy with a friendly attitude in an Aoba Johsai volleyball jacket.
"Me?" (Y/n) asked.
"Yep, you. Are you lost?" he asked.
"Kind of." (Y/n) admitted.
"Oh! Where are you going?" the guy asked.
"I really wanna go home... but my mom won't let me anyway, so it doesn't matter." (Y/n) sighed.
The guy blinked. "Wait, I think I know of you. Are you 'Tsumu-bae's friend?"
"'Tsumu-bae?" (Y/n) asked.
"Miya Atsumu." he said.
"Wait... are you Oikawa?" (Y/n) asked.
"Yep!" Oikawa exclaimed.
"My name is (Y/n)." (Y/n) told him.
"I thought you went to Inarizaki with Tsumubae, and his friends?" He asked.
"My mother decided to get remarried with another man, and moved here a week after my dad died..." (Y/n) said as he looked away. He felt an overwhelming urge to cry, and so cry he did. "I-I miss my dad..."
Oikawa hugged him as (Y/n) as he cried into his chest.
"Shh, it's OK. Let it all out." Oikawa said as he hugged (Y/n).
"I miss him so much, but my mom won't even let me go back to visit him again." (Y/n) said as he hugged Oikawa tighter.
The two stayed like that in front of Aoba Johsai for a while until (Y/n) finally calmed down.
"Sorry." (Y/n) apologized as he let go.
"It's OK. I understand what you mean. My parents divorced and I haven't seen my dad in a while." Oikawa said as he shoved his hands into his pocket. "Also, you should probably go back to your house, it's 9 pm."
"Oh. Well, uh, I don't think I can." (Y/n) said. "My mom's husband's daughter really wants to be my sibling, but I said to her "I'll never be your brother."
Oikawa looked at (Y/n), but then...
"(Y/n)!" a certain sister yelled. "(Y/n), where have you been?"
(Y/n) looked at Kiyoko, shocked.
"Did you come all the way here to find me?" he asked.
"Mom, dad, and I ran all around town! We even called the police, but they said we can only report if the person goes missing for more than 24 hours." she panted as she hugged her brother. "I'm glad you're OK."
(Y/n) hugged her back. "Yeah... thank you, sister."
.
.
.
"Uncle Tooru! Uncle (Y/n)!" Tanaka Kaori exclaimed as she ran into (Y/n)'s arms.
"Hey Kaori." (Y/n) chuckled as he patted his niece's head.
"Hello (Y/n), and Tooru." Kiyoko said as she hugged her younger brother.
"Hey Kiyoko! How's the second baby going?" (Y/n) asked.
"Ryouta has been very loud, but Ryuu and I have been getting better sleep." Kiyoko said as she sat down on the couch.
"That's great news."
"How about you? How are you two doing in San Juan?" she asked.
"Amazing. Volleyball has been intense for a while, but we won Japan's national team!" Tooru replied as he dragged their bags into the Tanaka household. The two were helping Kiyoko and Ryuu with the kids.
"That's amazing, man! Congrats!" Ryuu exclaimed as he walked out of the kitchen.
"Hey, Ryuu. What's up?" (Y/n) asked.
"Nothing much. Just the regular." he said.
"That's awesome." (Y/n) smiled.
"Uncle, can you tell me you and mommy's story again?" Kaori asked.
"Alright. Well, I was 16, and was moved from Hyogo to here..."

The Hawkshaw Inheritance is a completed story, with twenty chapters in total. For as long as almost anyone can remember, a small percentage of people have possessed fantastic gifts. Superhuman strength, speed, and smarts are just a few of the many such abilities on record. Some choose to exploit these powers for personal gain, but most use them for the benefit of their fellow man. Thanks to these people, who we call superheroes, the world is safe. But neither they nor the public will ever be aware of the danger they are in, thanks to the efforts of the Council. For more than twenty years, the world's most powerful, influential, and intelligent metahumans have worked tirelessly in secret to protect the world, and subtly steer it on a better course.
