《Haikyuu!! x Male reader one-shots》- Yahaba Shigeru -

"Alright, we'll be having seating arrangements. We'll start with Yahaba-kun, and (L/n)-kun at the window seat to the right of my desk, 5 rows back..."
I'm not gonna lie, Shimizu-sensei's seating instructions were very confusing, and I really didn't wanna get in trouble by saying that to her face, but apparently my new seatmate who just moved to Seijoh mid-semester clearly doesn't care.
"Sensei, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I don't know what you're even saying, and frankly, I don't think Yahaba does either."
Damn. I heard his old school, Johzenji, has a partier reputation and attitude. Maybe that's why he doesn't care. Oh, a week's worth of detention is waiting for him... maybe. He just moved here, so maybe not. Well, clearly Shimizu-sensei took that to heart, so she just pointed to the seat she wanted us to sit in.
"Damn dude, that was a bit blunt." I told him as we sat down.
"Blunt? I'm just saying, I mean, did you even understand a word she uttered?" (L/n) asked as he pulled out his books and stuff.
"No, I didn't." I admitted. "Anyways, Yahaba Shigeru. And you?"
He smiled. "(L/n) (Y/n), but (Y/n) is fine."
"OK, (Y/n)."

I spent all my classes sitting next to (Y/n). Sometimes he made funny comments about the contents, which really lightens my day when I'm bored in class. Honestly, Shimizu-sensei was somewhat boring anyway, so the funny comments made classes better. I used some of the jokes as tips to remember the contents, so it's also helpful. I really fell head over heels for this guy. He's also a partier. He went to every party in the prefecture. He even befriended Tendou from Shiratorizawa. Sometimes I go to the parties with him. Once it was this fancy dress-up party and we dressed up as Draco and Harry (I asked him to but not the point). I was Harry and (Y/n) was Draco. These four girls mistook us as a couple, and well, it wasn't all that bad since that night, we became official.

I'd be honest, if I said I would remember that day until my last breath, even if I was a bit tipsy. (Y/n) was drinking butterbeer while I was drinking firewhiskey because... well, I'm just that. We were really getting into the role of Harry and Draco, until (Y/n) had pinned me to the wall of the room we were in when we mimicked the legendary Drarry scene from the 3rd movie.
These girls whose named I somehow remembered (Kiyoko, Hitoka, Hana and Runa) were squealing, and were like
"Oh my gosh, what a cute couple!"
"They ship drarry, they're an OTP!"
Or something like that. I was tipsy, what do you want from me? Well that went on until Kiyoko asked us, "Are you actually a couple or are you doing this for fun?"
We paused. We were doing this because we're drunk and we liked each other a lot. (Y/n) smirked.
"Well then, how'd you like to see me Slytherin in your bed after I make you my boyfriend, hm, Shigeru?"
I think he said that because he was drunk... hold on, you can't get drunk by drinking butterbeer. 🤡

The Dog with a Chair
As of now, this story is dropped. It was an excellent learning experience, but the quality suffered too much from me trying new things for me to continue in good concience. Thanks to anyone that read it. I'm leaving this story up as a record of my first ever attempt at publishing something I've wrote. To any new writers out there, remember that even if the stuff you write is trash, you can still learn a lot from writing it. - November 17th 2020 Guy gets involved in advocacy for civil engineering projects, then gets pulled into an interdimensional war. Third person with a focus on one main character (Stanley) with the occasional point of view from another character important to story progression. Writing style tends to shift early on as I figure out how to write (this is my first book). Still learning, hoping to improve. Current style choice is to have a focus on character dialogue/actions with interspersed internal monologue in italics. No current end is set for the story, with the primary goal of this project being to learn to express myself in a written format. Storyline is kept as consistent as practical while covering things I find interesting. Governmental systems are mentioned, but not explained in extreme detail. Sci fi elements are used to reinforce and guide plot progression as I'm able. Personal goals belonging to each character are in the process of being developed, with the hope that they will support or oppose each other in interesting ways later on. Hope you enjoy :)
