《Haikyuu!! x Male reader one-shots》- Yamamoto Taketora -

Even if I'm uninterested most of the time at most things, precisely my education, I'm actually doing pretty well academically. For a matter of fact, I'm the best in my class... which is why my whole class wants to be my partner for this partner project.
"(L/n)-kun, can you be my partner?"
"No, she won't do any work, (L/n)-kun, be my partner."
I sighed. I want nothing to do with these people or the situation I'm stuck in. Can't I just do this independently?
"(Y/n)." A stern voice said. I looked up from my desk to see Yamamoto blushing as he leaned on my desk. I think he pushed the other students out of his way, too. To think he did that for me made me blush as well.
"Yeah?" I asked.
"Be my partner." He said to me.
"Uh, sure." I said. I mean, I don't know any of these people, so Yamamoto would be my best choice as of now. The other students groaned and whined, but they eventually partnered up with each other, leaving us alone.
"OK, so, we're creating a poem." I said to him.
"Yeah. Do you have any ideas?" Yamamoto asked.
"We need to brainstorm ideas first. This is a partner project after all-"

"Alright, class dismissed." the teacher said as he walked out the door.
"Well, we only have two days to work on it, and I have a bigger physics assignment I need to do. We should finish it today." Yamamoto told me. "Can you come to my house today?"
"Sure." I told him. "I'll just tell my sister at lunch, and it's just whatever from there."
.
.
.
Yamamoto and I walked to his house for the project. I had brought many poetry books I had from my house. They're not necessarily in Japanese or English. They're just random collections I kept in my bookshelf overtime. Yamamoto was carrying some as well.

"OK, I'm just saying, but my sister might freak out because of how tall you are, so just look out for that." He said as he opened the door for me.
"OK." I said as we entered the house. Well, he entered with no complications, but I, who is 198.7 cm tall, had to duck a long way down to enter his house.
"I'm home!" He yelled into the house.
"Sorry for intruding." I said semi-loudly.
"Oni-chan, you have a friend over?" I heard a female voice ask as a small girl, probably a junior high student, walked into the entrance hall, only to freak out immediately. "OH MY GOSH, YOU ARE SO TALL!" she screamed.
"Uh... is this what you were talking about?" I asked.
"Yeah. Akane, don't be so rude to my friend!" Yamamoto exclaimed. She sighed.
"Sorry, sir." she apologized.
"It's no problem." I told her.
.
.
.
"Have you ever written any poems before?" Yamamoto asked as we looked through thick books of poetry.
"Yeah. Once."
"About what?" He asked.
"Someone." I answered him.
"Who?" He asked.
"He's my crush, but I don't think he swings my way." I told him.
"You like boys?" He asked, a hint of disappointment can be heard in his voice.
"Yeah. Is there something wrong with that?" I asked.
"No, no. I'm actually pansexual." he came out.
"Oh. That's cool." I smiled.
"But who's your crush?" He asked.
"He's on the team. That's all I'll tell you." I told him.
"Dang! Is it Kuroo-san?" he asked.
"No. Isn't Kuroo-san dating that Tsukishima guy from Karasuno or something?" I asked.
"I don't know. They seem to like each other."
"Yeah." I said as I flipped the page of the book.
"Mhm. Is it Kenma?" he asked.

"No, I don't see Kenma like that."
"Uh, Lev?"
I glared at him in the 'are you serious' look. Yamamoto was my crush. Plus, why would I have a crush on Lev? My elder sister is his sister, Alisa's friend, so it'll be pretty awkward if we ever break up.
"Uh, Fukunaga."
"No, just stop guessing, and let's just do our work."
Yamamoto sighed in defeat, and we went back to doing our work. We each have to write our own poems, and the 'partner' thing was just that we had to write a poem about the same topic. Our topic was 'Someone I adore.' I was going to write a poem to confess to Yamamoto, since he's someone I adored. I don't care if this breaks my heart, though, since I just... can't be bothered to be hurt at this point. I'm already dead inside.
"(Y/n), I have an idea." Yamamoto exclaimed.
"Hm, really?" I asked.
"Yeah! So, we each write a poem about our crushes." I felt a painful sting in my chest as he said that. "And when we have to read it to the class, we can reveal who our crushes are!" he exclaimed.
"Is this some weird alibi for me to reveal who my crush is to you?" I asked.
"Maybe...?"
I sighed. "Well, I was already planning to do that anyway, so sure."
.
.
.
"OK, (L/n)-kun, and Yamamoto-kun, please come up to read your poem for us." The teacher said.
"Yessir." I said, adrenaline, and nerves going everywhere.
"So, our poems are about someone we adore." Yamamoto said to the class, "I'll read mine first."
I anticipated to see who his crush would be, and what his poem would be. This is like one of the first times that I actually cared about something academic.
"He's a price to pay for
He makes everyone want more
Of his endlessly sweet lips
And his attitude flips a dime every hour or so
He'd leave you in a ditch
If he breaks your heart, you'd have to get it stitched
He's gotten me bewitched
He's gotten me crazy over him
Oh, if only to be yours, (Y/n)"
I watched him, bewildered that he even wrote that masterpiece of a poem for me. His face is redder than cinnabar. The whole class was just as shocked as I am.
"O-OK, um," The teacher finally stuttered out a reply. "Why don't we hear your poem, (L/n)-kun."
"Alright, sir." I cleared my throat.
"Oh to have him, I can only wish
I yearn for his touch
I yearn for his kiss
Those ever-so-sweet lips
I wish to have a taste of
His competitiveness, I find alluring
His timid-ness clashes my outgoingness
And though I'll only be dreaming of feeling his love
I would keep dreaming of being one with such a beauty
Because in my eyes,
Taketora is the only one who I find exquisite"
I read. The whole class was silent at this point, until my (twin) sister, Kazuko, squealed.
"I knew you two were pining!" She yelled.
"What?" I scrunch my nose. "Sit down, Kazuko, you have no room to talk, missy, deal with your own relationship problems first."
She defeatedly sat down, still having stars in her eyes.
"Wait- so you like me back?" Yamamoto finally asked.
"Yeah." I told him.
He pulled me out of the room, ignoring the teacher's protests.
"Wait, Yamamoto-" I was interrupted by him pulling me in by my uniform collar, his lips harshly crashing onto mine. I didn't even hesitate to kiss him back, wrapping one hand around his neck, another found its way into his hair. His other hand had placed itself around my back.
"I love you," I said as we broke away.
"Love you too, you dork."
