《Haikyuu!! x Male reader one-shots》- Kyoutani Kentarou -

"Kyoutani, what the hell! You can't just yell at the first years just because they didn't do a perfect set for you!" Yahaba yelled.
"Shut it, Yahaba, I'll do what I want." I said to him as I walked out the gym. "Plus, it was such an easy ball to set, it was like breathing."
"Come back here, Kyoutani!" he yelled.
.
.
.
"Stupid Yahaba." I grumbled as I walked to the old volleyball gym some people in their mid twenties used. Upon walking in, there was a pretty tall guy with (h/l) (h/c) hair, and (smooth/rough/etc) (s/c) skin who seemed to be in a high school setting for another guy with short-ish (h/c) hair, and very slightly tan skin in his twenties or thirties. His set was... more than perfection. It was just like Oikawa's sets.
"Thanks for helping out, (Y/n)." The man said.
"It's no bother dad, plus thank you for letting me practice with you. I really can't get along with my team." The boy named (Y/n) shook his head.
"It's alright, buddy." The father smiled as he patted the boy's head. "I'll be right back. Do you want anything?"
"Just water." He said as he grabbed the ball that his father had spiked to the otherside of the net.
I looked at the boy. Now I saw his hypnotizing (e/c) eyes, a (whatever design you want) tattoo, and some sweat prints. I blushed a light shade of red, and decided to approach him.
"Hey, can you set for me?" I asked, slightly embarrassed, as I walked towards him.
"Hm, sure. How high do you want it to be?" He asked as he tossed me the ball.
"Around as high as the one you set for your dad," I told the boy.
He nodded. "Alright. Ready when you are." He said.
I tossed him the ball, he set it just how I liked, I spiked it just perfectly.
"Hell yeah!" I exclaimed.
(Y/n) chuckled. "I like your vibe, man. What's your name?" He asked.

"Kyoutani." I told him. "Third year. And you?"
He smiled. "I'm (Y/n), first year."
"I see. That was a good set. Better than any first year I've known." I told him.
"Thanks. I actually just started playing this year after my cousin convinced me to." he said. "But I didn't get along with my captain, so I'm practicing with my dad for a while." He informed me.
"Can I... practice with you too?" I asked.
"Sure." He relaxedly said as he walked away.
.
.
.
It became a sort of routine for me to visit this gym to practice with (Y/n), and his dad. I am officially in love with his sets. They're just perfect. The only question is what school he goes to. An amazing setter like him might go to Karasuno or Date Tech. I just wish he came to Seijoh, I'd love that. I love him... say, it's almost Interhigh tournaments again, which means two things. One, I'll find out what school he goes to, and two I'll have to go play with my team again.
.
.
.
"Alright, interhigh tournaments are coming up, and-" Yahaba was interrupted by my slamming the door open.
"Oh, Kyoutani. You finally decided to join us." Watari smiled.
"Yeah." I rolled my eyes.
"Anyways, as I was saying, interhigh tournaments are coming up, and we shouldn't overwork ourselves to the point that we get injured. We will have to focus some more on defense if we want to beat Shiratorizawa, and we have to do some more offense, and wild stuff." Yahaba said. "I heard from a whistleblower that Shiratorizawa has up-ed their offense now that Ushijima graduated with their captain, Shirabu's help. They also apparently have another first year on the starting line-up. He's a setter, so watch out."
I blinked. It's very rare that Shiratorizawa's coach lets a first year on the starting line-up. He must be extremely skillful.
.
.
.
"Local Sport News, Miyagi's Interhigh Premlins, Aoba Johsai won against Date Tech high. It is slightly unexpected, as Date Tech had just won last year's Spring high tournaments Miyagi's representative, Karasuno high. I must say, the rematch between Shiratorizawa high school, and Aoba Johsai will be intense. What do you say (other newscaster name)?"

"I must say, the face-off between them will be very exciting to watch, but as of now, we're still in the waiting."
I turned off the TV that my brother was watching.
"Why're you watching the TV? Don't you have homework to do, Koizumi?" I asked him.
"Yeah I do! I just wanted to watch you, though. You were on TV just now." He smiled. I smiled back.
"Cool, but I'm not sure if we'll win Shiratorizawa." I told him.
Koizumi went silent, probably pouting at me. "Hmph! Oh yeah, Ken-nii, don't you have a boy you practiced with? You don't ever tell me stories of him anymore."
"Hm, you mean (Y/n)?"
"Yeah!"
"Well, we've been busy lately. I kind of miss him, though," I sighed as I thought of him.
"Ken-nii! Your face is so red... wait do you like (Y/n)-san-nii?" Koizumi asked genuinely.
"Ah, shit, I got busted." I sighed more.
"Nii-san, mom said if you do that, you'll get wrinkles by twenty!"
.
.
.
I walked into the stadium with the others on the team. I looked at Shiratorizawa. They're not here yet, but we were earlier than them, so they're not late. Currently, the team is doing spiking practice as we speak. Yahaba passed me the ball. I tossed it to him, he set it a bit too high, I barely spiked the ball.
"Why can't you set a bit lower?" I asked, frustrated.
"Hey, I'm sorry, but I never practiced with you, meaning I don't know your tempo, and how high you like the ball to be." Yahaba told.
"Whatever." I grumbled. I wish there was another setter like Oikawa or (Y/n).
Just then, Shiratorizawa busted through the door. The first people we saw entering the door were the Shiratorizawa third years, some second years, and first years. To my slight surprise, the last two people to enter were Goshiki, the ace after Ushijima, and (Y/n). They were talking, and joking around, it had me kind of jealous.
.
.
.
I spiked the ball to Shiratorizawa's side, why can't Yahaba's sets be perfect like (Y/n), Kageyama or Oikawa? Whatever.
The captain, Shirabu went to get the ball.
"(L/n)!" He yelled.
My crush set the ball. "Oi, Tsutomu! Get the ball!" he yelled. The first name basis made me even more jealous.
"Yep, I got it!" Goshiki yelled as he spiked it over to us.
Kunimi received it quickly, passed it to Yahaba who set it up so that Kindaichi could spike it. Shiratorizawa's middle blocker, Kawanishi, got the ball.
"(L/n), get it!"
Said male nodded.
"Yunohama-san!" He yelled out.
.
.
.
I panted out, tired of that intensely long duel. We lost by two points. The referee signalled for us to go shake hands with Shiratorizawa. I got to shake hands with (Y/n)
"Good game." He said.
"You never said you went to Shiratorizawa." I said.
"You never told me you went to Seijoh either." He scoffed.
"Whatever... is Goshiki your boyfriend or something?" I asked.
(Y/n) blinked. "No, we're cousins. He's the one that got me into volleyball. Why, are you jealous?" He asked.
"... No."
"Sure, sure. Anyways, same time tomorrow?" He asked.
"Yeah. I miss spiking your sets."
"I miss setting for you as well-"
"Oi, (L/n), come on!" Shirabu, the setter captain yelled out.
"Sorry, Kentarou. I'll see you later." He said as he walked away, but not before gently kissing my forehead from underneath the net.
"I-" was all I managed to stutter out.
.
.
.
"Looks like Shiratorizawa's setter is the only setter that Kyoutani gets along with." Watari commented.
"Yeah, seems so." Yahaba sighed. "Whatever, let's go get changed, Tari-babe."
