Summer after high school when we first met
We'd make out in your Mustang to Radiohead
And on my 18th birthday we got matching tattoos
Used to steal your parents' liquor and climb to the roof
Talk about our future like we had a clue
I walked into the college I had attended for a few months now. It's almost our summer break, which will allow me to have some free time on my hands. I was actually planning to visit the team with Asahi, Suga, and Kiyoko on our summer break, but that's not the most exciting thing that'll happen. My boyfriend, (L/n) (Y/n) would come to visit me later in the summer break, after we visit Karasuno, which is grand since he studied at Harvrd, and has basically lived in England his whole life. He almost never comes to Japan, which made it pretty cool that he's coming to visit. We actually discussed getting matching tattoos. Just a small matching heart or something similar. I smiled at that, and continued to walk to my class.
.
.
.
I stood at the airport waiting for (Y/n). His flight just landed, and he had to get his visa checked, and get his bag at the luggage claim. I was reading Normal People by Sally Rooney, when I felt arms wrapping themselves around my shoulder.
"Oh, Daichi-senpai." A smug, flirty voice whispered in my left ear. I looked up to face a (h/l) (h/c) haired boy with (e/c) eyes, and a body that looked like it just enrolled itself into a modeling agency, all those traits could only be found in one person that I knew; (L/n) (Y/n).
"(Y/n)," I said, flustered.
"Did I make you wait too long? I was in the bathroom." (Y/n) informed.
"Oh, it's fine. I just got here half an hour ago." I chuckled.

"Cool. Anyway, it's good to finally see you again, Dai-kun." (Y/n) told me.
"Likewise. Let's put your bag away, yeah?"
"Yeah, let's do that."
And with that, I had put (Y/n)'s bag in my mustang's trunk, started the engine, and drove to my house while (Y/n) connected his phone to my car's Bluetooth only to play some British rock music.
"I can't believe I'm in Japan, honestly. It's been way too long." (Y/n) smiled as he let his hair blow in the wind that was rushing against us in the mustang.
"I can't believe you're here either. It's been quite a long while." I smiled.
.
.
.
"You taste like (fav. Flavour)." (Y/n) stated as he licked his lips. Daichi panted for a while after the long make-out session they just had. "Do you think that was enough for your thirst, senpai?" (Y/n) asked. Daichi hated the fact that one of (Y/n) many specialties was his ability to press the right buttons when the time comes. Like this time, where they had just broken apart for some air after they had made out in Daichi's Mustang to Radiohead.
"That would be more than enough, (Y/n)." Daichi panted out.
"That's great. Hmm, uh, so you remember how we discussed maybe getting matching tattoos sometime?" (Y/n) asked.
"Oh, yeah, of course." Daichi answered.
"Hm, well, I was thinking maybe we should get them this weekend, since we're probably not seeing each other again in a long while." (Y/n) said as he lit a cigarette.
"Sure, I don't mind." Daichi said.
And getting matching tattoos, they did. They got matching puzzle tattoos with their initials in the puzzle pieces. The lovers loved their tattoos and each other, and to celebrate this amazing occasion, they drank some liquor that they totally didn't steal from Daichi's parents' fridge.

"What do you think you'll do in the future?" (Y/n) asked Daichi out of the blue.
"Hm, I don't know, maybe I'll marry you." Daichi answered.
"Maybe..." (Y/n) smiled as he drank more of his drink. "I just wanted to say, thank you so much for making my life awesome. If other lives exist, I hope to be yours again in it." he smiled warmly. Something felt off to Daichi, but he couldn't quite put his finger on it. It just felt off, and... painful.
Never planned that one day I'd be losing you
It's been a few months since that summer break. Daichi had forgotten (Y/n)'s statement to him. He couldn't wait to call (Y/n). Just then, his phone rang.
"Hello?" Daichi answered the phone. It was from (Y/n)'s number.
"Hello, are you Mr. Daichi?" A female voice asked in a british accent.
"Oh, yes, why?" He asked, a little confused. How did this lady get his boyfriend's phone?
"..." the other side of the phone went silent. "You're (Y/n)'s boyfriend, correct, sir?" she asked.
"Oh, yeah... why?" Daichi asked, now a little freaked.
"I'm his roommate's sister. I-I'm sorry for your loss. (Y/n) had commit suicide by cutting the radial artery of his arms, and subsequently drowned in his bath." the lady said. "I've called the paramedics, but they were too late."
Daichi's whole world had then crumbled right before his eyes. Never would he think he'd ever lose the love of his life to something like this.
"... he-he's dead?" Daichi asked, not knowing how to react. He was pretty much in denial.
"I'm so sorry, sir." She said. "I have to go now."
.
.
.
Daichi stood a feet away from (Y/n)'s stone. He didn't want to believe this had happened. He didn't want to believe this was reality. The love of his life, gone just like that. He looked at a picture of (Y/n) that they left in the cemetery. Never would he think the (L/n) (Y/n) would commit suicide... he had such a bright future, such an amazing soccer team recruiting him. Daichi had mourned over his loss ever since. He hasn't checked his phone ever since he came to England for the funeral. He had multiple missed calls from his college roommate, his siblings, his mom, heck, some worried teachers and friends called to see why he was gone for a week now.
"Hello, Mr. Daichi." A familiar female voice greeted. Daichi looked up.
"Hello, miss...?" Daichi trailed off.
"Oh, I'm Harper Taylor." Ms. Taylor introduced herself.
"Oh, I see." Daichi said.
"... I'm not one to intrude, but I think you should check your last message from (Y/n)." Ms. Taylor suggested.
"Oh... alright, miss." Daichi said. He wasn't actually sure if he should, but Ms. Taylor was the last one who was on (Y/n)'s phone, so she would most likely know. He opened the message app solely for finding (Y/n)'s contact. Daichi clicked on his boyfriend's contact, and once he saw what was typed for him, he cried.
"In another life,
I would be your boy.
We'd keep all our promises
Be us against the world." Daichi mumbled.
"In another life,
I know you'd make me stay
So you don't have to say I were
The one that got away
The one that got away..."

Bitter
The story of a girl who finds her life is not what she wanted. So she gets another one. Schedule: Story has been completed. Book One is available free on Amazon and EPUB. Books Two to Five are out now. Final Book out soon. Chapters will be around 500-1000 words. This will not change so if you don't like reading very short chapters wait till the end of the week or even end of the month. This many chapters a week isn't easy to pull off so please bear that in mind. This is a VRMMORPG story, but the ones I've read tend to use VR as an excuse to get into a fantasy world and then don't really play up the game aspect other than pulling up a status screen every now and then. To me, MMOs are about more than the fantasy setting. Bugs, exploits, devs who don't understand their own game, OP classes, over the top nerfs, p2w, ridiculous RNG, cash shop fiasco, lockboxes, raging players, broken mechanics, limited bag space, tedious crafting and above all that, a company trying to squeeze money out if its playerbase while pretending they're just in the business of having fun. Of course, then there's the orcs and elves. This story is about finding yourself in a completely immersive fantasy game, but it's also about what a game like that would really be like.
