《Haikyuu!! x Male reader one-shots》-Miya Atsumu-

(L/n) (Y/n); the almost typical pessimistic, and quiet kid in Atsumu's class. For whatever reason, the pessimist always seems to peak Atsumu's interest. Why was he so pessimistic? Atsumu always wanted to know why (Y/n) acted the way he did. He was a disconnected, cold, and shut out person in Atsumu's opinion, and he made it a mission to understand the pessimist more ever since he met him. Atsumu's obsession towards (Y/n) was a crush, he has a crush on the pessimistic boy. It always seemed like (Y/n) was an impossible person to befriend, which was around the truth. He was, as Atsumu thought, a shut out, cold, disconnected, and pessimistic person, but Atsumu didn't include depressed, and suicidal into the list. He didn't want friends, he didn't need friends, and he saw no purpose in having any friends. The part that sucked for (Y/n) was that his parents who both are setters, wanted him to play volleyball as well as they did. (Y/n) is a setter who could almost top Atsumu in skills, but he put in no effort for volleyball, as he wasn't interested in it. He was always unenergetic, and uninterested in volleyball, so he was always a sub for when the team played. Not like he cared, though. But his parents, on the other hand, did not take it so well, and required that (Y/n) practice more so he could be on the starting line-up. Now that you know the story between (Y/n), the pessimist, and Atsumu, the energetic, and outgoing setter, why don't we see how they are?
"Samu, you know (Y/n)?" Atsumu asked his twin. The Miya twins were doing homework when Atsumu was thinking of the pessimist.
"(Y/n)... oh your little crush?" Osamu asked.
"Yeah, sure, him. Lately he's been more pessimistic than usual." Atsumu pointed out.
"Really? Why are you telling me this?" Osamu asked.
"Ugh, be a little concerned for your future brother in law, Samu!"
"OK, OK. So what about it? Maybe he's just been down in the dumps or something. You should just go talk to him." Osamu told Atsumu as he wrote down the answer for his math homework.

"Oh yeah. I definitely didn't already do that, and he definitely didn't tell me to "Shut up, and mind my own business."" Atsumu rolled his eyes.
"Damn, he told you off? He's never told you off, he just walks away usually right?" Osamu asked.
"Yeah, I'm telling you, Samu; something's up."
"... yeah something's probably up. Why don't you keep an eye on him?" Osamu suggested.
"Yeah, I plan on doing that." Atsumu told him.
At practice, Atsumu stole a glance at (Y/n). He was just doing his usual. He was setting, but this time it looked like he was putting in effort, which almost never happened. The whole team was shocked, understandably, as (Y/n) was never a person who was interested in volleyball. Atsumu thought that (Y/n) might've actually started to take an interest in volleyball, and was happy.
"Those are some good sets, (Y/n)!" Atsumu exclaimed.
"OK..." (Y/n) said as he walked away. He continued his sets but not before he tipped over, and fell on his face.
"Oh god, are you OK?" Suna asked.
(Y/n) sighed frustratedly, and just walked to the bathroom to wash the blood dripping from his nose.
Curse my life, I hate it. The only reason I'm even doing this is because I want mum, and dad to be happy before I leave them in this world. I truly don't belong here, Atsumu is so much better at setting than I am. I know when I leave everyone would just be better, and happier. Meanwhile I'll be somewhere 6 feet under, happy that I'm finally dead. I turned on the water faucet, and washed off my bloody nose. Does Atsumu really think I'm good at setting? Hah, no way, he's just saying it so he can befriend me. I really don't want him to be the reason I can't move on with life. I know he wants to befriend me, so I don't wanna hurt him by being his friend, then dying. I love him too much for that, so it's just better this way. I used a tissue to wipe off the last bit of blood, and I went back to practice.

...
I couldn't help but feel like someone was staring at me the whole day. It's extremely annoying. And I think I know exactly who's staring.
"Hey!" Speak of the devil.
"Yes, Atsumu?" I annoyedly asked.
"Can I sit here?" He asked.
"Go sit with Osamu, and Suna." I deadpanned.
"Please?"
"No."
"Please?"
"No."
"Pretty please with a cherry on top?"
I stared at him, dumbfounded at how determined Atsumu was, but still shook my head.
"No is no, Atsumu. Go to Samu, and Suna." I said as I got up, and walked away.
"Wait!" He yelled as he ran up to me.
"What?" I asked.
"If there's anything bothering you, you can talk to me about it, alright?" Atsumu smiled.
I looked at him, and sighed. "Whatever."
...
"Alright, class, you'll be getting your test results back," (female teacher's name)-sensei announced. I was at the edge of my seat for the test, but I was completely let down when I received a paper with a big 'F' marked in red on the page.
"I've always deemed you as a decent person when it comes to grades, (L/n)-san. How disappointing. Meet me after class." She said as she walked away. I stared in disbelief as she walked to hand the other students their papers. An F, wow. I guess she's right, though. How disappointing of me, I hate myself. I wanna quit. Life's been such a downwards spiral since Veronica's plane crashed. Then mum, and dad put so much pressure on me, the bankrupted company that dad worked at, the company that fired mom... this F. I'm quitting.
.
.
.
I guess this is it. This is how I end it all; with a jump off Inarizaki high.
"Welp, bye mum, and dad... maybe I'll get to see you at the funeral..." I smiled, and climbed the safety railings.
"Miya-senpai~!" (random fangirl's name) shouted. I hid behind the stairs to go up the rooftop, and the girl ran off to chase "me". I sighed as she ran off, and walked to the rooftop. As I closed the door, I was met with one of the most horrific scenes ever; (Y/n) about to jump off the school building.
"Wait, no!" I screamed.
(Y/n) turned around, and I saw all of it. The tears, and the pain he's felt.
"What?" he asked.
"Don't go, please... I-I don't think I'd be able to function without you." I admitted as I felt some tears rolling down my cheeks.
"Why? You barely even know me." (Y/n) bitterly spat.
"Yeah, but I love you... so please, don't go!" I sniffed.
"... fine then. Just because I love you too." He sighed as he climbed back into the building.
"Hold on, you like me too?!" I yelled.
"Yeah, shut up about it," he said as he blushed, and pushed me away.
"I love you!"
"I know, moron!"
"Hey, (Y/n), you seem... happier? Are you OK?" Kita asked me.
"Yeah? I am, why?" I asked him as I taped up my finger.
"Most of the time you seem bored, and uninterested, and it got me curious." Kita told me.
"Eh, I just finally got interested, that's all. Thank you, though." I thanked him as I walked to Atsumu.
"So, what did Kita say?" Atsumu asked.
"If I'm OK." I answered him as I got my bag.
"Well, I'm glad you're doing better. By the way, are we telling Samu today?" he asked.
"Sure." I answered him.
...
"Hey Samu!" Atsumu exclaimed.
"Hm, yeah? Oh what's (Y/n) doing here?" Osamu asked.
"Yeah, uhm, we're together," I told him as I drank some more (drink).
"... are you serious?"
