"Good news! We're having a practice match with Fukurodani next week, everyone!" Takeda-sensei announced. "They have a new middle blocker, and they wanted to see if he could block our quick attack."
"Interesting," I thought.
"Hell, yeah! We're gonna beat them up!" Tanaka yelled, but I just walked away, ignoring him.
Today Fukurodani should be here to do that practice match for their new middle blocker. They arrived on time, and oh my gosh, their new blocker is a sight to behold. He has (h/l), and (neat/messy/fluffy/etc) (h/c) hair, and glowing (e/c) eyes. He's gotten me captivated, that's for sure. I couldn't keep my eyes off him, it was a tragic blessing.
What if what happened to Tetsurou happens to him, hmm? What are you gonna do then, Kei?
What the- leave me alone already! You've taken him away from me already, don't you have enough?
No, you must suffer. All the people you love will die in every way. HAHAHAHAHAHA
No, please!
HAHAHAHAHA
No... I won't let that happen... not to him...
"Hello, I'm (L/n) (Y/n)," (Y/n) introduced himself before the practice match started.
"Tsukishima Kei," I smiled the most warm smile I could manage.
I was looking around for (Y/n), but he was nowhere to be found. I heard someone sing Fuyu no Hanashi outside the gym. I decided to check it out because I'm always reminded of Tetsurou when I listen to it.
"mada toke kirezu ni nokotta

The person singing it was (Y/n) with the most beautiful voice you could ever imagine. He turned around to look at me, then flinched.
"Ah, I'm sorry if I scared you," I told him.
"No worries..." he smiled.
"I really wanna learn that song, could you teach me?" I asked.
"Sure!" he exclaimed. "I'll go get my things first."
"OK, we can go to my house."
"Alright then!"
We went to my house while (Y/n) was humming Fuyu no Hanashi, and we were talking about random things that came to mind.
"I just started playing volleyball a few months ago. I was actually a footvolley player, but then the team sent me to play volleyball because I was tall, and could jump high or something." (Y/n) chuckled. I hummed in response.
"My brother, Akiteru is a spiker. I didn't really like the idea of being like him as a kid, because I didn't want to rival my brother. It was pretty dumb, but now I'm a middle blocker," I smiled.
"That's great! My parents didn't want me to play sports, or anything. They're politicians, and they want me to study politics mainly. I actually played sports only because the school forced me to. And my sister is a singer! She was the one who taught me how to sing Fuyu no Hanashi because she was addicted to Given, and made me sing it with her," (Y/n) explained.
"See, my ex, and I used to watch Given together, but then he suddenly killed himself. It was all so sudden, but it's OK. I've moved on," I smiled.
"Oh, I'm sorry that happened."
"Nah, it's fine."
Once we got to my house, (Y/n) started giving me vocal lessons about how to sing the song perfectly.
"It's pretty late, I should go now," (Y/n) smiled, and got up.

"No,"
"Excuse me?"
"Don't go..." I whispered. What the, no- what?
Hahahahahahaha, you wanted him to stay, right? This is the only way to make him stay.
What the hell, no! Let him go home!
"I'm sorry, Tsukishima, but I really have to go. My parents are probably wondering where I am right now. How about I visit you this weekend?"
"There's no need to visit, when you're staying, right?"
"Uh, well, you're right, but, uh..." (Y/n) said, shaking as he stepped back a bit, and eyes averting from my now evil eyes.
"Exactly... I should've told you this, but I know one song. I used to sing it with my ex as well... do you want to hear it?" I asked as I stepped closer to (Y/n).
"Uh, sure..."
"boku wo tsuretette
shimi konde shimau mae ni
mienai mama tsukamitai to ka
douse kanawanai kara sa
te wa zutto nurete ite
itsuka otoshite shimau koto
mada kizuite nakatta", I sang.
I heard (Y/n) gulp, and looked up at me, then pushed the door open for a running start. What he didn't know was that there was another way to the front door, a shorter way. I walked to my closet that had a door in it, and walked down a staircase leading down stairs, and it opened to the random door that we had in the entrance hall of our house. I locked the door there with a sliding lock that we had. Only Akiteru, and I had the height to reach there, as it was almost 2 meters high. (Y/n) was about the same height as Daichi, and has a high jump, but even his jump won't reach the sliding lock. I walked away calmly, and got a key from a drawer. I started to lock all the doors, and windows I could find while (Y/n) is, what I assume is doing, jumping, and trying to reach the lock. While I was doing all that I was still singing the lyrics to the song Lost Umbrella. Tetsurou sang, and listened to this song, and Fuyu No Hanashi repetitively just a few weeks before his suicide. The two songs always stuck with me for whatever reason. I think about it sometimes. Tetsurou could've been hinting for me to talk him down by using these suicide-themed songs, but I've never gotten the message, and he finally gave up.
"Please let me go home! I just want to see my family, and friends again!" (Y/n) sobbed. I ignored him, and continued to sing it until the song was over.
"Please, I'll do anything! Just let me go..."
"I'm afraid I can't do that, (Y/n)... I can't let anything happen to you... I'm your only family now..."
"Jesus!" I screamed.
"Kei, can you be quiet? I'm trying to sleep..." (Y/n) hoarsely said.
"Sorry, buttercup," I apologized.
"Hmm, why were you screaming anyway?" he asked.
"I had a nightmare where I became a psycho yandere. Say, is there a song called Fuyu No Hanashi?" I asked.
"How does it go?"
"Mada toke kirezu ni nokotta
Hikage no yuki mitai na
Omoi wo daite ikiteru
Nee, boku wa kono koi wo
Donna kotoba de tojitara ī no," I sang.
"Uh, not that I know of. By the way, the anime version of a manga called Given is coming out today. Wanna watch it?" (Y/n) asked with a stupid grin on his face.
"Given...? Sure," I smiled.
(Y/n) immediately shot up from his sleeping position, and walked to the bathroom.
"Wait!" I called out.
"Yeah?"
"If you ever need to talk, I'm here, OK?"
"Looks like that nightmare of yours took a toll on ya, hmm? And yeah, I will, thanks..." (Y/n) smiled. I walked up, and hugged him.
"Don't ever leave me, alright?"
"I won't," (Y/n) promised.

Until You Do It Right
The world ended on December thirty-first of the year two thousand and twenty, precisely at the stroke of midnight. The human race began to be systematically exterminated by the spawn of the System. We were given a chance to defeat them, to take back our place at the top of the food chain. We failed. The first to perish were those who bravely rebelled. The soldiers. The defenders. One by one, they fell. In their final moments, they begged for aid. Nobody replied. The next to succumb were those who feebly cowered. The deniers. The leeches. Together, they fell. In their final moments, they cried out into the darkness. Countless voices replied in kind. The last to decline were those who shamelessly ran. The deserters. The cowardly. Alone, they fell. In their final moments, they whimpered quietly. There was nobody left to answer. The final human to die was a survivor. A runner. As he died, he begged for salvation. His prayers were answered. He was offered a chance to save himself, along with all of humanity, and he took it. This is his story. “I sat in the dark and thought: There’s no big apocalypse. Just an endless procession of little ones.”― Neil Gaiman, Signal to Noise. I am absolutely new to writing and will take any and all constructive criticism. Please give feedback, it is greatly appreciated. I will update the tags as they change, and I hope that you enjoy this little story I'm writing! Quick warning: Seamus is intentionally a flawed character, and this story is going to explore those flaws and perhaps even change a few of them. I do not agree with all of his actions, but it is what it is.
