《Gone Boy》18

Midoriya felt slightly better that he had cleaned up the base. He wanted the best for the "villains." They deserved better than what he could do but he was weak and just barely was able to lift Kurogiri up the stairs.
But there was still one more person to go after, and all he had to do was sneak into the prison in the dead of night.
It had been a few days since he killed the League. He took an extra day to mourn in their base, but now he was ready.
They were the victims of society. They were human.
They were manipulated to feel like monsters.
Time to kill the manipulator.
And he won't have an easy death, because he knew what he did.
He knew children and young adults suffer and don't know how to cope. Yet the true villain of society relied on that to gather them into a suicide mission.
Midoriya wasn't stupid. He saw through most of society's lies. Afterall, he is useless too.
Midoriya is a reborn quirkless. He knew the ins and outs of how to disinfect wounds. He knew how to treat third degree burns during and after he got them. He knew how to hide emotions and tuck them away. He knew to stay quiet. He knew that quirks were everything. He knew that quirks meant nothing.
He knew that he was below.
Society's standards had plummeted. And this caused him to become the final stage of execution.
After saving the villains and civilians in this mission, he knew what else to terminate.
So when he reached the highly secured prison, he stared determinedly.
Being immune would help him out tenfold. He felt somewhat happy for being useful in this predicament.
At least now he is actually helping.
Eri and Mirio are safe.

Atsuhiro, Iguchi, Jin, Toga, Touya, and Tenko were in a safe haven. They were free.
All Might was retired and healing.
No one would need him. Midoriya was just baggage.
So by the time he got out of his thoughts he was halfway to the room. He saw some guards in his quest but just hid in a hallway or extra room. Finally, after knocking out a handful of annoying officers, Midoriya made it to the guarded room.
However there were three guards standing in front of the door.
The one to the right was slumped over, sleeping. And the other that was across from the door was also knocked out, but laying on his side.
The remaining one looked at Midoriya, shrugged, and moved stiffly to the door.
Hidden agent?
Midoriya didn't understand. But he also didn't try. The officer managed to bypass the handprint feature and even held the door open for the boy.
There was a soft look on the man's features. An almost pitiful look. Like he knew the outcome of it all. However the man's stare was blank, Midoriya was just that good at reading people.
The instinct quirk had taken over the man, but Midoriya could still read the man like a book.
Midoriya walked into the visitor room. All he needed to do now was break the glass. Though the glass is meant to be practically unbreakable, Midoriya knew it was enhanced by quirks. And since he is immune to anything to do with quirks, he feels like it will be easy.
On his off day he had researched Tartarus. He found out that to keep ruckus down, they tended to add sleeping medications to the higher up villain's dinner. That way there is a less chance of someone breaking out at night as well as a more controlled environment. This means All for One is out cold. There will be no struggle.

Midoriya looked at the glass, leaning forward to press his hand on it. Since he was immune to the enhancing quirks, he could theoretically punch through it like regular glass.
He pushed his arm back and hit once.
It gave a little, his partial reflection wobbling slightly. He punched the glass again.
A small crack formed.
He punched it a third time. Another crack, the size of his fist appeared.
One more should do it.
He rammed his fist into the glass one final time and it cracked into an intact web before gravity took effect. A hole big enough for the lanky teen to crawl through had formed.
And he crawled through it with minimum pain.
However he completely disregarded the blood he left on the floor and glass. The same blood that came from the flesh ripping off his fist.
He made his way to All for One.
The man who ended countless lives.
Killed countless people.
The man who was a manipulator.
The man who manipulated the League.
The league who were just kids and young adults.
The man who branded All Might with a wound so painful, it limited the hero to minimal movement.
The man who stole from the weak and forced his chosen people to become strong.
The man who had still planned to kill more.
Midoriya felt anger bubble up in his gut. This man was the one exception.
This man was no longer human.
Midoriya's scarred fingers twitched with frustration as he steps closer to the most powerful villain. He slowly slides off the oxygen mask, and walked behind the man.
He wraps his hand around the man's head and shoulder. In a split second there was a gasp, a pull, then finally a snap.
All for One had forcibly awoken from his deep sleeping medicine. He gasped, putting the dots together.
He was going to die.
And not even a second later, Midoriya had snapped his neck. The man slumped over, blood pouring out of the newly ripped skin.
Midoriya sighed, his hands shaking as he stared at the limp body. The adult was slumped backward, head limply hanging at a backward angle.
Midoriya was in shock, and began walking out of the prison. The guard that let him in stared off into space at his post. As Midoirya left, he closed the door and five minutes later shook his head, finally getting out of the trance he was in.
That was number five.

Horizon
Emiluna is about to turn 16 and gain access to her first two classes. Living in a small village in the middle of nowhere, she always wanted to become a Hunter. Having learned a bit under her parents, a miller and a seamstress, she was sure she could never pick a class that meant staying inside all day. But being a Hunter is more than just a class. It means providing meat for the village, culling small pests near the cultivated fields and most importantly guarding the village from predators and monsters. But Emiluna is not a normal girl and her destiny far bigger than she could have ever imagined.Join her as she finds out what awaits just behind the horizon.[Word from the author]I am looking to create a fantasy world that has some logic to it and stays believable even as characters gain power and progress in levels.Classes and level quantify the people's progress, but they do not artificially inflate their power to demi-god levels. I am primarily trying to write a captivating story, not "power-porn". That means it will be slower than the fast burning litRPG you might be used to, but it won't burn out that quickly either and I won't drop half of my plots at the wayside. I should mention that English is not my native language. I hope it is mostly unnoticeable, but sometimes I manage to slip some awkard sentence structure in there (German sometimes puts things together in reverse). It it also my first time writing an actual fantasy novel and the first time writing anything at length in English. Any constructive feedback is very welcome.Credit where credit is due: Cover picture by Paul Bica (Licensed under CC 2.0)Check out his amazing photos here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/dexxusYes, my cover picture is a photo, not a drawing. :D I might try my hand at some Paint-ification later to add the title.[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

Starchild
“It’s life’s illusions I recall. I really don’t know life at all.” from the song, Both Sides Now, by Joni Mitchell Starchild is an adventure novel set within an understanding of reality that is rooted in Eastern spiritual traditions. It takes as its starting point experiments in remote viewing that were genuinely undertaken by the American military in the nineteen-nineties under the name of the Stargate Project. It then imagines how a more advanced attempt to weaponise the capabilities of consciousness might have been developed in the present day.The story then explores how Ultimate Reality might respond to such a threat.Deep, elemental forces thus bring together Samantha Martin and Sahadeva Varma, old colleagues from the Stargate Project, to avert the apocalyptic consequences of this military attempt to weaponise consciousness. This fast-paced story spans genres including romance, action, adventure, science fiction and more. Although this story is based on concepts drawn from established spiritual traditions, these have sometimes been extrapolated to the point of very extreme speculation for the needs of an adventure story.Much of the underlying philosophy, however, as explained in the dharma talks given by Samantha Martin, is paraphrased from the guidance of respected spiritual teachers. Scheduling: Starchild is a previously unpublished novel of one hundred thousand words which was serialised in weekly instalments over twenty-five weeks from 15th November 2021 to the 29th April 2022. Each instalment contains five chapters – an average of approximately four thousand words in each instalment.
