"You seem rather.. Busy." you shrieked, jumping in surprise along with dramatically placing your hand over to where your chest is. Turning around to see Sugawara with a visible teasing expression along with his usual soft smile. Letting out a quick sigh of relief that it wasn't some kind of stranger that wanted to strangle you to death, you slapped his chest with a small glare and pout, slightly annoyed that he just suddenly popped up out of the blue.

Rolling your eyes as he lets out a small laugh and a mutter of apology, he glanced over to where you got back to looking like before. Following your gaze in just to see Daichi and the girl's volleyball team former captain, Yui. Sugawara hummed curiously, his gaze flickering to both You and Daichi repeatedly like he was thinking of why you were standing well - more like hiding behind a corner to just stalk the two volleyball players.

Once something clicked into the setter's mind, a invisible light bulb popped up as he snapped his fingers, feeling victory the moment he realised what was going on. With a smirk plastered on, he leaned down closer to your ear - "Are you perhaps jealous?" you squeaked in surprise, cheeks flushed red in embarassment as you turned to face the chuckling male.

Clicking your tounge, you let out a huff at the same time crossing your arms. "Why would I be jealous of them? I'm not trying to eavesdrop or anything.." though despite on how believable you sound right now, the setter was not taking it. So he simply grinned, shrugging. "Then why are you here hiding?" you bit your lower lip, trying to think of a good excuse but so far found none coming into your mind.

As soon as your silence was visible to Sugawara, he laughed quietly, preventing himself to make a loud noise so that Daichi wouldn't notice the two creeping up on them. Patting your head along with a soft smile on his face, he snickered. "You don't need so be emulous of the two Y/n, your his girlfriend already." sighing, you let his hand stay on your head as you turned to look back at the two - enjoying each other's company.

Well, let's be real here. Despite being Daichi's girlfriend and all that, he seemed to be spending his time on Yui instead of you. Cancelling plans, dates or even walking you home weren't in his schedule or mind nowadays.

Its just volleyball and Yui inside his head, making you wonder if you're the lover or she was. You don't even know anymore if you needed to be honest. Of course the more greedy you became towards the make captain, you grew slightly envious of the female one. Constantly glaring at her from a far everytime her back was turned away from you.

Her feelings was undeniably perceptible, you could easily guess who she had admired and took a liking for. It was blindly obvious the moment you see how she batted her eyes rather lovingly towards your lover, not to mention her friends being supportive and hyping her up in the background whenever she had the time to talk to him.

You grew more anxious and worried that Daichi may possibly leave you for her. Considering both of them had similar likings and even the same position as each other [as captains] , if your relationship with him wasn't public then the school would've assumed Yui was his girlfriend instead of you from how close they are.

A finger snapping infront of your face was enough to snap you out of your deep thought and state, glancing beside you to see Sugawara looking at you with a distraught expression. "Are you okay?" he asked, a frown making its way to his lips as he eyes you. Looking around to see if anything untoward has happened to you.

Realising you've been spaced out for too long, you let out a reassuring chuckle. Waving your hand, "Ah sorry, just deep in thought." instead of making Sugawara feel better, you made his concern grow even wider.

"Are you sure?!" He exclaims, his eyes showing visible panic as you pat his shoulder. "I'm fine mom, I'm fine." you repeated, smiling brightly which seemed to have relieved him. Glancing back to where Yui and Daichi was, you frowned as you see the male captain offer to walk her to class. Making you let out a heavy sigh, turning back to Suga who also seemed to notice the sudden disappearance of the two captains.

"I'll see you later," You gave him a quick grin, your hands waving farewell to the setter as you continued on your own way, not bothering to let Sugawara offer to walk you to class since you would just turn it down out of sadness anyways.

The male watched as you walked away with a small noticeable frown making him hum, placing a finger on his chin whilst looking at the transparent window beside him.

Snapping his fingers in a victorious way, he smiled widely. "I got it!" he exclaimed before flushing bright red in embarassment, hiding his face in his hands after a quick bow of apology, realising he had just shouted in the middle of the hallways. Earning a few looks and whispers about him.

"I got it~!" he repeated in a audible whisper, lowering his voice after what just happened earlier - he sure did learn his lesson.

Sugawara had already thought of a little idea to turn the tables on his fellow captain, it wasn't really the nicest thing to do but after seeing your pitiful expression earlier. He couldn't help but feel bad and sympathy on how Daichi was treating you. So if you weren't gonna do anything about it soon, then he would be glad to take matters into his hands. Sugawara truly did care for you and he wasn't taking any of Daichi's shit any longer.

Seeing you like this just made his day more stressful than usual, so it wasn't a mystery on why he suddenly thought of an idea like this. "Daichi!" he called out, waving towards the captain that was waiting for him inside the school gates with his feet tapping onto the ground and a smile plastering on as soon the male had spotted the setter from a short distance.

Waving back, he raised a brow out of curiosity upon seeing Sugawara looking around like he was trying to find something. "Hey, what are you looking for?" the captain asked, walking beside Sugawara who still seemed to be glancing around some of the crowd. "Aw yeah uhm, where's Y/n?" the setter asked, his gaze still going around everywhere as Daichi seemed to be surprised upon hearing your first name escape his fellow volleyball player's mouth - but shrugged it off anyways.

"I'm not sure, why'd you ask?" your lover questioned, glancing over to Sugawara who now gave up on trying to find you in the sea of students flooding around the school campus. With a soft sigh escaping the other male's lips he 'frowned', "I don't know, I guess I just missed her presence." the setter excused, if he wasn't such a great pretender and actor; he wouldn't have gotten away with his cheeky idea that he had in mind.

Daichi raised a brow unknowingly but decided to just hum in response, not wanting to question the setter about his rather bold and suspicious answer. Letting him off with slight hesitation. "Alright," the opposite hitter paused before making a risky decision to propose a location on where you could possibly be, "Have you tried going to the field?" He continued, referring to the soccer team which where you were in in the time being.

The gray haired male smiled brightly, nodding towards his captain before making an excuse for himself to leave. Daichi was about to protest and tell him to leave you be, but who was he to do that? Sugawara can see you anytime he wanted to, and he doesn't really have a logical reason to stop him from doing so.

Letting out a heavy sigh, the captain just decided to follow wherever Sugawara was headed off to - which was obviously the field to meet you in morning activities. You're always earlier than both of them anyways, your team was ahead of their time and was always the early bird when it comes to practicing. No wonder most of you had such long stamina. Just as he glances around, he easily spotted the H/c female on a bench chugging down her water bottle with a few sweat drops dripping down on your face.

His face turned bright red, how attractive you look right now was enough for him to pass out. But he somehow managed to stay put and kept calm. Sugawara however, had different intentions this time as he made his way towards your side, giving you a bright warm smile - that was hiding some kind of mischief behind it, but goes unnoticed by anyone who had seen him. Looking at your side, you smiled upon seeing the setter and captain together. But you're mostly happy about Daichi finally paying attention to you and not Yui.

Call yourself selfish but that's how you feel right now.

Waving at them both, you were quite surprised on why they were here instead of the gym. "Hey, do you guys need anything?" just as Daichi was about to answer and reply, the setter sat down next to you so suddenly that the captain unknowingly stopped speaking. "Nope! I just missed you," Sugawara says, giving you a smile with his eyes closed. Showing genuine admiration as Daichi's eye twitched in both surprise and small jealousy but shaked it off, guilty for feeling that way towards his own best friend in the first place.

You blinked a few times, snickering at his rather bold and no hesitation comment before patting his head. "Gee, how flattering." he simply grinned even wider. If it weren't for your teammates shouting and running around, then it would've been considered as silence. Daichi taking this as a quick chance to speak up.

"Hey Y/n, I got no plans for today." he smiled yet it dropped once he realised you weren't paying attention to him but rather Sugawara that was right beside you. "Really? Sure, sounds fun." you smile brightly upon hearing the gray haired male's offer of eating out on a restaurant nearby, supposedly as which Daichi didn't take quite nicely.

"Y/n, we haven't hung out in a while." the captain trailed off, a small smile on his face upon seeing you finally looking at him. "How about we eat out tomorrow ? A date?" He suggested, though already knowing you would accept his offer because of your rather clingy personality. Frowning, he tensed up slightly. Suddenly feeling a bit strange inside as he stares at your apologetic expression, his eyes slithy widen: "Ah sorry Daichi," you paused, jabbing your thumb over to the setter who was smirking rather mockingly, unknowingly annoying the captain beside him. Just staring at Sugawara's eyes already tells him that he actually should be worrying about you.

"Sugawara offered to watch a movie tomorrow." you continued, giggling as you felt excitement fill your body. Although you do miss hanging out with your lover, something was telling you to agree anyways. Which you find a bit reluctant to follow but your guts were maybe right.

Daichi's face dropped in disappointment, he's not a guy that gets jealous quite easily. So the burning hatred he was feeling inside was surprising himself as well as being curious of Sugawara's sudden clingyness towards you. The setter smiled brightly before stealing a quick glance towards his captain who seemed way too preoccupied with his deep thoughts, his concentrated expression along his brows furrowed in visible confusion.

Instead of being concerned of the male, he smirked unnoticeablely, realising his rather effective plan was working quite neatly. With a warm smile on his face he turned to you, "I heard Dachi's been ignoring and neglecting you for the past few days," The captain immediately flickered his eyes in surprise towards the gray haired male, you with your mouth agape.

It took a few blinks and seconds until he fully processed the words the vice captain had commented. And that's when it hit him, realising the setter was more than right with his words. All the dates and plans he cancelled without logical reasons except for Yui always stealing his time, he had no excuses for doing that to you.

Though, he technically did have a reason why but kept quiet anyways.

Just as an heartfelt apology was going to be heard, his eye twitched in slight irritation upon seeing Sugawara's hands holding your quite tightly, giving you a bright wide smile as his eyes filled with hope.

"I can treat you better."

"Okay that's enough." flinching, you two turned to the aggravated captain, seeing a rather familiar aura his state was radiating off quite visibly, making Sugawara deadpanned at the sight yet managed to pull off a quick smirk of amusement either way. Quickly grabbing you by the wrist, he dragged you away from the field. One of your teammates being a tease and yelled "Go get some L/n!" which you purposely ignored yet Sugawara was encouraging them to shout even more.

Which to your unfortune, they followed.

At this point, Daichi had no idea where he was dragging you but kept on walking anyways. Not wanting to look like a total idiot for just snatching you off and just leaving you somewhere. "D..aichi?" you called out in a questioning tone, tilting your head to the side as your lover stopped in his tracks, slowly releasing his grip on your wrist making you sigh out in relief.

"I'm sorry," you stayed silent, not sure what he was apologising for. "Daichi?" continuing your curious call for his name, he huffed and sighed heavily. "I'm sorry." he repeated, finally turning around to face your figure wihh a disappointed look plastered on his face as he nervously placed a hand on his nape.

"I'm really sorry that I ignored you, but I.." he paused as he quickly raids his bag quite furiously, obviously looking for a certain something which made you even curious, but took this as a chance to say something.

"Its fine, I—"

"Here," he interjected, giving you small papers that looked to resembled a few tickets. You blinked in confusion but decided to take it from his hands anyways, flipping the paper over to read the event. Your mouth agape, your eyes widening in susotise. Looking over to your boyfriend who seemed to be flushed red. "Yui has been helping me find available tickets for a soccer match..and we managed to find one after a few struggles." he paused, all you could do was stare at him lovingly with a hint of surprise.

"I couldn't ask the team since.. They kinda suck at keeping secrets." he rolled his eyes before letting out a sad sigh. "But after seeing Sugawara do that to you.. I just..felt a bit irritated." looking over to you, he gives you a warm smile. "So, can you forgive m—" His eyes widen at the sudden impact on his lips before processing what event had just occurred right infront of him. With a small smile on his face, he held your waist and pulled you closer, deepening the affectionate kiss you had given him.

"D-Daichi-San.." Tanaka calls out rather worriedly, staring at someone in the gym who was currently having a hard time at tossing, receiving and even spiking from time to time. The captain hums, not taking his eyes off that someone. "Its break time.. Why are you telling him to do that?" the spiker asked, concerned for his upper-classmen who was working his body off at the moment.

"Huh? Did you say something?" Daichi asked, turning his head in a strange way with a sharp glare as well. Tanaka just quickly shaked his head before scurrying away quickly, afraid of his own teammate. All the team could do was watch Sugawara with pitiful expressions.

"Y/n! You're finally here!"

"Eh? Nishinoya? What's wron—"

"What the hell-?! Suga-San?! Take a break!"

"I-I'd gladly take it..thank you Y/n~!"

"Daichi stop dragging him!"

"WHERE'S COACH UKAI?! OUR MOTHER IS PRACTICALLY DYING!"

No one really knew whether Daichi regretted punishing Sugawara like that despite knowing it was just a small little plan, but atleast he "genuinely" apologised later on.

This was longer than I actually expected..
