《haikyuu x reader》❥Tsukishima Kei

❥title: should be me.
❥story: angst
❥warnings:
"no." that was his blunt response in the day you confessed your feelings and affection towards the blonde volleyball player, he only shot you a quick blank glance along with a heavy sigh afterwards before he left with no reluctancy. You knew well that Tsukishima wasn't the type of person who would accept these types of things in the first place, he led you on for all this time yet he disregarded your endearment, as if you were just a piece of used tissue that could easily be thrown away.
The middle blocker never liked you, he never paid close attention no'r did he give signs of attentiveness directed towards you. He never talked to you much unless the conversation was necessary and important for his time, he treated you like a mere student not some type of companion, but a person that was close to being known as a complete stranger. There was never a time where he would be willing to spare a quick switful glance over to your figure, but he never once did. The blonde never found the reason to stare at someone, so why would he even show interest in you?
Truth is, he always wore a mask. A mask that showed his mischievous retorts yet truthful remarks, the mask that showed his confidence and credence once something had sparked up a light in his excitement. Inside, he was dying to get to know you better, all he knows was your name, age and current occupation. He was insecure yet no one but himself knew.
Despite being a troublesome 1st year, he always had different and mixed feelings about his personality and the attitude he usually shows in almost his whole lifetime. He never once thought he was too..bad for the world the he had lived in, the amount of people he made irked just by his statements - fed his insecurities alot more.

Tsukishima always hid the fact he was hurting, he never once thought about sharing his own personal information about anyone. Not even his own family and close friend Yamaguchi were near to being spared.
Once he had received a love letter from you, he didn't know what to say. How could you love someone like him? That was the first thing that came to his mind, leading for his next words to be nothing but a bold and glacial harsh rejection, turning on his heel whilst walking away.
What if he didn't say that? What if he agreed? What if he admitted his feelings towards you? Would everything be the way his expectations had brought him?
The middle blocker couldn't sleep for who knows how long afterwards, re-thinking his decisions on why he even held on to the mask he wore. If he only accepted your fondness, then maybe you wouldn't be dating his own teammate.
But not like he could do anything, his own best friend had already won your feelings. Tsukishima knew once your heart had settled in deep affection, it would be near to being impossible in getting you out.
The tall male couldn't do anything but stare from a distance, watching your wide soft smile appear whenever Yamaguchi starts to fluster up and stammer on his own words, face turning red from embarassment as you giggle at his anxious and shy antics.
So, he only had one and only one thing to do.
"Kei!" his heart heated, face heating up as his hea turned around, seeing you run towards him with a huge cheeky grin in your face - a hand waving in the air to silently greet him once you had spotted the blonde.
"You said you wanted to meet me here? Is there something wrong?" you questioned, heads tilting to the side once your tracks came to an abrupt stop, a finger placing a hair behind your ear which he immediately took notice of - making his anxiety grew further deep.

"I-.."
"I love you."
"I wanted to say congratulations. You and Yamaguchi I mean." he mustered, a hand going towards the back of his nape as he looked down on the ground, feeling disappointment wash over his figure once the words he chose in his mind was replaced with the opposite.
You smiled genuinely, hands clasp together in a way to show your visible euphoria. "Thanks Kei! Anything else I need to know?" He cleared his throat, a hevay shaky sigh afterwards.
"Tell me-"
"Tell me you still love me."
"Tell me when the wedding is planned, hm?" He teased out with a fraud smile himself, which only made you gush red along with looking away in embarassment, hands waving in the air in a way of defending yourself from his words. "K-kei! Don't say things l-like that!"
He could only gulp and hum, avoiding eye contact as your flustered state seemed to calm down after that. A grin in your lips as you glanced towards his direction, "Hey Kei, I'm glad we're still friends. I thought I would loose you ever since that confession." he looked towards you, hands silently twitching and trembling in his pockets whilst waiting for your continuation.
"But thanks to that, i found the true love of my life! So, I can't help but thank you enough Kei! Thank you, im glad this was all resolved out." his heart stang, practically hearing the pieces shattering everywhere in his chest. A sharp yet shaky intake of air was seen from him, which you didn't mind and just chuckled lightly, the smile on your lips enver faltering for a quick second.
"Friends?"
"Unfortunately."
"Rude!" you teased before a click entered your mind, sweat dropping as you looked at your phone that was placed in your hands. "Oh! Tadashi is taking me out for a date today, I gotta go." you glanced back towards the heartbroken male as you turned din your heel, looking at him by the shoulders whilst a hand waved farewells.
"Bye Kei!"
"Y/n.."
"Please I.."
"Don't.."
"Wait." you stopped in your tracks almost immediately, looking back before your mouth agape in surprise - eyes widening at the sight infront of you. Tsukishima was looking straight towards your [E/c] orbs, tears rolling down his smooth cheeks whilst he held on to a pained smile.
"K..Kei?" you croaked out, seeing a side of Tsukishima you've never had the chance to witness once. He finally decided to torn down the mask he wore, his expression showed that he was suffering from just seeing you walk away from him. "T..hat.."
"Say it Kei!"
"T.That.."
"Come on.."
OKAY DARLING, I KNOW THIS IS SERIOUS BUT I CNA JUST IMAGINE YAMAGUCHI IN THE BACKGROUND YELLING:

Letters from a Dying World
Times historic are often penned after the fact in the lifeblood of the pitiful, forgotten masses. That roiling, uncountable crush of humanity, they who held the pikes and they who threw down the tyrants. Their veins opened by gazes academic, sharp and cruel, and pecked away at with quills, written out of their own story. The Second Dark Crusade was a time of such poignancy. A time when the light of man waned and flickered, choking in the acrid smoke of its own inadequacy. As befitting of such an age it has been covered more than a capital whore, and so I attempt not to tell that story again. That story of dull, unfeeling analysis. Neither here will you find the browbeating, propagandistic screeds so common in the hands of men, the light of youth still burning behind their eyes. Nay, here I shall attempt to cover fresh ground, not tread on the grave dirt of long dead authors. Here I shall attempt to tell the story of the small lives caught, unbeknownst to them, in the great and torrential downpour that we now call history. Here lies the true story of The Second Crusade. - Loremaster Ip'Qal

From Ninja to Pirate
Life can be difficult, hard and painful. Who am I kidding? Most of you probably have already experienced first-hand, all the difficulties, hardships and pains in life that I talk of, so rather than listen to me teach the lessons on how you should stay strong and look forward to the good things, I think you'd much rather prefer me to just get on with my story, and that's exactly what I'll do.My name was Uzumaki Naruto. I was a genin of the hidden village of the leaves, and the team-mate of Uchiha Sasuke and Haruno Sakura. My parents were the Fourth Hokage and the Jinchuuriki of the nine-tailed fox before me, and I was what people called, a failure. But now, the story has reversed. No more failure. No more Naruto. No more ninja.I am Akagami D. Natsuki, a girl who challenges the world, in the era of pirates! All credits go to Oda Eiichiro and Kishimoto Masashi for writing One Piece and Naruto. This is a fanfiction I wrote for my own pleasure. Please don't judge it too harshly... I have checked for spelling and grammar mistakes, but just in case there is the occasional mistake, please comment on it, rather than insult me. From personal experience, I have seen people insulting my grammar, with a comment akin to:"Cant u even spell 'mom' correctly? It's 'mom' not 'mum' you idiot!!!" So, please, don't insult me like that... It really ruins my day, which might have already been awful... Also, I apologise if they get really overpowered, or sound really arrogant... I don't mean it that way, but that's how it is read, so I'm sorry before hand. Well done for making it this far, and thank you for reading. noelicoan.
