"And here she comes.." Semi groaned out, his attention averting from the h/c female running towards them with a satisfied expression plastered onto her face, towards the floor - face palming earlier than he had imagined too.
"Ushiwakaaa~" you sang, arms falling around everywhere whilst some students either had to duck down or slightly moved away to avoid getting hit by the so called 'obstacle'. The male ace looked over to you, hearing his name being called in a cooing way. A hand raising to wave back, atleast showing small acknowledgement directed towards your presence.
"Good morning, L/n." he greets, his hand falling back to his side as they watched your cheeks tint a light shade of pink, hands ladi across your face as you gushed over just hearing a small ounce of your name being said by the taller male right infront. "Awww~ you said my name!" cheering, he invisibly sweat drops. Worried that he may have done something wrong.
"I'm sorry, should I not call you by name?" He questioned cordially, though his expression still gave off his neutral look. His dark olive orbs downright tranquil, his composure and posture refusing to show any signs of being strained and rigid. Unbothered by the attentiveness some students had already shown both you and him.
"Oh no, you can call me anything you like~!" you suggestively pointed, earning a small yet heavy sigh from the setter just right beside the ace infront of you. "How about idiot?" you frowned, glaring over towards Semi - who seemed to either be irritated or mocking you with his expression, but you could care less. Showing your temper wasn't quite the logical decision right about now.
"Are you Ushiwaka?"
"No?"
"Then no," retorting, the male shaked his head in visible disbelief - swiftly winnowing out of your rather vicious stare, deciding to stay reticent for the better, seeing as having a small unneeded argument with you was pointless and unnecessary. Knowing it wouldn't put a dent in the goal you already had set in mind in all those time upon chasing Ushijima. Not in a literal way, but romantically.
Having to hear numerous statements of rejections from the ace, it was theoretically counted as a 3 digit number ever since primary school. Yes, so far you had managed to achieve feelings for the male who possibly or had already evidently showed his main priorities were on the sport volleyball. Even so, your confessions still continued to grow onto him. The declines of your confessions from him wasn't enough to stop you, being the soccer captain gave you a quite well-known reputation.

Not to mention your appearance wouldn't dare to go unnoticed by the crowd, and you decided to gain advantage on your confidence. So his rejections were no match for your honeyed yet genuine declaration of affection. Though you couldn't help but admit he was that type of man who was precarious and tricky to gain back the feelings to you. Logically only because he was always so focused on his preeminence, but again. Your independence won't let you accept defeat.
"I see, then I will continue calling you L/n. If it isn't a hassle," Ushijima states, snapping you out of the trance of stare you were giving his figure off. He did have looks after all, but that's just an added bonus in the list you liked about him.
Shaking your head, you chuckled out obnoxiously - not giving a glance towards the 2 third years literally right next to him. "Come on Ushiwaka, can't think of anything else you can call me?" you questioned, a smirk plastered on quite flirtatiously.
Tendou sniffled in a laugh, already knowing what kind of kinks - ehem, I mean.. What you meant by that. Semi just rolled his eyes, visibly dead inside.
Ushijima, thinks for a moment before shaking his head. "No, I don't think so." frowning, you snickered anyways - harshly patting him on the back before glancing towards your wrist; whereas your watch was usually placed on before your eyes widened in surprise. "Oh, I'm gonna be late for meeting, I'll see you all later~" cooing, you sent a wink directed towards the taller male. Which didn't get the hint and tried to wink back, but failed when he blinked instead.
Adorable!
The ace just decided to simply wave his farewells, watching you skip away from the three third years - who one of them seemed relieved of having a small ounce of silence and peace for once, whilst the redhead frowned at your disappearance - seeing as he had no other companions who seemed alike his personality. Or he just wanted to see Semi get irritated by anything you had to do, to be honest.
The middle blocker hums before snapping his fingers in the air, an idea in his mind. "What if we go over to her game tomorrow?" the male suggested, his eyes brightening up in excitement just thinking about how mindful he was.

"What a handfu—"
"She has a game?" the ace questioned, curiosity plastered on to his face which Tendou covertly had a small fantasy story in his mind - shrugging it off before it goes any more wild further more. Nodding quite enthusiastically after, a huge grin plastered on his face as the aura around him began to change to something more lively.
"She is~! I think she's going against the girl's soccer team from Aoba Johs—" Ushijima's eyes slightly widen, but tilted his head anyways. Making the redhead stop in his words, seeing as the other make was already visibly and noticeably interested about watching over.
Tendou gave a jaded smile, glancing over to the exasperated setter - who also seemed to get the hint; nudging him with an elbow. "What do 'ya say Semi-Semi?" the setter gave off a quick blank look before a sigh came out of his quivering lips, "Not that i have a choice.."

"L/n, stop that!" you stopped your actions from pinching the cheeks of the smaller opponent right infront of you, who simply paid no mind of your hands going a bit out of ordinary on her face. She already grew fond of you ever since you had ran a few meters in such brisk of speed, so it wasn't a wonder why she didn't slap or hit you away from her own personal space.
Scratching the back of your head, you shot a quick wide smile towards your teammate. A peace sign on your free hand, "Right, sorry. I can't help it~! She's adorable," You stated, the last few words made your eyes glanced over to the shorter female - who's cheeks were already visibly tinted in the light shade of pink color. Flustered and grateful for the short compliment you had just given her.
Ruffling her hair one final time, you jogged over to the benches - grabbing a small towel along with drinking the blue watter bottle in the other. Completely unbothered by the countless stares people had been giving you from the benches above and below, seeing as it wasn't a big deal to handle anyways.
Remaining unknown to your wonders, the volleyball team had been yelling possibly louder than the volumes of the cheerleadering squad assigned for your team, especially Tendou and Goshiki straining their voice for this moment, atleast they were supportive and spirit--encouraging. Or else they would've looked like total screaming idiots for nothing but embarassment achieving.
Ushijima hummed as his arms were crossed, his neutral calm olive orbs were completely concentrated in the match he wasn't even involved in. Your movements, your swiftness, agility. And not to mention the high class skill you had for the sport was beyond his expectations, he was more than surprised.
Seeing you land a goal with a strengthful kick made his breath hitch in amusement, sweat dripping down your face as you looked around the cheering crowd - already knowing you and your teammates had ruled over this game.
Your eyes stopped at a familiar figure, your ecstatic smile turning to a flirtatious smirk, a hand raising to wiggle your fingers - alarming him that he had been spotted earlier than he imagined and thought he would be. A wink flying over to his direction, which he immediately noticed.
The ace unknowingly gulped, his face turning heated along with his heartbeats rapidly beating against his chest - which made him quickly look down on his shoes, pretending as if it was the mksy interesting thing that he had ever seen.
Covering his face with his large hands, he breathed out slowly. "Hey, you alright?" Yamagata questioned, noticing the silence and different demeanour off of the other male. Ushijima quickly waved his hands in resssurement, which let Yamagata sigh out of relief before focusing back in the players below him.
The spiker copied his actions, though his eyes just dropped over to the h/c female who seemed to be mocking the taller opponent she was running beside with. His heart beated once again as he placed a hand over his mouth, realising something:
She really is a heartthrob..

Sorry for the random tiny chapters. I structured and uploaded this as a series of scenes, some of which just didn't need to be very long. I could probably attach the "sub-scenes" to previous chapters, but that'd only be covering it up, so I'm not sure its worth it. Anyway if you find them annoying, let me know, and I'll put some more thought into it. I did, at least, make a point of always posting at least a thousand words on any given day (after I noticed the problem), which hopefully mitigates the problem.
