❥title: she's not okay
❥story: angst/fluff
❥warnings: small trigger??? No?
"Oh her? Yeah, she's smiling. So she's probably alright."
"She gets good grades,"
"She's rich,"
"She's good looking."
"She's perfect."
Sugawara had just finished his morning activities along with his other teammates, a few sweat drops were still visible onto his porcelain face along with small pants of air were still heard - Considering he was just about done with his practices.
He was an average student and athlete, good grades, good reputation, good manners, good personality - he's overall a good person, not to mention his passion of caring for others, were admirable to some of the few.
Needless to say he was someone you could closely call 'perfect.' though the male himself didn't really believe what that word means or how people use it around others. He was the person who's opinion stayed hidden even though it was actually pretty logical, but in this case. Sugawara believed that the most perfect is the most unfortunate.
"Ah! Sorry," his thoughts stopped after bumping one of his shoulders with someone else, shooting them an apologetic smile which they returned with just a quick nod, walking away and continuing on with their day.
Sugawara hummed, realising it was her he bumped into. She was the school's 'queen', 'beauty', 'model', 'perfection'. Not only did did her looks of attraction got people's attention, her academic excellence were high, not to mention she was also one of the best female athele in Miyagi.
Though, instead of agreeing and approving of the statements that were going around about her. He did the opposite, he felt bad for her. He didn't know why he did considering the female had everything she could possibly wanted, but the moment he saw her eyes told him something different.
It wasn't shiny like the rest of eyes he had seen, it didn't have any some sort of life evident in them. It didn't look right no'r did it look wrong, but it didn't look okay.

So, he would follow her from time to time. Not as a stalker or anything strange like that, he just wanted to see on what has been bothering him about her for so long.
The setter had met her in his 1st years, as cliché as it sounds he was kind of just roaming around and saw a decent amount of boys along with a few girls fawning and squealing over her presence - naming the female the 'new student hottie' by some of them.
Though no matter what responses, replies about her being alright and all those. He had never believed a word in it, he had already seen something different.
She wasn't okay.
She wasn't alright.
She wasn't fine.
And she still isn't.
Sugawara noticed every little actions that the female had done, seeing as she fidgets and couldn't stay still whenever she waited for whatever she had to wait for - either for someone or for something - , she looked as she was always anxious despite nothing happening around her.
She's sometimes mumbles to herself, it was left as inaudible since it was barely like the tone of a quiet whisper. It was concerning, it really was.
But she's fine. I guess.. - Maybe she's always like that.
He swiftly shrugged his thoughts off and brush passed it, quickly making it to his class just in time before his teacher came and possibly scold him for being late to the schedule and lessons.
Much to his relief, he was earlier than he had expected as he sat down on the chair, a sigh of small happiness escaping his lips as he glances towards the seat infront of him.
She isn't here? He thought, she was always earlier than him whenever it comes to classes. So seeing as she was late suprirsed him a bit.
Humming curiously, he had seemed to remember his earlier encounter of you this morning. You two had the same classes yet you were going the completely opposite direction, which made him even more confused as before.

Shaking his head slightly, he let's out a quick sigh before placing a notebook on the table - beginning to actually listens towards his senior - who can ein a few seconds ago - and started scribbling words.
Yet he had a bad feeling, Sugawara felt sick as his heart violently pounced inside his chest as he started to uncomfortably shift in his seat, sweat drips appearing in his forehead.
His stomach tied to a knot as he gulps, clearing his throat rather loudly which luckily didn't disrupt the teacher from speaking - thinking that the setter just had something stuck to his throat for him to do that.
Though the gray haired male grew more anxious as seconds grew, his foot tapping impatiently on the ground as he did his best to distract him self - such as; humming a quiet tune, looking around the classroom, or even drawing small adorable doodles and drawings on the paper right beneath him.
Feeling out of his mind, he stood up without even noticing - unknowingly excusing himself rather briskly as he swiftly walked out.
Each step he took grew faster and faster, he didn't know where his feet were dragging him to. But something inside him was telling to just go along and follow with it.
So he did just that.
"And the highest score we got is L/n!"
"Thank you."
"Say L/n, you seem to be.. Stressed out?"
"I'm fine sensei."
A lump on his throat suddenly yet unknowingly appeared, the word 'rooftop' echoing and repeating through his mind endlessly like a loop.
A bad feeling was rare for him to feel inside, though this time it felt something completely horrible. What was so bad about running towards the rooftop?
The door flung open as he breaths heavily, running towards the railings in a swiftful manner as he grabs on to a smooth hand.
"Suga..wara.." the female croaked out in a tone full of pain, eyes bloodshot red as she stared at the concerned setter who held her hand - preventing her from falling straight to the ground, just the thought of this girl dying unknowingly made Sugawara panic and sad.
T
he gray haired male looked at her with full on sympathy and worry, no pity was evident in it at all - all his eyes showed was care as their eyes never broke apart.
A small yet hurtful smile crept its wag towards Sugawara's lips as he tightened the grip on her hand, "Are you okay L/n?" He questioned, yet it sounded like he already knew the answer to his own words.
The female sniffled, a small chuckle was heared from her as her head began to shook in disagreement. "No, I am not."
Sugawara softly smiles, expecting that response from the crying female as he tilts his head to the side - nodding a bit whilst he pulls her up in full force, earning a grunt from the both of them as Y/n looked at her so called saviour in small hope.
The setter looked at her,
"I know you aren't."
