❥title: snake
❥story: angst
❥warnings: swearing
Standing up as you take your bag from beneath the table, brushing the invisible dust on your uniform before walking out the classroom after a few minutes of the bell ring.
The classroom was nearly empty since you just sat there, scribbling on your notebook with small drawings.
Not wanting to be late for afterschool practices, you quickened your pace as you walked through the slightly busy hallways.
"Owf.." you muffled as you pressed your face into a familiar chest, looking up while rubbing your forehead you snickered.
"Oh hey, Taka." you greeted with a wave as Takachiho simply gave you a small wave back, "I was waiting for you." he says, turning around to walk away.
You caught up with him and walked beside him with confusion plastered on your face, he seemed to notice this and let out a small sigh.
"Daisho's crying in the men's bathroom." he sighed out, slightly frowning as he sees your concerned expression.
"Huh? Why..? Did something happen..?" you akded quietly as he avoided your gaze with a small sigh, "Mika." he simply answered.
Not taking the hint, you tilted your head again, not knowing what he was trying to say.
He gave you a quick side glance before eyeing you. "They broke up." he stated as you widened your eyes in surprise, covering your mouth with your hand.
"To simplify it more, Mika broke up with him." he added on, looking straight ahead with a small visible frown placed on his lips.
"We've been comforting him but.. He's still in there." he continues, hands in pockets as you stayed silent, still processing what information Takachiho just gave and told you.
Both you and Him stopped in your tacks as he points to the male's rest room, "Just listen carefully.." he mutters quietly, earning against the wall as you did what he demanded.

You winced a bit as you hear sobs and cries from inside, Takachiho was right. You've known Daisho for years now to know that was his voice.
Taka gave you a side glance and sigh, "Daisho-Kun." he called out, loud enough for the male inside the bathroom to hear.
"D-don't enter! Leave me alone!" Daisho demanded loudly through his loud sobs which made you let out a small whimper.
"Daisho-Kun, come on practice is starting." you scrunched up your face and gave the wing spiker a confused look, "Do you think he cares about practice right now?" He shrugged at your words.
"It was worth a shot.." he mumbles and mutters a quick short apology after which you just brushed off.
Despite Daisho being captain of the team, in this state he looks like he doesn't really care if he's late or just not show up in practice at all.
"Its me Takachiho." the wing spiker commented, frowning after hearing the response of the male. "Leave me alone! That's an order from your captain!" Taka clicked his tounge in annoyance.
"Alright one last try." Takachiho sighed quietly before speaking, "L/n is here."
No reply.
The spiker frowned and fixed his uniform, "Alright, I'm coming i—" before he could even continue, The captain walked out of the bathroom with his slight red eyes.
He obviously cried alot, just one glance and you could already tell.
Takachiho looked offended for a brief moment before deciding to walk away, leaving the two of you alone.
You placed a hand on the captain's shoulder with a sympathetic expression which he noticed making him chuckle lightly.
"Stop looking so pitiful." he stated with a small smile though it was replaced with a frown as he places his head on your shoulder, nuzzling into your neck.

"Daisho..." you trailed off quietly, placing your hand behind his head as you carresed it after you felt warm liquid on your neck.
"Its all my fault.." you frowned, "No it isn't. Don't say that.." you scolded but he just huffs and sobbed quietly.
"If only i—" you stopped when you lightly smack his head, "Don't even think about continuing that Suguru." you demanded as he stsayed silent.
"Y/n.." he calls out weakly which made you hum.
"Will you heal me..please?" He pulls away to look at your E/C orbs which made you smile. "Of course I will." he gave you a small smile before going back to his spot earlier.
"I won't ever hurt you Y/n..."
"I won't hurt you too, Daisho."
"Its okay L/n.." Takachiho reassures, caressing your back as you nuzzle your face onto his chest with a few sobs.
Hiroo, the middle blocker stared at the two of you that was on the ground whilst he was standing up.
Takachiho kept whispering reassuring words in your ears quietly while he glares at the text message in your phone which he was holding on his other hand.
Suguru
"Stop being so damn dramatic Y/n.
Just deal with it, it's not
that bad. I have more things to
do than comforting you or smth."
The wing spiker clicked his tounge in annoyance. You've gone through a problematic experience at the point you need someone's comfort.
The first person you thought of was of course.. The person who promised to never hurt you.
"I won't ever hurt you, Y/n..."
You sobbed louder by remembering those past words as the middle blocker winced slightly, surprised by the sudden outburst.
Though Takachiho didn't flinch by your sob as he continued to caressed the back of your head smoothly. "Let it all out.. Its okay.." he whispers softly.
"W-why would he d-do t..that?" you asked as a hiccup escaped your lips, "Shh, its okay.. Its okay.." Takachiho continued to glare at nothing out of annoyance from the captain's words and actions.
"Do you want me to go get him?" Hiroo asked the wing spiker quietly which made him shake his head vigorously, "No." he paused.
"And don't tell him what he did. From the look on his face, he knows." he stated, Hiroo just simply nodded and continued to stare with his arms crossed.
Suguru and the volleyball team silently watched from a close distance, even the coach stayed silent from the scene that was unfolding.
Daisho's mouth agape but nothing came out more than a breath of air.
He watched as you broke down in the wing spiker's arm, the tears that were already stained on the male's Jersey.
Daisho clenched his fist as he watched with guilt, regret already filling him up.
"I.. I hurt someone again.."
He knows he only used you to move on. He's the same person both on court and off court, he will remain as a snake either way.
"I'm sorry Mika.."
"I'm so sorry Y/n.."

City of Champions Online
Having found the tragic truth that an art degree is worth less than the paper it is printed on, Jacquelyn Jones is frustrated with her dead end work as a graphic designer for a marketing firm, finding new ways to try and convince people that this week's 50 cent off sale is actually worth driving to the store. She's tried other VRMMORPGs, but they've all been fantasy-based, with a couple sci-fi games thrown in. But she wants something more, something Super. Superhero VRMMOs have had a... subpar reception in the past, in part due to the fact that the nature of most MMOs makes for fairly unheroic tales. After the couple hundredth time blasting the same group of mooks from the same faction on the same street corner of the same city, using the same powerset as everyone else because you only have a few options, it is hard to think of yourself as a hero anymore. But then she heard about City of Champions Online. For the first time, a developer partnered with a tabletop RPG maker to use their system to create a VRMMORPG, and it was one of the systems designed to be used with superhero games! And despite the name, there was no getting stuck in the same city as all the other players. The game world was a detailed replica of the real world, down to having some of the same shops and restaurants in town. She could be whoever she wanted, whatever she wanted. Now, she just has to find a way to become the heroine she's always wanted to be.
