《Star Wars: Imagines, X-Readers, One shots, Etc. REQUESTS CLOSED》Poe Dameron

Poe and I were sent on a mission to Hoth to see if it would be possible to make it a back up base in case the one we are on now didn't work out.
We went in separate X Wings and landed outside of the base. I pulled the hood to my jacket over my head and put my gloves on, "Stay close to me, Y/N. There's no telling what or who we'll run into while we are in here." He says as helps me out of my X Wing.
"I know for a fact that there are no signs of human life. From what I know about the war against the Empire and the Rebel Alliance, is that there are two different species on this planet." I say as I put my mask over my face and Poe puts his on.
"I hope they are nice animals." He says and I chuckle, "TaunTauns are the good ones and the once's we have to watch out for are the Wampas."
Poe led me into the front of the base, "Well, let's hope we don't run into any." He says and we turned on our flashlights and began to look around Echo Base.
So far, all that was around were old snowspeeders and blast holes in the walls. "General Organa said that there are some X Wings parts that may be useful to us." I say as we walked deeper into the base.
The deeper we got into the base, the harder it was to breathe or see. I started looking for a switch to the power and while looking, I tripped over something and hit the ground hard.
"Are you okay, Y/N?" Poe asked and he started walking over to me and he started shining his flashlight on me. "Yeah, I think I seen a switch, but I tripped before I could get to it." I say and Poe walked over to the wall and flipped the switch.
Slowly all of the lights started to turn on and I looked to see what I tripped on. "Ew!" I yelled out and jumped up. It was a carcass of an extremely large animal; I walked over to Poe and put a hand over my mouth.
"That is disgusting. I wonder what could have—" before Poe could finish his sentence, we heard a deafening roar and it felt like the entire room was shaking. Poe grabbed his blaster and I followed closely behind him with my blaster drawn as well, "We need to go." Poe says and he grabbed my hand, bringing me close to his side.

I followed him closely behind him and we got to two different tunnels, "I don't think this is the way we came in, Poe." I said as he put a hand to his forehead, "I'll go this way and you go that way, and we can cover more ground. And if I don't find what we're looking for, then I'll go to your tunnel and find you." I say and he shook his head.
"I don't like the sound of that, Y/N." He says and I pat his shoulder, "I'll be fine, Poe. The faster we go through each tunnel, the faster we can leave with the information that we need." I say and he nods.
"Fine. We meet back here in ten minutes, okay?" He says and I walked off into the left tunnel on my own.
My teeth were chattering and I found the hangar that Poe and I were looking for. This was where all of the old X Wings were and there were tons of crates with old base information in them.
I shoved some of the papers that had a list of bases for the old Rebel Alliance in my pockets, and I heard a loud crash behind me. I jumped and pulled my blaster out of my thigh holster and pointed it at the source of the noise.
A huge white creature was several feet in front of me and I began to panic. I didn't think I'd run into one, but boy was I wrong; I slowly backed up as I watched the Wampa feeding on another Wampa. I wanted to scream out for Poe, but I knew once I did, it would come after me.
There was no other way out but the way I came in, and that wampa was in the way. That roar we heard earlier was this Wampa killing the other, and it dragged it all the way to here, so it wouldn't draw attention to its colony.
Snow covered one of the entrances and the big base door that led to the outside was closed and locked down. I hid behind a row of crates and slowly walked around seeing if I could pass the creature without catching its attention. I frantically looked around for something to throw, and I found a helmet lying on the ground next to me.
I picked it up and threw it across the room and the Wampa stopped feeding, and stood up. I gasped at the size of the monster, and it turned around and let out another reverberating roar. I jumped over the row of crates and ran to the tunnel entrance, and I could feel the ground beginning to shake from the beast running toward me.

I felt the wampa's claw slash into my side and I let out a scream of pain. I heard Poe shout, "Y/N!" And I heard his blaster go off more than once.
I got up and ran towards him, the pain was soon covered up my adrenaline, and we both ran through the tunnel he went through, and I seen both of our X Wings.
"Will you be okay to fly?" He asked and I nodded my "I'm fine!" I shouted and climbed up into my X Wing without another word. I convinced myself that the gash in my side wasn't very deep and we took off.
The closest planet to us was Bespin and I convinced Poe to stop, because I needed to rest for a few minutes, but the real reason was so I could stop long enough to bandage this wound.
After we landed in the cloud city, I opened one of the compartments and looked for bandages but I didn't have any luck. I got out of my X Wing with my hand clutched to my side, "I have a friend who lives here. She will give us a place to stay the night and she can have someone check the X Wings." I say as I gritted my teeth at the last part.
"Y/N, there is blood dripping down your side!" Poe exclaimed as he rushed over to me, and he pulled my hand away from the gash in my side. I heard him gasp and he put pressure on it and I groaned in pain, "We need to get you help and fast." He said as I began to lose consciousness from the blood loss.
"No, keep your eyes open, stay with me!" Poe exclaimed as he lifted me off the ground and my eyelids began to feel heavy, and I was out.
I slowly opened my eyes and the light was burning them, "Poe?" I call out and he came up to me and picked up my hand, "Oh thank goodness you're awake! I thought I lost you!" He says with relief on his face, but soon you could see the anger in his face.
I knew what he was going to say, "Poe, it wasn't that bad." I say and his eyes grew wide and his eyebrows furrowed, "It wasn't that bad?!" He repeated and he stuck his hands on his head, " Did you even look at it? If that Wampa would've gotten any deeper, I'm pretty sure we would've been able to see your rib cage!" He shouted and I looked up at him.
He never raised his voice at me, let alone yell at me. I watched a tear escape his eye, "You told me you were okay! You promised me that you were fine!" He said as he rubbed the back of his neck in frustration.
"Look, I'm sorry, Poe!" I say as I sat up and pain shot through my side and he rushed to me, "I didn't want to tell you because I didn't want you to think I was weak or that I couldn't go off by myself on missions." I say with a tear running down my face.
"I don't think you're weak, Y/N. That's why I suggested to General Organa that you would be a perfect fit for this mission." He said and I looked up at him, "Really?" I ask and he sat down next to me on the bed, "Yes, really. I know you're strong because you stood there talking to me without a pained expression on your face." He began and he held my hand in his.
"I stood there and didn't even realize something was wrong until the blood started dripping onto the ground. I don't know what hurt me more, you not telling me that you were hurt , or the fact that I didn't notice you were hurt or how the color was slowly draining from your face." He said with tears going down his face.
I wrapped my arms around him, "I don't know what I would do if my thing happened to you. Because— because I love you." He said as he pulled away from me and I looked into his brown eyes. "I've loved you since I met you." He says and I put a hand on his cheek and leaned in and pressed a kiss to his lips.
"I love you too."
