《Living a Lie {Anakin Skywalker x Reader}》11

"You and Artoo will stay with the ship," Anakin tells Padmé.
Padmé looks at Anakin then to me, "I should have at least one of you protecting me. You know, like you're supposed to be doing."
"Well someone needs to watch the ship," Anakin says.
"Then (Y/N) can stay here," Padmé suggest.
He furrows his eyebrows, "no, Padmé. (Y/N) will not --"
"Anakin, it's fine. I can stay with Artoo," I chime in. Artoo whistles and beeps with joy.
I pat the droid, "thanks Artoo. I love spending time with you too." If the droid could blush, it would.
Anakin's eyes softened, "be safe."
"Artoo is the one you have to worry about," I laugh. He laughs too.
Padmé touches Anakin's shoulder, "we should get going."
Anakin jerked his shoulder away, "alright. Bye, (Y/N)." They left the ship.
"Now we wait," I tell Artoo.
~*~
Darkness surrounded my vision. Suddenly, my body ached. Ached of pain and sadness. All of these feelings came from Anakin, my father. And Master Argus.
My vision swirls, and I am transported to Endor. The forest moon seems particularly quiet and still. A hooded figure walks from tree to tree, brushing its hand up against each one. It stops, and pulls off his hood. Master Argus.
He pulls out his comlink, "Dee dee, I need you to make a personal message." His droid responded with a few beeps and whistles, indicating it was recording.
"(Y/N)," Argus started, "please forgive me. I'm leaving the Order. Once I destroy the control ship, I will be gone. I must do this. You may not know this, but your father was strong in the Force. He was my best friend, and I am leaving to go find him within the Force. I am sorry, (Y/N). Do not come looking for me. I do believe I will se you again. One day. May the Force be with you." He pushed a button stopping the recording.

"When we destroy the ship, I need you to transmit this to (Y/N)," Roland instructs the droid. It responds and obeys.
The sound of blaster fire go off, along with the red beams of light. Master Argus whips his lightsaber out, but it is too late. He collapses, and his body goes limb.
~*~
I wake up, unable to control my breathing.
"(Y/N)?" I see Anakin above me. "What happened?"
I let all the tears I've been holding back these last few years spill out. "Master Argus is dead." I throw myself into Anakin's arms.
He pets back my hair, "he's not dead. He left the Jedi Order."
"No," I choke on my words. "I had a vision. Master Argus, he -- he was killed."
"(Y/N), I'm so sorry," he squeezed me.
Padmé cleared her throat, "should we get to your mothers farm?" At Padmé's voice I jumped away from Anakin, as he did the same.
"My old owner, Watto, told us that my mother had been bought from him. But the man who bought her married her, so we are going to their moisture farm," Anakin explained to me.
I nod in return, wiping the tears from my cheeks. Padmé walks over and rubs my shoulder.
"Do you want to talk about it?" She asks me.
I sniffle, "not yet."
"Whenever you'd like," she says softly and walks to the back of the ship.
I sit down next to Anakin, who is flying the ship over the sand. As I watch the glistening sand, my eyes begin to sting.
Anakin laughs, "don't look at the sand."
"What?" I say rubbing my eyes. "Why not?"
"They say the sand will blind you faster than looking at the two Suns. You see, the light reflects off the sand and makes it a billion times worse," he says.

"Lucky me," I scoff. Anakin laughs and continues to fly the ship.
~*~
Anakin settles the ship down. "Could you go get Padmé?"
I nod and go to the back of the ship. "Padmé," I say louder than normal, "we've landed."
She slowly opens her eyes and sits up from the chair, "I must've fallen asleep." I walk back to the cockpit, where Anakin is telling Artoo to stay in the ship.
We all walk down the ramp and approach a dome shaped structure. Then we bump into a droid.
"Oh, oh. Hello! I am See --"
"Threepio?" Anakin asks. The droid had musty silver plating, and yellow lit up eyes.
The droid looks at all of us, "oh my! It's the creator! And Miss Padmé! And..."
"(Y/N)," I tell See Threepio.
The droid throws his hands up, "nice to meet you! I love to meet new people!"
"Threepio, where's my mom?" Anakin changes the subject.
Threepios voice dulls, "oh. We should go inside." We follow the droid inside where we see a young man and woman. "We have important visitors!" He announces.
Anakin looks around the pit, "I'm Anakin Skywalker. This is (Y/N) and Padmé."
"Hello, I'm Owen Lars, and this is my girlfriend Beru," Owen introduces him to us. "So you're Shmi's son?"
"Yes, I am," Anakin tells Owen.
Owen wipes his hands off a cloth, "then you must be my step brother. I knew you would show up someday."
"Where's my mother?" Anakin asks again.
"She's not here," and older man in a medical chair hovers over to us. He reaches his hand out to us, "Cliegg Lars. Shmi is my wife." Anakin, Padmé and I all shake his hand. "We should go inside. There's lots to talk about."
We all follow Shmi's husband up the stairs and into the house. All of us take a seat at the table. I sit next to Anakin.
"Shmi was... Taken. By those sand people. She was going outside to check on one of the evaporators, and she was gone." Cliegg looks down at his plate, sad. "I would be out there going to find her, but with my leg, I can't ride anymore."
"I'm going to get her," Anakin says through grit teeth.
"Listen son," Cliegg says sternly. "Your mother is dead."
I look over to Anakin, who's jaw is clenched. Tears are forming in his eyes. The anger inside of him is building up. He shoots up from his seat and walks away.
"I'll be right back," I announce to the table. I follow after Anakin.
"Anakin!" I call after him. "What are you doing?"
He turns around, anger in his eyes. "To get my mother."
"Anakin... I -- I don't think she's --"
"She is alive!" He shouts at me. "And I'm going to get her!"
His face softens, "I'm sorry, (Y/N), but I need to get my mother."
"Let me come with you," I insist.
"No, stay here. These are good people. They will protect you," Anakin tells me. We stand there for a moment, staring at each other.
I run up to him and throw my arms around him. We embrace, then I let him go. He holds me for a second longer, then gets on the speeder. As I watch him speed away, I already long for his return.
