Jay's P.O.V
Luckily, everything on our end seemed to go well. The trade items and expected time of arrival for our goods were spot on, Tyler giving us the 'good-to-go' sign, which had us relax once more. David seemed a little more reserved than he was before this incident. I guess it finally hit him that we were doing something at least a little illegal, and the people we were doing it for were also definitely on the illegal side. I suppose he's gotten hot under the collar since this could cause trouble with his future role as Alpha of our pack. Unlike his older brother, whose wolf was at best a beta or delta, David's wolf followed his father's in their dominance. Now, if only David listened to his wolf's instincts more than once in a blue moon and we'd all be better off.
We were presently in a meeting, David having ordered one so we could all listen into the call to his brother. To say the least, we found out that his experiences greatly differed from our's, "No, we only sold the general teen drugs; majorly cut, of course. Weed, ecstasy, some uppers and downers as well as metabolizers for us wolves- the usual, you know?"
"Were there any specific days that you were expected to deliver?" I asked, keeping the conversation going.
"Are you guys in some kind of trouble with other dealers or something?" David's brother replied suspiciously.
"Oh- no Flynn, just trying to organize my future pack more, using this as training is all," David supplied, not making any sense. Sadly, Flynn didn't bother figuring any of it out and just accepted it.
"Oh, sure bro," Flynn was not the brightest of wolves. "Oh shit! Is that the time? Late for Algebra; later guys!"

David huffed as the line went dead. Tossing his phone onto the bed, then flopping on it himself, he covered his eyes with his right arm. His lips moved noiselessly, his left hand opening and closing on the bedspread.
I could tell David was obviously out of his depth and unsure what to do. Considering the situation, I can only surmise that we'll have to bow out as a united force and take whatever consequences come about from it, "Uh, David?"
We were all still standing or leaning or lazing around the room, waiting for our 'majestic leader' to end the meeting continue or something. He simply lifted part of his arm, uncovering one eye to glare at me before lowering it once more. I swallowed a growl, physically willing my hands not to close into fists. He's got years yet before he even has the chance to become the alpha of our pack, and it's his father that can agree or disagree to giving him the reins. In fact, if it comes time and his father finds him lacking, other wolves are allowed to go through trials and try for becoming alpha themselves. Of course, that won't be an issue for another ten years or so. We wolves are only considered full-fledged adults at twenty-five; legal at twenty-one.
At twenty-one, we are allowed to move out of our parent's house and into an apartment, pack house or boarding house. Of course, people tend to find their mates usually from eighteen and older, but there have been a rare few finding they are sooner. Mates are not allowed to live together until twenty-one, and having kids before that is frowned upon. The reasoning? Well, while we do not live as long as vampires, we still live a good deal longer than humans. That means we age slower as we get older, and since there is the chance of having anything from one to a litter of pups... Well, it's just population control or half our population would already be on their second pregnancy out of high school. Unlike us, vampires live much, much longer and tend only to die from murder, suicide or accident. In addition, the birth rate is quite low, so they actually don't have any population control issues. That I know of, having children ten years apart is a lucky event.

"David, we're probably in over our heads, maybe we should-" Suddenly, my back hit the wall, David in my face growling and eyes shining.
"SHUT. UP." He squeezed my neck, but I just looked at him even as I felt my lungs burn and my head hurt.
"Woah, let's all just calm down," Someone said, but my focus was on David and our dominance battle.
"C'mon guys, knock it off," Chris dived between us, and when unsuccessful in separating us, or really, David's hand from my neck, he decided to do the next best thing. He ground his ass on David. You see, Chris is bi and too dominant to be able to gain the ability of pregnancy, so he didn't have to worry about getting his ass ploughed by someone more dominant than himself. He smirked at having David give up half a step before he turned, groped his manhood through the jeans, and languidly kissed him. Since Chris' head had broken our stare competition, neither of us actually backed down, so the angst just lulled as David released my neck, focusing on Chris and his sinful kiss.
After several long moments of them kissing and sucking, David cracked open his eyes, and pulled away long enough to tell us to get lost. Well, okay then. I'm sure Chris will get him in the mood, err, will get him calm enough to think clearly and work with us to decide what to do next.
Chris P.O.V
I waited for the fireworks to start when Jay, as expected of him, kicked the metaphorical hornet's nest. Jay was very dominant, very close to David's own. There is a good possibility of Jay growing into an Alpha, but hopefully he will mature into a strong Beta that can handle David when he finally matures and is groomed into a competent Alpha.
So, I watched as Jay was thrust into the wall and held by his throat. Unlike anyone else, he didn't fight or kick, but just stared David down as his face began tinting reddish before going almost bloodless to slightly blue. Still, they didn't move, and I realized that some intervention would have to take place. I glanced around, before sighing internally. My ass it is, I guess.

Doctored Chance: The Unpleasant Preceding of "Pajama Boy" and What Drove Him to Murder
I, Mick Chadwick, regret to inform my readers that this memoir contains nothing but the truth, which in the case of Tobias MacClain, most ridiculed as Pajama Boy, is far from pleasant. If you seek to relate to a hero more than to aspire to them and have the stomach for unpleasant things such as a hero left for dead, villainous scars, bomb threats, and murderous intent, then look no further. All of these gruesome things and more await from my research, and though I do not wish them on any man or woman, I cannot bear this burden on my own much longer. In the words of Tobias MacClain himself, "Sometimes, a villainous act can cause the greatest good." I hope that all my villainous acts of sneaking, blackmailing, diary-reading, and grave-digging, among others, will be redeemed as I present this complete and truthful memoir to the world, and with any luck, open eyes to the truth of what we call "villainy". Doctored Chance: The Unpleasant Preceding of "Pajama Boy" and What Drove Him to Murder ********* MATURE FILTER IS FOR:- violence- graphic imagery (blood, burns, fairly dark headspaces)- cartoon depiction of burn scars for visual aid Despite graphics, Mick Chadwick's writing keeps Mr. MacClain's terrible tale light somehow. This is foremostly a comedy.

Heartstone
Book 1 is complete. Book 2 is currently updating. For centuries, the portal to another dimension remained closed. Now, it is mysteriously open again, and the link between Earth and Heartstone allows us to journey once more to this magical realm. Book 1 - Arwin arrives in Heartstone and meets some lovely damsels who are unfortunately in distress. He faces off against blue blood nobles to help the people of the Blue Region. Book 2 - Arwin befriends Yaz, a talking skeleton and sets off for adventure. But before they get going, they stumble across a tribe of gorgeous nymphs. All seems fun and games until the goblins arrive. This series is a portal fantasy (isekai) that features wordplay and puns and plenty of cultural references. Reminiscient of Piers Anthony's Xanth series and Terry Pratchett's Discworld, but for a more adult audience. Book 1 is also available on Amazon and other online stores. You can also download from Patreon.

Prey No More
Imagine being given a second chance at life. Not only that but with a life you chose (sort of). This is exactly the situation that our character is in. He was once a Biology Graduate Student involved in a special program in Alaska studying Polar Bears. In an ironic twist of fate his life is ended by exactly that which he was trying to study. Now, in a new world, he refuses to be anything but the top of the food chain. IMPORTANT NOTE: This is a story I began writing a year and a half ago and decided to shelf, I'm coming back to it now because I miss writing; however, I have not carved out any time specifically for this and, as of now, it will be something I do on the side for fun. Currently I have 9 chapters plus a prologue written; I'm going to be going through and editting it to be in a present tense (from past), as well as changing some of the story and grammar. Let me know what you think, and thanks for reading.
