《Haikyuu!! AUs (x Reader)》Hinata Shōyō - Oranges
Advertisement
Your room had accents of 'orange' everywhere, or that's at least what your parents told you.
Even though you couldn't see the colour itself, you enjoyed the shade of grey it made. Every colour had a different grey to it. The grey colour for red would be different from the grey colour for green.
Your parents made sure you could differentiate the colours so life would be easier for you, or at least as easy as it can get.
Your mom had been teaching you the different colours since you were born and once you were finally able to speak, your first word was 'orange' well second after you said 'You Can Wear My Sweatshirt' which confused your parents greatly.
But when you said it, you were referring to the fruit which you were trying to reach because it was on top of the counter.
Since then, orange was your favourite colour and fruit.
When you got to high school, your knowledge of colour helped a little bit.
For example, your classmates who also hadn't found their soulmate would come to you for your expertise (and also because they were too afraid to approach any upper-class men).
So here you were, sitting in front of a girl, who wanted to impress her friends by knowing how to tell the different colours apart.
"Ok," you said holding up an orange, "this orange is orange, and the grass we are sitting on is green, ok?"
She nodded her head making her short bob, bob. (Haha)
"Good, now, if I threw it somewhere, would you be able to find it?"
"I think I can. But I may take a while."
You nodded, tossing the orange far into the field.
She got up and ran in the direction you through it, coming back a minute later with an orange in her pale hands.

"I found it! (Y/N), I found it!"
You picked the orange out of her hand and she sat back down.
"Ok I'm going to throw it again, but this time close your eyes. Ok?"
She nodded again and shut her eyes.
You threw it in a random direction only to be greeted by a loud yell.
"Hey, orange! Wanna Fight?!"
Not too far away you could see the hair and small body of an elementary student.
"Sorry, kid, wasn't looking where I was throwing! Are you hurt?!" you yelled at the kid.
The girl you were helping opened her eyes and saw what was going on.
"Um, (Y/N), I'm going to get going, I'll see you tomorrow ok?" she said with a smile.
"Of course, see you."
While she ran away, you started packing up your school back to head back to class.
"Hey, you! Orange throwing girl! FIGHT ME!"
"Huh?"
A couple metres away a small elementary kid was fuming.
"Oh, sorry kid. I wasn't paying attention t—"
"I'm not a kid! I'm in my first year!"
...
"Of middle school?"
You titled your head slightly.
"Waahh, am I that short?" he muttered.
You weren't sure what you needed to do to comfort the poor kid, you only had one option.
"Hey, um, you want an orange, it matches your hair," you said finally noticing the colour of his hair.
"Oh? Um sure."
He reached his hand out to grab the orange, brushing his hand with your slightly.
Your eyes closed as you give the kid a smile, you didn't notice the bursts of colour he was experiencing.
"Wwaaaahhh..."
When you opened your eyes, you noticed the bright colours around you.
"Uh, my soulmate's an elementary student?" you asked to no one in particular, as you brushed your (S/T) hand through your (H/L) (H/C) hair.
"I'M IN HIGHSCHOOL!!"
"WAAAH! Really?!"

Legends of Balarel - A Leisurely LitRPG
Glenn Redwood has longed to become an Adventurer since he was a young boy, and has focused every waking moment on that goal since turning 14. Answering the challenge of the Gods of Balarel, he has fought Monsters, Leveled, and grown stronger. Yet the day before his 16th birthday, the day he will earn his dream or lose it forever ... the Gods have made a wager. And no mere mortal wishes to draw the attention of the Gods. ***** This is my crack at writing a leisurely LitRPG. My focus is more on telling interesting stories set in a world where people live under a MMORPG-like ruleset enforced by the Gods, and less on writing another story where the MC gets massive stat boosts every chapter before heading off to wreck the world. There will be plenty of blue tables (it’s LitRPG!) but my Adventurers are just starting out. This fic is about the journey, not the destination, so expect everyone to Level ... leisurely. Updates: M-T-W-Th. I’ll post 3000-4000 words a day, or 12000-15000 words a week. If this posting pace ends up being too much for me, I reserve the right to slow posts down a bit. Inspirations: Blessed Time (Royal Road) Is It Wrong To Try To Pick Up Girls In a Dungeon? (Anime) Trails in the Sky (JRPG Series) MC: My MC is a genuinely good person who’s both a talented warrior and tactically savvy. He prefers to solve problems without violence but will resort to force if necessary to protect his friends or innocent people. I’m tired of stories starring anti-hero MCs facing endless doom and gloom, so I wanted to write a nice guy with an adventurous spirit who helps people in a thriving fantasy world. That’s all.

BODY&SHADOW
AN ILLUSTRATED NOVEL • UPDATES TUESDAY AND FRIDAY In a time before living memory, the King Dragon of the Void watched the world and realized there was a crack. He realized that humanity was destroying the rock upon which they lived; they leaked life’s code into the churning chaos. At first the change was imperceptible: nanites overtook microorganisms, bacteria, viruses, amoebas. Insects became increasingly inorganic; birds and lizards followed soon after. Even humans were infected by their own advances, cell by cell, till there was not a person left on earth who wasn’t at least part synthetic, the product of a prior generation’s carelessness. The world’s population was ravaged by mechanical viruses with no vaccines; they were mercilessly overtaken by bacteria that knew no death. Soon, most of the planet was empty and only a handful remained who remembered the hedonist realm they came from; only a few were left who remembered what the world looked like when their buildings touched the sky. The King Dragon of the Void watched the rock turn. He watched humans cower as the Old World fell down around them; watched their great monuments crumble into dusty ruins; watched their codes become precious, ancient gem memories forged under the crushing pressure of so many fallen stones. The world has spun many times around the sun since chaos swallowed man whole. It is a simpler time than the one that died out, but the people now are not immune to the folly of the people before. There is old code everywhere: in the water, in the air, in the trees. The heart of man has been replaced by power cores, many of which are hard-coded with preternatural abilities—when they die, an esoteric mountain sect collects their cores and stores them in their hollow mountain home to preserve the sanctity and dignity of human death. They’ve learned to harness artifacts of the old world, gemstones full of codes their nanite infused bodies can parse as spells imbuing their users with great power; they inlay them into their bodies, into their skins, connected to their cores by copper conduit and gold tracers; they dress themselves in tattoos to advertise their prowess; they battle for relics in arenas, fight for them in the open world wherever they are found. The King Dragon of the Void watches the rock turn and wonders: when will this hunger finally make the rock stop spinning? WELCOME TO FANXING CITY … Twenty-five years ago, Fanxing City and the surrounding lands were commanded by the mad King Zao Beiguan. For many years, the King hoarded wealth, artifacts, food; he demanded tribute from a people already taxed to the edges of their existence and expected they be happy with their circumstances. Noncompliance was often punished harshly, bodies displayed proudly on Fanxing’s streets as a warning, from the city gates to the Zao palace’s golden doors. The youths of several prominent clans came together to overthrow the tyrant and made names for themselves as legendary heroes across the land: Tian, Ren, Feng, Gui, Ma, and Zhenxi. Even wanderers from the Luanshi sect descended from Yunji mountain to aid the rebellion. When the dust settled after three years, Tian Yunyong ascended the throne of Fanxing and swore to honour his slain father’s memory, and has maintained Fanxing’s peace with generosity and mercy where fear and cruelty once reigned.
