《Haikyuu!! AUs (x Reader)》Tanaka Ryūnosuke - Without You

It had been two weeks since it happened, and the worst part was that you couldn't tell anyone because no one knew.
•──────⋅☾ ☽⋅──────•
"I don't think it's working anymore; you're busy and I'm busy. We just don't have enough time for one another, so I think that it's best if we stop seeing each other," you said.
Tanaka stopped what he was doing and looked up at you. He gave you a look that you haven't seen in awhile, full attention and focus.
"If that's what you want, and it makes you happy...then I'm okay with whatever you decide," Tanaka told you with a sad smile.
"Okay, I'll just be going then," you told him.
You grabbed your school bag that was sitting on a nearby chair and walked out.
Tanaka was left staring at the closed door. After realizing that you wouldn't be coming back, he rubbed his eyes, sighed, and then walked over to where his song book was and started to write.
•──────⋅☾ ☽⋅──────•
"Please (Y/N)-chan! Please! Please! Please!" (B/F/N) asked for the millionth time.
You shook your head. "I already told you that I'm not going to the concert. Why do you even want me to go so much? Why can't you ask someone else?"
"You're my best friend in the entire world, so why would I ask anyone else? Also, these tickets are in the second row. Tickets like these won't just fall out of the sky, (Y/N)-chan," (B/F/N) whined.
You thought about it.
There was a chance that Tanaka might not even see you, but there was also that chance that he would see you. You know that (B/F/N) won't stop asking until you say yes, so there is not really a point in saying no. You had already said no 6 times and (B/F/N) still kept asking.
"Fine," you grumbled.
(B/F/N) gave you the brightest smile. "Oh, yeah, did I mention that the tickets are also backstage passes and we are definitely going to meet Tanaka. Bye! See you Sunday at 8:00pm sharp."
(B/F/N) ran away before you could kill them. There goes the chances of you not being noticed by him.
•──────⋅☾ ☽⋅──────•
"Come on! Stop walking so slowly! If you keep walking at this pace, then we are going to miss the entire show!" (B/F/N) yelled at you, pulling you through the very crowded stadium.
"We have reserved seats, and the concert doesn't start for another hour. I still don't understand why you made me come with you so early. I could have just met you here," you told her, annoyed.

When (B/F/N) told you that they would pick you up at 8:00, they actually meant 7:00.
"Yes, but that's not the point. Sometimes they do soundcheck and since we have backstage passes and are sitting in the second row, we get to listen to soundcheck," (B/F/N) said cheerfully.
You roll your eyes. (B/F/N) used to be so quiet and now they were fangirling over some guy you used to date.
You used to date. You were just about to see your secret ex - boyfriend that no one knew about. Not even (random person), who you tell everything to.
You suddenly felt really nervous. There was a pit in your stomach that felt like you just swallowed cement.
"I'm going to the bathroom," you told your friend.
"But you'll miss soundcheck!" (B/FN) yelled.
"It's okay. I'll be right back," you yelled back.
You walked out of the stadium and sat down on a nearby bench. You felt your phone vibrate once, but you ignored it. Then someone tapped you on the shoulder.
"Can I sit here?" someone asked.
You actually took a few seconds to focus your eyes, and standing behind you was Nishinoya, Tanaka's best friend.
"Noya-chan? Are you here to watch..." you trailed off.
Even after your break up, you couldn't say his name without completely shutting down.
"Yeah, I'm here to support him. Not that it's a problem, but why are you here? I just didn't think you would go to one of his concerts after the break—" Noya stopped what he was saying, and covered his mouth.
"You knew? He told me not to tell anyone, and he told you?" You stood up.
"Well, I am his best friend," he said and sat down.
You slumped back down on the bench. You felt your phone vibrate. Again, again, again, and again. This time you grabbed your phone from your back pocket and looked at the messages.
(B/F/N)
Where are you? You missed soundcheck...

"I should go. My friend is freaking out, and I have to keep her from jumping on stage and getting dragged out by security," you told Nishinoya, standing up.
You started walking to the entrance.
"He misses you. I just thought that you should know," Nishinoya said, standing up and walking off somewhere.
You stopped for a second to register what he just said. Then you started walking again, waving it off like it was nothing. It was nothing.
Once you entered the stadium, it was completely dark, and there were many people screaming. You almost got lost, but you managed to find (B/F/N).

Tanaka walked out, and the whole room filled with screams.
"My name is Tanaka," Tanaka said into a microphone, making the stadium shake.
The crowd started to scream louder than before. At this moment, you were really regretting your choice coming here.
"But you already know that because I AM YOUR SENPAI!" He yelled.
You shook your head. You really wished that he didn't start all of his concerts like this.
He smiled at all of the cheering fans, "The song I'm going to sing is close to my heart. I hope you enjoy it."
He started to sing.
After the song, the whole room burst into screams and cheers. It was so loud that you couldn't hear yourself think.
•──────⋅☾ ☽⋅──────•
"I can believe I'm about to meet Tanaka Ryūnosuke!!!!" (B/F/N) screamed.
You two were waiting outside of a room to see Tanaka. You were also the last people to see him because (B/F/N) had to buy every piece of merchandise.
"Would you please stop screaming? He could probably hear you from inside there, and the walls are made out of concrete," you told them.
The security man put his figures to his ear and nodded. "You two can go in now."
(B/F/N) freaked and ran into the room, with you trailing behind them.
You walked into the room and saw (B/F/N) giving Tanaka a bone crushing hug.
You took one look at them, and burst out laughing. Causing both of them to look at you.
Tanaka's face went from shocked, to even more shocked once he saw your face smiling.
You walked up to (B/F/N) and dragged them a couple of feet away from Tanaka.
"Sorry about them. They have been really hyper lately..." you told him with a small smile.
He smiled back at you. "It's okay. It happens a lot."
(B/F/N) started rambling about how much they loved his music and started taking photos with him.
"Do you mind if you sign this for my sister? She really likes your music," you asked him with a smirk.
He awkwardly nodded his head and signed the piece of paper. Then security came in and told you and your best friend your times up.
(B/F/N) ran up to Tanaka one more time and gave him a hug. Then grabbed your hand and dragged you out.
"I can walk home. It's been a long day, and you should go straight home," you told your friend.
"No, it's totally fine. I don't mind driving you," (B/F/N) said to you.
"It's okay, I'll see you tomorrow, and I could use the fresh air," you told them walking way.
You were walking along a street, when suddenly someone grabbed your hand and started dragging you away.
"Hey! Get off of me!" You yelled, smacking the person.
"Calm down (Y/N)-chan. I'm not going to murder you or anything," The person said.
You followed your eyes along the person's arm, to their face.
"Noya-chan?" You asked.
"Yeah, and you hit really hard," he said rubbing his arm.
"Where are you taking me?" you asked him.
"It's a surprise."
He dragged you around the stadium, and through the back door, and then walked up a flight of stairs, and through another door. It was like a maze. You were kind of surprised that Nishinoya knew where to go.
It happened so fast. Nishinoya pushed you into a room, and you heard the door click. You tried to turn the door handle, but it was locked.
"Nishinoya! This is not funny! Open the door!" you yelled, banging on the door.
"(Y/N)?" someone asked from behind you.
You cringed at the way the person said your name. You turned around and saw Tanaka behind you.
"What are you doing here?" he asked you.
You raised an eyebrow at him. Then you put your hand back on the door handle and shook it.
"That only locks from the outside," he said.
"Great," you mumbled, kicking the floor.
He took a few steps closer to you, but hesitated on what he would do next.
"Uh, (Y/N)?" he asked, unsure of himself.
"Ya?" You replied quickly.
"I- uh, I'm sorry."
"For what?"
He slid down the wall next to the door and sighed.
"For not being able to keep you happy."
You sat next to him and leaned your head on the wall.
"Tanaka, you always made me happy. We just didn't have enough time for each other. It's not your fault."
Tanaka made a quick move to pull you close to him. One of his arms wrapped around your waist as the other gripped you over the shoulders.
"I feel like I didn't even try. I just let you get away."
"You did try, so don't apologize," you told as you looked up at him.
"Can I be really cheesy for a second?" he asked.
"Tanaka, don't you da—"
"I love you," he whispered in your ear, giving you chills down your spine.
"Damn it Tanaka," you pushed your face into his shoulder, "I love you too."
"Does that mean I can kiss you now?"
"No way in hell you knucklehead!"

The Werewolf Cheerleader
Being a cheerleader is easier than being a werewolf. Jessica Tumbleleague is a typical teenage girl who loves being a cheerleader at Moondale High. But after an encounter with a werewolf in the woods, Jessica discovers a frightening world she never thought is real. Dangerous magic, deadly fierce spirits, and other malevolent creatures. Now Jessica must fight the forces of darkness to protect her hometown while balancing her supernatural life with her high school life. But can she control the beast within herself? Note: This is a rewrite of the original with the same name. I decided to change the third-person style to first-person because I liked Jessica's voice better. She is funny and very strong. With the story only focusing on her, I can keep the mystery suspenseful and the reader can experience what Jessica is experiencing. It is a typical YA style, but it is fun to write as your main character. There are changes, but the first and second books will be similar to the third-person chapters. Let me know what you think and I hope you will enjoy this new version of the Werewolf Cheerleader. I will post the chapters every Friday in the afternoon. P.S, there is a Werewolf Cheerleader short story published in the Tales of Dungeons, All Hallows book. Titled The Werewolf Cheerleader: Castle and Ghouls. The short is also in first-person, which made me decide to change the book series into first-person. The link is below if you want to check it out. https://www.royalroad.com/amazon/B08MCS82R5
