7:00 p.m.

so this is kind of sudden news, but we have one of those parties again. and i told myself i would never go to one again.

you know, i know i'm not the type to stick around at parties or anything. in fact, i hate them.

i just don't want to seem like an outcast or anything.

anyway, i've been getting made fun of a lot by the first years saying, allegedly, i need to make more friends.

so that's why i'm here. again.

but it was different this time. for some reason, aoba johsai was invited this time so it was 2x as noisy and chaotic.

in 1 month we would doing exams, then we would be against seijoh and hopefully nationals we will make the cut.

"yahoo~ if it isn't my shittily talented junior" i hear a familiar, might i add annoying, voice behind me.

i turn around, and what else do i expect, the fluffy brown haired boy, oikawa toruu.

iwaizumi comes up to oikawa and puts a hand on his shoulder, giving me a quick hello while he does. "shittykawa, the others are calling you"

oikawa finally walked off and me and hinata decided to walk over to tsukki and yamaguchi.

until we can't really find them.

when me and hinata are about to give up, he turn a corner and hear their 2 familiar voices come from a random room in the house.

quietly, both of us place our ears on the door.

presumably it is yamaguchi talking "so, tell me what exactly did you tell y/n after school?"

we stopped in our tracks when we heard a familiar name being mentioned. looking at each other with wide eyes.

the other person takes a deep breath.

i'm pretty sure it's tsukishima saying this. "yeah, and she rejected me"

"no way!" hinata looked at me, covering his mouth.

for good reason, the conversation between both of them suddenly comes to a halt.

i slap the back of hinatas head for blowing our cover.

i remove my ear from the wooden door. luckily i run away before the door opens so it's hinata that deals with eavesdropping and not me.

with my hands in my blue hoodie, one of them grips my chest.

tsukishima confessed to y/n.

y/n rejected him.

for some reason, i can't help but smile.

my overthinking is interrupted as i hear the outburst of tsukishima to hinata. i turn around and see hinata on his knees and bowing down.

i decide to walk over as if i wasn't here the whole time.

"what's going on here?" i ask casually. i play it cool.

tsukishima looks really pissed, hinata was begging for mercy while yamaguchi for once looked lost.

"you're little boyfriend here was in on a private, civil conversation between me and yamaguchi"

tsukishima stated. his usual pale face is visibly embarrassed due to the flushed look.

"huh?" i tried to act clueless.

"I'M SORRY! I'LL NEVER SCREAM AGAIN WHEN I EAVESDROP ON YOU GUYS!" hinata bowed up and down, hands all 🙏

tsukishima looked hurt. he turned around with yamaguchi as he whispered something into tsukishimas ear.

hinata had finally stopped begging for forgiveness and stood up. he turned over to me and mouthed "can you believe y/n rejected tsukki?"

"who's that?" i shrugged, and as hinata was about to say something even more dumb they both turned around.

190 cm. look up.

he was looking right at me.

"what?" tsukki scoffed.

instead of scoffing right back, i sent him the biggest grin i have ever had.

yamaguchi breaks the sudden tension as he hears some of their teammates call for the four of them. "guys, the seniors are calling us for a game"

tsukki then walked off and yamaguchi and hinata followed. the orange head turned back to me as i didn't move.

"aren't you gonna join the game?" hinata shouted through the crowd.

i put hand around my mouth to echo my words "give me a minute, twerp!"

he gave me an 'ok' sign with his fingers before trailing off with beanstalk and diarrhoea head.

reaching into my pocket, i take out my phone. keying in my password and into the calls app i dial y/n'a phone number.

"hello?"

"i'm at the party, you should come too y/n"
