《Guitar Cry: A Cody Simpson Love Story》Guitar Cry: Chapter (9)

When I woke up this morning, something was wrong.
There were several things that weren't right in my life; such as Cody and I fighting, my hair naturally changing into a lighter color from my time here at the beach and coming into the realization that I snore when I'm asleep.
But that wasn't it.
I made my way down the stairs still half-asleep, using the banister of the stairs as support. I walked into the kitchen to find Alli and Cody arguing.
At least something was right.
I poured myself a bowl of cereal and joined them in the dining room table. "I tried waking you up this morning." Alli said.
I gave her a confused look. "You did?"
"Yup," Alli responded, taking a sip out of her orange juice.
I shrugged my shoulders. "I don't find that hard to believe. If nobody woke me up, I could stay asleep forever."
"You really can," Alli agreed, "I woke you up to see if you wanted to go to an over-night aquarium with my parents and Tom. But you being you, didn't wake up and stayed asleep."
I smirked. "Definitely sounds like something I would do. Why didn't you go with them? You love aquariums," I pointed out.
Alli frowned. "Who would babysit you two and make sure you guys didn't kill each other?"
"Maybe if Cody wasn't such a douche," I began, "you could have gone to the aquarium."
"I'm gonna ignore that, De Laurentis." Cody said. "Because I'm in a good mood."
Alli's mouth widened into the shape of an O. "You're happy? Oh gosh, please don't tell me you're hiding a dead body downstairs. I can't get blood on these jeans!"
Cody narrowed his eyes at her. "No, I didn't kill anyone, Alli."
"Good. I'm too goodlooking to become cannibalistic." Alli stated.
I chuckled at these two. They were pure entertainment. Then I stopped, remembering that I was still upset with Cody. Even after yesterday's event, we didn't talk for the rest of the night and I assumed we were going back to our old fighting ways.
"You didn't think I'd actually try to have fun with you people, did you?" Cody bluntly said. "I invited a few friends over."
"And by inviting, you mean keeping this behind mom and dad's back?" Alli asked, raising her eyebrow.
"Pretty much." He nonchalantly answered.
"I dunno," Alli grinned, "I don't think mom would approve of that."
Cody leaned into the table. "That would be too bad if you told them. Christian was really excited about coming to visit you."
Alli shot out from her seat. "We're going!" She declared.
I didn't even have a chance to object.

"Which one should I go with? The leopard pattern one-piece or orchid color purple bikini." Alli asked, throwing both swim-suits at my face. A piece of fabric made it's way into my mouth.
"Gross," I muttered, pulling out the piece of orchid colored fabric, "and you should definitely go with the leopard one-piece. It's cut at the sides and makes your curves look awesome."
"The leopard patten one-piece it is!" Alli agreed, stripping out of her clothes.
I looked down at my Alice blue colored bikini. It had a wavy effect on the top and silver clads on the bottom. I was wearing denim shorts over them, a beige colored knit crop top and matching flip flops.

When Alli was finished, I gave her a thumbs up. "You look great, girlie."
"I do, don't I?" Alli bragged, spinning around in a circle. She flopped down on the bed beside me and grinned. "I'm just kidding. You look awesome too. Who are you trying to impress?" There was a sly smirk on her face.
"No one." I lied. I was going over the top but there was no reason specifically.
Okay, fine, yes. I wanted to look good and make Cody jealous. Don't ask me why, it's a girl thing.
"Don't go flirting with my man," Alli joked, winking at me. "But, I don't think you'll be able to because you're gonna be so focused on Cody."
I looked down, a blushing creeping it's way onto my face. "I'm not gonna be focused on him," I mumbled.
"But he's gonna be focused on you." She winked, swinging a totebag over her shoulder. Alli pulled me down the stairs by my wrist and instantly stopped once we reached the kitchen.
Christian came in threw the sliding doors, cramming a hot dog into his mouth. He stopped dead in his tracks when he realized he wasn't alone, and dropped his hot dog when he realized it was Alli and I.
"Hey!" I cried, "I just finished mopping up the floors."
By the time I finished my sentence, they were already in each others arms. I smiled cheekily at them and bursted out an "Awe!" before realizing what I had just said and cautiously making my way out of the kitchen. On my way out, I stumbled upon the hot dog and fell onto the sand outside.
I recognized Cody's pair of swim trunks, but I didn't know who the other belonged to.
"Are you okay?" An unfamiliar voice asked before Cody could. He held out his hand and I took it, standing up. "I'm Greyson, Greyson Chance." He introduced himself. I've seen him on T.V. but never in person before.
"I'm S--"
"Beautiful?" He beamed. "I know."
I blushed slightly and tucked a piece of hair behind my ear. "Santana," I murmured.
Greyson nodded. "Nice to meet you, beautiful."
I looked up and met Cody's eyes. It was kind of hard to do with him being shirtless. He seemed to be irritated. Was it because he was jealous? No, he couldn't be. But if he was, I would use it to my full advantage.
"You okay, man?" Greyson suspiciously asked.
Cody shook his head. "Me? Yeah, I'm fine. Shouldn't you be asking the 'beauty' who yet again managed to high five the floor with her face?" Cody asked in a mocking tone.
"It's not my fault I'm clumsy," I muttered, crossing my arms. "I didn't ask for it."
"And you didn't ask for attraction as well, but you got it." Greyson stated, taking my hand in his and leading me toward the beach.
By the look on his face, you could tell that Cody was definitely jealous. I didn't understand why though, but I didn't care because I could already see that today was going to be an interesting day.

"Five to nine!" I called out before throwing the volleyball over the net.
Greyson hit it back forcefully, causing it to land somewhere on the beach.

"Nice one!" Christian applauded him, slapping him on the back.
Alli and I jogged to the net. I wrapped my hands around the material while I grinned at Greyson, "that was impressive."
"You think that's cool?" Greyson asked, smirking at me. "Then you should see these," he held up his arms and began flexing them.
I didn't know whether I should laugh or burst into tears. There was nothing there at all. Only a little flab. I felt Cody's eyes lingering on Greyson and I, so I reached under the net to touch his arm. "You're right, that's pretty impressive."
"Thanks." Greyson had a smug look on his face.
Cody stormed toward us. "Are you guys gonna keep on being all lovey-dovey or are you actually going to play the game?" He demanded.
I rolled my eyes at him. "Calm down, Simpson."
"What ever." He muttered.
Every now and then, Cody would randomly flip out. Alli acted as if she suspected it, Christian looked confused, Greyson seemed a little intimidated while I was just standing there with a WTF look.
Cody didn't even act this way with Bella while they were dating. There is no doubt about it, she was gorgeous and would have boys hitting on her every here and there. Cody wouldn't mind it one bit. But, why does he care now all of a sudden?
"It's getting late." Alli said, looking up at the sky. "We should probably head inside now."
"Or we could have a bonfire and camp outside tonight?" Cody suggested.
Everyone nodded their heads in enthusiasm. "Sounds good."
- - -
"Psst, Santana."
I peered over my shoulders at Greyson. He was hitting on me the whole entire twelve hours I spent with him and it was kind of getting annoying. "Yes?" I replied, trying to keep my composure.
"There's a really good spot here for wood." Greyson said. "Come look."
I dropped the wood I had been carrying and tredged over to where ever Greyson was. Everyone was trying to find wood or sticks to build our bonfire. Greyson was at the peak of a stock of woods, grinning proudly. "Come up here, the view is great."
I hiked up the stack of wood until I was one step away from Greyson. Me being the clumsy person I am, I slipped up and almost fell over. Greyson's arms were instantly around my waist. I had the urge to push him off, but instead, I fake smiled at him; knowing Cody was watching. "Thanks."
"Any time, sweetie."
I instantly felt bad. Here I was, thinking all of these negative thoughts about him and using him for my own selfish needs. Instead of getting to know him and treating him as a friend, I was playing with his emotions.
I grabbed a stick next to my foot and poked Greyson with it. Friends do this, right? I don't have a lot of friends because I'm always traveling and touring with Cody and Alli. I'm used to meeting people and not getting to see them again for a few months.
Greyson pretended to wince in pain. "Ouch, that hurt."
"Then this is really gonna suck for you." I carefully pushed him, causing him to stumble back. I stuck out my tongue at him before leaping out of the log and sprinting back to the camp-site.
"You're gonna pay for that!" Greyson yelled.
He was several feet behind me, and by the time I made it back, he was no where in sight.
"Shh."
"What are you doing?" I curiously asked Alli.
"I'm trying to make a bird call." Alli said in a bored tone. "Bru, bru, bru."
I tuck out my iPhone from my back pocket and began recording Alli. If I thought it was hillarious, so would thousands of her followers. I tweeted:
Alli trying to contact her long lost family: keek.com/asdfgk012simp0789;ect
"Gotcha!" I heard someone say before tackling me to the ground. Greyson was on top of me, grinning like an idiot.
I smiled at him. "It took you awhile."
"Sorry. I, uh, had to make a 'pit' stop on my way back." He muttered.
"Did you use a leaf to wipe off?" I asked sarcastically.
"No, but there was this really pretty leaf that was kind of pink and had holes in it, right next to me. It looked as if an animal bit into it."
I gasped. "Greyson -- that's poision ivy!"
"Yeah right."
"Have you been experiencing any itching?"
Greyson nodded. "N-- actually, now that you mention it, yeah. I have."
"Santana." A firm voice spoke.
It was Cody.
"Yeah?" I asked, surprised that he was actually talking to me.
"Can you help me out with something in the kitchen?" His jaw was clenched and it looked as if he were about to lash out any minute.
"It's alright," Alli said, "Christian and I can finish up with the wood. Right?"
"What? No!" Christian protested.
Alli elbowed him. "I mean -- yes we can." He corrected himself.
I smiled apologetically at them before following Cody into the Beach House. "What do you want, Simpson?"
"What's going on with you and Greyson?"
"What?" I pretended to act stupid.
"Don't act stupid; you know what I mean."
"What are you, my dad? Why should you care?" I demanded.
Cody took in a deep breath before responding. "I have every reason to care."
"Can you give me one?"
"I can't lie to you anymore," Cody said, storming toward me.
I raised my eyebrow at him. "What do you mean?"
"I'm being such a hypocrite." He began pacing up and down the kitchen.
"Cody, are you alright? You're kind of scaring me." I mumbled.
He looked me in the eye. "I'm so sorry for getting angry with you about keeping things from me. I feel so bad because I've been keeping a secret from you for as long as I can remember."
"What?" I asked in confusion.
"I'm in love with you." Was all he replied before crashing his lips onto mine.

Crow Tempora is an optimistic country bumpkin who knows very little of life in the heart of the world's cities, however behind his easy smile is a stony determination to achieve his goal of accomplishing the impossible- one that he can only reach by winning the Sieve, the largest competition of young Mystics the world has ever seen. Famous across the entire world and loved almost as widely, Gemini Menza has never known a single day of anonymity in her short life. After all, she was also given the privilege of joining at a younger age than anyone else. Machiavellian manipulator Unity Eden is growing tired of the tasks forced onto him by those who control him, unfortunately he also happens to be controlled by the leaders of the largest empire the world has ever seen. While he has little hope of wriggling his way out of it, he intends to make his entry into the Sieve as damaging to them as he can. Caught between enough crisscrossing schemes to form a spiderweb, she must use every ounce of her not inconsiderable mind to keep herself from playing into another's hands... all while solving a mysterious and seemingly impossible murder. The winds of change are blowing in Bermuda, and only one person will shape them. Cover art by: Nova @no_no_nova on tiktok @no_no_no_nova on ig THREE NEW CHAPTERS POSTED EVERY SINGLE WEEK.

Heart of Dorkness
When an accident causes the early death of two young women, one is chosen to become a hero, a saviour, and a servant of the God of Heroes! This is not her story. This is the story of Valeria, whose soul clung to her friend’s, and who was dragged into a new world where her wandering spirit was claimed by the Goddess of Darkness. And so, one who doesn’t belong grows to become the servant of the Dark Goddess, a servant—definitely not a daughter—who will usher in a new age of despair and disgust. The only problem is, she’s really bad at the whole “evil” thing, not that she’s unwilling to do her best to please her adoptive mom, the Dark Goddess Luciana.

Elania, Arachne in a different world
Does have GL subplot later on. Warning: Since some people do not seem to get the slice of life idea, this story is SLOW. There is action and I intend to write more of it but don't come here expecting it to be the focus 24/7. A young woman from Earth wakes up in a cave, disoriented, confused, amnesic and with her lower body replaced by that of a giant spider. She has no idea what she stumbled into and all the extra sensations were definitely not helping. "Did I get reincarnated into a fantasy world?" She's not quite sure. But, the goblin, the troll and (soon enough) the hot elf all suggest "yes." As much as it creeps her out, her new body is powerful and flexible in some very interesting 'spidery' ways as she slowly learns to live with it. Combined with what modern knowledge she can still remember, the newly christened Elania soon finds herself building a new life as an adventurer among the elves. Who knows what awaits her? Maybe, just maybe, she might even find happiness along the way. There will be a fair amount of errors in writing up until chapter 43 (where I got a proper proofreader/editor to help me out.) Chapters 1-20 or so will at some point receive partial rewriting because I don't quite like the flow and feel there are some parts that don't make as much sense as they should. Please don't suggest edits for chapters up until 43, anything after that, feel free to in case we missed anything. Find me on discord at : https://discord.gg/TqFjdv8uaE
