"What are you doing, Bella? Get off of her!" I heard Cody demand. He pulled Bella off of me by her shoulders as she clenched her fists in frustration.
I stood up and smoothed my hair while glaring at Bella. "Are you okay, Santana?" Cody asked, concern clear in his voice.
I nodded reassuringly. "I'm fine, Cody. I'm used to your girlfriend being a female dog."
"Huh?" Cody asked, furrowing his eyebrows in confusion. "You're used to Bella acting like a bi--"
"Language." Alli warned.
"Sorry," Cody murmured.
Alli smiled. "That's okay, I find it hard to keep my language P.G. whenever I'm around Bella, too."
Cody raised his eyebrow at her. "What are you guys talking about?"
"Nothing." Bella interrupted, cupping Cody's chin. "Don't listen to them, baby. Those losers over there locked me up in a wardrobe in my dressing room." Bella shrieked, pointedly looking at Alli and I.
"I don't understand what's going on." Cody said.
"You're not the only one. They locked you up in a wardrobe? Wow, that's awful!" Zendaya cried, putting her acting skills into action.
"Oh, shut it, Coleman. I saw you walk in and walk right out." Bella snapped.
Zendaya looked as if she had gained a lot more confidence. "Well, Bella, maybe if you weren't such a douche bag all of the time, you wouldn't be in that situation in the first time."

"What do you mean that she's always a douche?" Cody asked to nobody in particular. He looked as if he were in another dimension.
Bella stomped her foot in annoyance. "Baby, look at me, okay?" Bella said, stroking his cheek with the back of her hand. She rolled her eyes in frustration when she followed Cody's eyes and realized who he was looking at -- me.
"Santana, can you please explain to me what's going on?" He pleaded, sounding desperate.
I couldn't tell him the truth about Bella. I would eventually, but not here, not now. I didn't want to embarrass Cody like that. "It's no--" I tried to say before getting interrupted.
"My set!" Gio shrieked. "What in the world has happened to this prop?" He asked aloud, referring to what I fell on earlier.
"She did it!" Bella and I simultaneously said, pointing at one another.

"So, you mean to tell me that my girlfriend has been using me and acting fake all along?" Cody asked.
Alli and I nodded quickly. "Yes," we mumbled.
Cody's nose cringed as his eyes narrowed. There was a long silence before he responded. "How could you two not have told me? Alli, this doesn't surprise me coming from you. Santana, you're my best friend and are supposed to have my back. Why didn't you tell me?"
Cody's voice broke several times. He looked as if he were about to cry any minute. I quickly said something, trying to avoid the water-works. "Cody, I only wanted you to be happy. I don't care if Bella made my life and everybody else's around her miserable. She made you smile and that was all that mattered to me," I explained.
Cody's expression never softened. Instead, he only seemed angrier. It seemed as if he were taking all of his frustration on me. I wasn't the only one who thought Bella was evil. Any one she's met must have thought the same, too.

"I put you before me always, Santana. If she was making you so upset, why didn't you tell me? Knowing that you had to endure that for six months makes me angrier than this whole situation itself. You should have been a good best friend and told me." Cody murmured.
At first, I felt guilty and sad. Now, I was just about raging inside. "Don't take this all out on me, Cody. I'm sorry for trying to do the right thing and keeping my mouth shut. Don't pull that guilt trip and try to make me feel upset. It takes two people to be best friends, you know that? You should have been a good best friend and been able to see that for the last six months I was miserable because you were with HER and n--" I stopped myself mid-sentence before I said anything I may regret.
"What were you going to say?" Cody asked, cocking his head sideways in confusion. It seemed as if he were trying to piece together a puzzle that I didn't want him to.
"Nothing." I quickly said, looking away and meeting Alli's eyes. I had forgotten she was still here. There was a twinkle in her eye as if she had just caught on to something. Shoot.
Cody's bewilderment was quickly replaced by anger again. "Are you just going to lie to me again? Is this what our whole entire friendship was based on?"
"No!" I quickly yelled, almost choking on my words. "How could you think that?"
"Well, when you're ready to tell me the truth and start being honest, let me know." Was all he had said before slipping out of the living room and trudging up the stairs.
Did I just lose my best friend?
I blinked several times, unable to make anything out of this situation. I felt like curling up into a ball on the couch and crying my heart out.
Alli must have saw the look on my face because she seated herself beside me quickly. She pulled me into a comforting embrace while saying things under her breath.
To my surprise, no tears fell out of my eyes. I didn't feel anything at all. I felt broken all at once.
"You like Cody, don't you?" Alli asked after a while.
I shook my head 'no.'
I was tired of lying and keeping everything bottled up inside. "I don't like him, Alli," I admitted.
Alli shot me a look of disbelief.
"I'm in love with him."
