"Smile for the camera," I encouraged, "because they're all about to trash you." I teasingly added.
This cracked a smile out of Cody. It was the first time he had showed any other emotion other than his serious one during this whole entire photo shoot.
Laurence, the photographer, took this to his advantage and snapped another picture. "How do you do that, kid?" Laurence asked, never taking his eyes off of Cody.
"What do you mean?" Besides wearing feminine clothing, Laurence and I had another thing in common. We were both interested in Cody and had our eyes locked on him.
The only difference is that we were admiring Cody for different reasons. I was looking at him because I am secretly in love with him, while Laurence had his attention focused on him because of business. Then again, I wouldn't doubt the fact that maybe Laurence found something attractive about Cody too.
Laurence was an average height male who wore two sizes less skinny jeans and colorful clothing. I see the way he licks his lips when ever Cody strikes a new pose.
Now I have to watch out for Laurence and Bella. This is just peachy.
I'm only kidding about the Laurence part, though. At least I hope I am. Because somebody would be facing serious jail time.
"I mean that you're the only person who can make Cody show any other emotion. If we lived in the early 1700s, you would be beheaded for magic," Laurence explained.
I laughed in amusement at Laurence's joke. "Cody is always laughing." I told him.
Laurence scoffed. "I've been working with this kid for a year, do you think my pictures would really lie to you?" He said.
I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. When ever Cody and I were together, we laughed or smiled more than the two of us breathed. I have never seen him serious, unless he was working or something bad had happened.
"You should come around more often. I can feel the positive energy whenever you're here." Laurence admitted.
Cody was too busy getting his hair fixed, or getting another jacket to throw on in between breaks to listen to my conversation with Laurence. When Cody came back, I quickly wanted to change the subject.
"Admit it, Laurence," I teasingly said, "you only want me here so that I can bring you coffee."
Laurence smirked. "Can you make that with extra sugar?"
I winced at the sudden flash of light. "I don't think so," I sarcastically replied.
"Please with a cherry on top?" Laurence begged, positioning himself in an awkward angle to take another picture.
I rolled my eyes and chuckled. "Fine, but only because you're begging." I turned around to make my way to the break table when I heard another voice speak.

"Can you bring me back a pack of gummy bears?" Cody asked.
"If you want to maintain your weight and keep the pretty little face of yours, I suggest she doesn't." Laurence firmly said.
I gave Cody a sympathetic look as I trudged down the hallway. These were the times that I felt bad for him and wish he could go back to not being a teen pop sensation.
I made my way to the snack table to find Alli nervously gnawing on a Twizzler. "I see you got a new text from Christian." I said, causing her to look up in terror.
Alli quickly placed a hand on her heart. "You scared me."
"I'm sorry," I mumbled, giving her a teasing smirk and hopping onto the table beside her.
"No, it was your face that scared me." Alli sarcastically said.
"I promise to bring my mask next time." I said, rolling my eyes and leaning over to see the screen on her iPhone.
"He said he wants to FaceTime and I don't want to say no, but I look really bad!" Alli cried all at once.
I gave her a quick over view and bit my lower lip. I wouldn't be a good best friend if I told her she looked fine. Alli honestly did look okay, but not okay enough to talk to your crush.
"Go get ready while I talk to Christian," I said.
Alli's eyes lit up into a smile. "Who's the best?" She called out from over her shoulder.
"I am," I muttered. By the time I could respond, she was already half way down the hallway and making her way into her own dressing room.
I sighed and fell down onto the couch, unlocking her iPhone and connecting onto FaceTime with Christian.
"Hello gorgeou--I mean, hey Santana." Christian nervously said. "It's not that you're not gorgeous either, it's just that I thought you were Alli and I--I'm gonna stop talking now."
I giggled at the blush forming on his cheeks. "You go and do that."
Christian awkwardly scratched the back of his neck. "I think I FaceTimed you by an accident. I was kind of looking for Alli, I'm sorry."
"It's all good," I assured him, "you dialed the right phone number. Alli left to, um," I wasn't good at lying. "To go and bathe her dog."
"Why is her dog on set with you?" Christian cautiously asked.
I shrugged my shoulders. "I don't know, you know how Alli is."
Christian nodded, his lips curving upward into a smile. "Yeah, I know how she is."
Talk about cute?
"When are we gonna get to see you? I haven't seen you in person in over a month." I said.

"It's been that long? I guess I'm just used to either texting, calling or FaceTiming Alli." Christian admitted. He clapped a hand against his mouth when he realized what he had just said. "I mea--"
Christian was just adorable when ever he talked about Alli.
"Save it, Beadles." I grinned. "How about we surprise Alli by having you fly out here this weekend?" I asked.
Christian nodded furiously. "That sounds great. I really miss her! It's not that I don't miss you too, I just, well I kind of miss her more."
I rolled my eyes at him. "You're so weird, you know that?"
"But you love me." He beamed.
What is up with everybody and saying that?
"Sadly," I responded, giving him a playful wink. Just then, Alli popped her head into the room. "I'm gonna give you who you were looking for now," I murmured.
Christian's eyes widened as he quickly looked himself over in the mirror placed beside him. "Thank you, Santa."
I stuck out my tongue at him. I really dislike that nick name. "It was nice talking to you," he added.
I smiled and gave him a small wave. "Talk to you later, Beadles." I passed the phone to Alli.
"Don't have too much fun." I mumbled into her ear. Alli blushed and pushed me out of the break room. Before exiting, I managed to grab Laurence's coffee and a bag of gummy bears.
Screw what anybody else thought.
I shoved the bag of gummy bears into my pocket and raced down the hallway.
"I thought you died." Laurence said in a monotone expression.
I handed him his coffee. "Gee, it's great to know that you would have cared," I sarcastically said.
"I'm so happy we're done with this shoot," Cody mumbled, "I'm starving."
I waited until Laurence was packing up his equipment before pulling the gummy bears out of my pocket. I sat down on the floor beside Cody and waved the small bag of candy back and forth in my hands.
"Would a bag of gummy bears make you feel better?" I asked with a teasing smile.
Cody nodded furiously. "They definitely would. But do you know what would make it even better?" He asked, his voice trailing.
"What?" I asked, tearing open the packet with my teeth.
Cody smirked. "If a certain someone fed them to me."
Two could play this game. "That sounds like a nice idea, but could you describe this certain someone to me?"
"She is an attractive person, can make me laugh on my worst days and has a beautiful smile." Cody described.
"Oh," I simply said, throwing a red gummy bear into the air. Cody opened his mouth and I clapped my hands in amusement when he caught it. "It sounds like you're describing Beyonce."
Cody chuckled. "Do you want another hint?"
I nibbled on the orange gummy bear in my mouth. "Bring it on."
"Her nick name is Santa."
I smirked, throwing another gummy bear in his direction. "This Santa girl sounds like a really cool person."
"Oh, she is. I can talk to her about anything and everything."
"I think I've heard of her," I played along, bringing a finger up to my chin, "doesn't she have a lot more swag than you?"
Cody's eyes widened in amusement. "Oh, does she?" Were the last words he said before gently pushing me onto my back and resting his legs on either side of my waist.
He began tickling me where he knew I hated to be tickled. "C-Cody, hehe!" I managed to choke out. "S-stop ti-ti-tickling me."
Cody shook his head. "Nah, I think I like where I am right now." If you like it then I'm in paradise right now.
"Pretty please with a cherry on top?"
"It may work on you, but not on me." Cody stated.
I frowned, flailing my arms around everywhere trying to escape his death grip. It was no use, Cody was a body builder compared to me.
"What do I ha-have to, aha, say to g-get you to s-s-stop?!" I shrieked.
Cody immediately stopped laughing and leaned his face closer toward mine. He rested his hands on either side of my face as the two of us stared into each other's eyes.
For some reason, I felt as if I had seen a flicker of pain flash threw his eyes. The features on his face quickly softened as he curved his lips upward into a crooked smile. "You know what you have to say," he whispered.
I squinted my eyes at him. "Fine," I said, holding up my hands in defeat.
After a moment of silence, Cody quickly said, "Any day now, grandma."
I glared at him for a moment.
"You."
"Have."
"An."
"Utterly."
"Impossible."
"Amount."
"Of."
"Swa--SIKE!" No matter how happy I was in the position I was lying down in, I pushed Cody off of me and began sprinting down the hallway.
